Bea: There's Nothing There
I should have known that Eric was going to spy on Noah and I. I should have known the second he walked in the door. But no, I was stressed and my guard was down and he was able to take advantage of that. He was able to use my stressed out self to watch me without me noticing and reported to Len on all of it. And I know, since Len most desperately wanted to hear that Noah and I were madly in love, that he exaggerated everything to make her happy. He got points for being a good boyfriend but no points for being a good friend.
So he saw whatever he thought he saw and told Len, who immediately told everyone else. She had become convinced that I liked Noah and that he liked me but that we were each too shy to say anything to each other. Naturally, she then thought that the only way to get us to get together was to make sure everyone encouraged us. It was madness.
Every. Single. Person. Knew. About. It. It was so embarrassing and I didn't even know how to act around everyone. People would come up to be constantly and ask me about how things with Noah were going. There wasn't anything going on! The entire thing just felt like middle school all over again. I can never understand why people who have escaped from the clutches of middle school would want to rush back into it and make everyone else feel like they were in middle school again. I just hope they left Noah alone, I didn't need him bothering me about any of it.
