Devotions.
The Stag.
Lael Mercia.

"You're beautiful." Kybern muttered as he held Lael close to his body, as possessively as he could without drawing too much attention. "I'm the perfect stranger my lord, you know nothing about me except my name and this home of mine, I try." Lael replied and knowing men like Kybern, he would try soothe him, tell him his home was beautiful. "Your home is a marvel, it's perfect, and I feel ashamed for what I did, please forgive me." The demon offered and that didn't surprise Lael, reading this demon was like taking things off an already written script, he was predictable.

When he dipped him and brought him back up his hands held on tighter, that was lust settling in, but he wouldn't voice it out. "My forgiveness isn't easily won, and sweet words wont earn it either." Lael whispered in his ear as he was twirled away from the demon then brought back gently yet possesively. "I wanted the west because it seemed the best option, but now having seen what resides in the west, it's treasure, I want it all, so no one will get in my way to claim you, mistress of the Stag." Kybern exclaimed and Lael did his best to seem unaffected, what Kybern was telling him was dangerous, what lengths would he go to, just to achieve that.

"There will be many who die, and that is not the way of the West." Lael stated as he slowly let go of the demon and took steps back but he followed, and that's how Lael knew just how twisted Kybern was. "Yes, those who get in my way will die, you're no stranger to death yourself mistress, I don't promise to keep casualties out of the west, but the stag and those who reside in it, will not be harmed, aslong as they show me the respect, I'm owed." Kybern stated with a guttural growl in the end as Lael was caught in his arms again and they danced to a fast paced beat, this was their climax.

"My lord, I look forward to that promise being kept." Lael whispered seeming small, vulnerable and unaware, possessive demons and ancient ones craved submissive partners, what Lael was displaying was right on the spot as Kybern released another guttural growl but a bit more gentle. "For you mistress." He whispered in a deep baritone as Lael bowed to the demon Kybern who seemed to appreciate it greatly. "I must attend to my other guests, have a good evening with miss Karami I presume." Lael suggestively stated and Kybern snickered. "She's only a guide, have a good evening yourself mistress, until we dance again." He assured as they parted.

Lael now knew there was no persuading Kybern to do anything or sway him from his end goal, he wanted it all and anyone in his way would be collateral, he'd managed to buy himself and his family time, but would it actually enough to make a plan, and get rid of Kybern before he started killing, he had no idea. The stag after — as always a successful night was now closing and Lael was in his office making a call to Dunkan, he didn't have enough time to go to him and back since Cagli was waiting on him in his allocated room.

"I know very well this isn't a social call." Dunkan grumbled as Lael chuckled. "Secure the line." He told him and a few clicks later it showed on his screen too. "I'm sorry for waking you love, but I need you to make sure your men are ready for anything, fortify the south and your territory, Kybern is bent on having it all, even I can't dissuade him from trying to soak the city in blood." Lael explained as the wolf on the other side hummed then growled. "I will get everything ready, the pack is safe now, the rebuild is complete, we've grown in numbers, and have more coming each day." Dunkan replied as Lael sighed in relief. "It warms my heart knowing you were worried about me baby." He teased and Lael couldn't help roll his eyes.

"Despite your many flaws, I do care for you Dunkan, I do love you, I just don't like showing it, you get cocky." He asserted and Dunkan scoffed. "First time in a while you tell me you love me and you mix it up like that, how cruel of you." He faked hurt over the line making Lael chuckle. "I'm not cocky, I know what I have, and I cherish it." He amended and Lael nodded though Dunkan couldn't see it. "I know sweetheart." He replied and Dunkan gasped. "You are on fire tonight huh, I'm touched." He teased again and Lael couldn't help it. "Idiot." He muttered and the wolf scoffed. "I'm your idiot, or have you forgotten." He taunted and Lael actually laughed.

