~Y/n pov~

We were informed that a dragon hour glass was found underwater near Cal Mira , so we immediately prepared for the upcoming wave.

I stood on the boat beside Itsuki, waiting for the next wave to hit.

The ship all flowed as we started teleporting, the sky turned red , black and swirly .

Almost instantly , lots of sea monsters started falling out the portal, we dropped bombs into the water.

They exploded one after the other like a domino effect .

Some of the creatures floated to the top of the water, presumably dead.

"The bombs are made of concentrated alcohol, it will most likely affect the monsters as much as it affects people." Itsuki explained.

I nodded , "That makes sense."

Everyone with a bow stood at the edge of the boat and fired at the floating fish, I fired ice from my staff .

A huge sea monster, jumped out the water before attacking one of the ships, it was like it was trained or something .

Naofumi went underwater with Filo and managed to make the sea monster jump out of the water again.

When it did, we were more prepared and all shot at it simultaneously .

Our attacks seemed to have not much affect despite our power levelling .

The creature landed with a big splash and then destroyed one of our boats, causing dozens of people to fall into the sea.

Me, Naofumi and Itsuki continued our attacks on the creatures .

The other heroes attack however seemed basically useless, maybe it's because they're not serious or they don't have their priorities straight.

The adventures that Naofumi was friends with started helping out and it was very useful.

He managed to defeat the big sea beast with his overwhelming power.

The other heroes turned out to be hostile , from another world so to speak.

And Naofumi knew he had to make a decision, this world or theirs .

Me and Itsuki stayed on the boat protecting people because a lot of them were too weak to hold their own.

Ren and Motoyasu were with Naofumi but it seemed like they were just being a burden.

Looking over at the shield hero's fight, I realised they were way stronger than him and I don't think he had any chance of winning.

Eventually , despite not beating them, they left through the portals and the wave was over.

I sat next to Itsuki staring out at the sea, "Watching Naofumi fight like that, I felt so weak and helpless because I couldn't do much to help."

Itsuki sighed, "Honestly me too."

Our hands intertwined.

"We need to get stronger, I don't want to rely on others anymore. No more excuses. I never knew being weak was this frustrating." Tears cascaded down my cheeks.

Silently, Itsuki laid his head on top and mine, and wrapped one arm around my waist tightly.

I felt safe...
