Assistant Stage Manager (ASM): Another person in a headset, the person telling everyone what to do when the SM loses their voices, someone you could probably piss off but doesn't matter, someone that doesn't really matter as long as Bea is around because, if she is, the ASM is just a figurehead.

The Booth: A shortened term for the "Tech Booth."

Call: Time when all the actors and crew need to be at the theater before a show (the stage manager needs to be there earlier to check people in).

Director: In our case, Mr. Daniels. As the director, he is the one in charge of keeping us in line and making sure we don't burn the theater down. He is also in charge of making sure no one gets pregnant during a show, because apparently the administration is so terrified of that it is part of his contract (or so he says).

Ghost Light: A light that is used to light the stage when there is no one in the theater. Traditionally it is used to keep crew members from falling into the orchestra pit (which we don't have) but here it is used as more of a symbolic thing. We most notably use it after we strike the last show of the year as a way for the seniors to say goodbye and for everyone else to say goodbye to them.

Prompt: When an actor forgets their line during rehearsal the stage manager (or some other crew member) will prompt them to help them remember it. However, during shows they are on their own.

Prop Closet: The closet (more like a room thing) where all the objects used onstage during shows (called props) are kept. It is also a favorite make out spot for some of the students, since they're teenagers and not many people go in there during rehearsals as the props are kept on the prop table during that time.

Stage Manager/Production Stage Manager (SM/PSM): A person in a headset, the person telling everyone what to do, someone you don't want to piss off.

Tech Booth: The room somewhere in the theater where the light and sound boards are. This is also where the light and sound board operators sit.