"I'm hanging up now sugar daddy." He teased and the growl he got was sharp and riddled with possessiveness. "And don't you forget it, have a good night apple pie, I'll be dreaming of you." He exclaimed and Lael snickered. "Who else would you dream of." He cheekily replied as he cut the call before another of their banter began and he prolonged their call and yes Lael was smiling, it's what Dunkan did to him most of the time, he was carefree, loved to love and laugh whilst Cagli held more air for the stoic, dominant, sexy man who took no nonsense, but he could banter too, just not as well as Dunkan, they balanced each other out in Lael's life, he just couldn't choose.

Both men were his men, he knew they were devoted to him, deeply and darkly, they both knew the other existed and they kept their peace despite knowing, which further complicated stuff because it meant Lael was going to have a harder time choosing, and a big part of him didn't want to, he didn't want to lose either but if he didn't choose sooner, he'd lose both, that in itself would just be heartbreaking. So the thoughts kept churning in his head until he got to the door of Cagli's exclusive room, a once knock had Cagli calling that he come in.

"When did you change love?" He asked right then and indeed he had changed into something more comfortable, with fuzzy socks, which were warmer. "It's late, I can't keep wearing that very restrictive outfit all night." He chortled and Cagli hummed coming over to Lael once the door was locked. "I would've liked ripping it off you though." He whispered stalking him like a predator until his back was by the wall. "That was never going to happen." Lael chuckled as Cagli scoffed and his shirt fell to the floor showing off his chiselled eight pack, rigid muscle and inflated biceps that were warm to the touch.

"By now that trick won't work, nice try though." Lael mused as he chuckled to a hissing Cagli who thought seduction would get through, Lael had enough of his sexual desire satiated to last a long time with how much and long he went at it with Rod, that in itself was another topic he didn't want to go through on one day. "How about now?" Cagli asked as his pants dropped along with anything else under leaving him naked, hard, and leaking. "Please, make me feel." He went on his knees and Lael was stunned, this was new and damn Cagli for actually going on his knees, he was about to make him break a lot of rules as the vampire's fingers trailed on the hem of his black sweatpants.

"Only because you're on your knees." Lael whispered as the vampire grinned and was quick to have his lips connect with Lael's arousing that heat again, that all but needed holy water to quench and nothing else.

"I hate you." Lael muttered as he and Cagli separated on the bed, it had been their fourth round and the vampire was now satisfied. "Don't pretend like you didn't like being inside me." He teased as Lael rolled his eyes. "You're distracting me from something aren't you?" Lael finally asserted as he was wrapped in a sheet. "No, I might." Cagli confessed making Lael snicker. "You still can't lie too." He pointed out and the vampire rolled his eyes laying next to his delicate prize, at least that's what he assumed. "I wanted you, I'm satisfied and I also wish the other was here, I can't stop pretending that I don't imagine him naked and ontop of me, yes, it's happened, but the main reason for my fantasies now is because I see how much you're strained between having to choose me or him, and for you, I accept him too." Cagli's confession indeed shocked Lael, he hadn't expected him to be mature about their situation.

"I didn't expect that, expect you to be mature." He pointed out and Cagli chuckled. "And very mature of you to be open about what you want him to do to you." He added as Cagli hissed, his fangs nipping at Lael's skin. "Hey, you said it not me." He argued as Cagli came up ontop of him and just laid himself there. "This feels good." He mumbled in his naked state. "Crushing me feels good, I had no idea." Lael mused as the vampire laughed lowly. "Are you sure this sudden acceptance has nothing too do with an alliance of some sort against Kybern?" Lael demanded and Cagli rose up a little to face Lael's face. "No, it's about you and what I've been —well, we've been forcing you to do and that's wrong, if he wants an alliance then good for us but my tolerance of him comes in for you." He explained dipping down to kiss Lael.

"Alright, I'll set up a date, and see if you two can actually sit in the same room without shooting anyone or each other." Lael chortled as Cagli snickered. "You're about to be pleasantly surprised." The vampire chuckled as Lael remembered something. "Your nephew is causing trouble for my child." He mentioned and this piqued Cagli's attention as he laid next to Lael on the bed. "Seris, causing trouble." Cagli muttered and Lael nodded. "Kolby wouldn't lie to me or his brothers and sister, he says Seris saw him before I took him in and it wasn't a savoury situation, so now that Kolby has it better, Seris is causing trouble for him, the school authority or anyone else for that matter can't help since Seris is popular and like you surprised he'd actually get in trouble." Lael explained and Cagli nodded and his head hit the pillow.

"I've always known the kid has some sort of bad bone in his body, he masks it well but he's taken after some of the things his father used to do, don't worry my love, I'll straighten him out, I promise." Cagli assured and Lael nodded thankfully. "I'm holding you to that promise, I swear." He added and Cagli smiled. "I know, now come here, let me keep you warm." He drew him closer to his large body, it was warm and Lael appreciated the heat, his strong vampiric heartbeat that beat ever so slowly lulling him to peaceful sleep, hopefully tomorrow would be a better day.

Kolby Mercia.

"Have fun at school sweetheart, and don't forget, if you need anything or find yourself in trouble Dunkan Blanc's office is a few blocks from here, he'll help you alright." Sal told Kolby who nodded with a smile as he got out of the car, it was friday, the end of the week and he couldn't be more glad, everyone loved the weekend, he'd get to sleep in a bit more before work. Walking onto campus was a breeze, ever since he told mum Lael of his resident bully who practically got away with everything because he was rich and popular, life seemed to get better, the next day Seris never came to school, and the days that followed, even now, Kolby was unsure the vampire had come in.

"Hey Kolby, ready for that test?" Devon asked as he opened his locker opposite Kolby, he was also a third year, a fae and had all the same classes as Kolby, he was also the only other friend he had, which he appreciated since he liked his circle small. "I'm not but my brothers helped me a lot, I think I'm ready for a B+ depending on how miss Pritcher is feeling on giving her marks." He replied with a smile and Devon laughed along with him. "Well let's go see." Devon encouraged as they began walking to class, Kolby was finally happy with his life, despite everything that had happened to him, some of those he can't remember for some reason, it all feels as if it was fading, but he didn't care, life was alright now.

He had a family that loved him, helped him and needed him as much as he needed them, he had school, two close friends, and a least favourite teacher, he was enjoying his awkward years of high school, he liked it, with it's many ups and downs, having it meant the world to him. "Whoa what happened to him?" Devon asked as he slightly pointed to Seris Mencini, his bully, he had finally come to school. "Whatever it was, they were not sorry, I'm sure that black eye isn't the only shiner he has, the way he's walking I'd wager he's got still healing bones." Devon stated and Kolby didn't feel sorry for the guy, honestly he'd made his school life hell, he didn't feel anything because he couldn't physically force himself to have sympathy for him.

As for what happened to him, he knew it was because of him, Kolby had told mum Lael and since mum Lael was very close to the Mencini Don who was also the family head, he was probably told hence the painful looking bruises and limp. "Whatever lets go." Kolby asserted as he nudged Devon who nodded and they walked away. "Did you have anything to do with that, I know he was giving you trouble and no one listened to you." Devon asserted as they sat in class, Kolby knew it wasn't an accusation so he just shook his head in refusal. "I just told my dad what was happening at school, that's all." He protested and Devon chuckled then nodded. "Whatever happened, he deserved it bro, he had to be knocked down a peg anyway." His friend added as they just laughed as their teacher walked in.

"Alright class, settle down, you know what's happening, if you're prepared, you won't fail." She announced as Kolby just nodded, yet he couldn't help look to his right back, someone had a searing gaze onto his back, when he turned to face the eyes glaring holes into him they turned away. "Hey focus." Devon nudged him but how could he when Seris yet again was giving him the evil vampire eye, but for the sake of peace. "Yeah, yeah I know." He told Devon who nodded as they both faced miss Pritcher who smiled slightly at the two. "I expect nothing but excellence Mercia, Dottela." She addressed them both and Kolby knew his friend gulped down hard too.

After the class, Kolby sent Devon ahead with his stuff since he needed to get something from his locker for their presentation, he'd actually gotten to his locker when he was suddenly yanked away and appeared in the boy's bathroom with no one other than Seris Mencini. "What that hell is wrong with you?" Kolby demanded as something happened behind him, a manifestation of his power, the mirror broke and he noticed it. "I got beat up by my uncle because of you and what you had to say, you were supposed to keep your mouth shut, and take it." He hissed and Kolby was shocked, of course Seris would blame him for something that wasn't his fault.

"You got what you deserved, I dont know you, I didn't need to know you, but you were the one who kicked me, locked me in that classroom, punched me, you abused me for no apparent reason other than your whims, I am not a punching bag, so I wouldn't and will not take it silently, you have issues, go take your frustrations out on someone else." Kolby spat back as Seris came up to him, his hand on Kolby's throat, squeezing and in turn made Kolby choke. "I want you obedient and submissive, I should've been harder on you." The vampire hissed as his fangs elongated and he went to bite Kolby but something in Kolby told him to fight, the lessons he was being taught by mum Lael weren't just lessons. "Get off me!" Kolby screamed his demand as he pushed back Seris with a brilliant white energy that engulfed him and shined like raw sunlight, yet it radiated no heat.

Seris had been thrown into a stall and cracked the concrete wall behind him. "I'm not weak, I won't let you push me around because you can, I'm never going to be submissive to an abusive bully like you." Kolby proclaimed as he waved his hand channeling what seemed to be water but it was vapor that burned a bright white, it wrapped around Seris and he willed it to pull him toward him then he threw the much larger vampire into several more stalls that shattered on impact and left Seris barely conscious and groaning. Kolby calmed himself and breathed deep to calm his beating heart, he had no idea what had happened but he was glad it happened.

He quickly ran out of the bathroom and toward his locker, he was already late for class and if Devon failed because of him, he'd never hear the end of it and they would be required to do the whole assignment again. He skidded to a stop by the door and it seemed fate was looking a little better down on him, their teacher wasn't in. "Where were you, I had to spill coffe of mister Dek, just to buy you time." Devon demanded as Kolby heaved a sigh sitting next to Devon. "It's a long story, thanks for buying me time, and yes I'll tell you at lunch period if its not already local news by then." Kolby mumbled piquing the fae'e interest. "Okay, I'm looking forward to this adventure of yours." Devon muttered as mister Dek finally came back.

Salim Amrit Mercia.

"This better be good." Sal hissed as he looked as the man opposite him, he was dressed in a three piece navy blue suit, he looked exquisite, and worthy of the praise he was getting from just the looks everyone was giving him. "Don't be like that love, you're way too delicate to frown so much." Sydeny mumbled as Sal scoffed, he had a way with words, it's one thing that attracted him to Sydney but not anymore, he'd loved him for the last time. "I don't want your venom coated words Sydney, you said you wanted something, to discuss something, that's why I'm here, say what you will and I'll be on my way." Sal harshly replied and Sydney Fesher just smiled leaning over and taking Sal's hand.

"Don't be so harsh with me my love, I know I hurt you when I chose the family over you, hurt you even more when I didn't come back to you, it's those regrets that keep me up at night, and I'm sorry." The older much dominant male at the table stated shocking Sal, he'd never apologized, he evaded those words, hearing them now, he knew to be suspicious. "You do not easily apologize, and I wanted that apology years ago not now, so whatever it is that you want, no, I don't want to hear it, I'm not falling for this trap again." Sal asserted as he got up to leave.

"Amrit!" Sydney suddenly called out with his middle name, no one did that, only Rod and Lael. "How dare you?" He hissed as Sydney placed Sal's hand on his beating heart. "I'm not lying, this is no ploy, I miss you, I want us back." He explained and Sal was overwhelmed with emotion then he remembered what the very same man had done to him all those years ago. "I've changed, I hurt you, I know, but please don't —." He whispered begging but Sal wasn't easily swayed. "I've loved you for the last time Sydney, I kissed you for the last time, I'm done with whatever this was." Sal replied as he forced his hand free and used his speed to vanish from the spot he stood on, to his car and soon he was gone.

"You are mine, you'll always be mine, and I will not let another have you, never."
