"Let me out of here! I'll fight each and every one of you! Bring Ironwood here!" Robyn shouted, sticking her face against the prison cell bars. Qrow rubbed his temples, a headache was beginning to form thanks to his cellmate's yelling.

"Sit down. They won't listen to you. We're stuck." Robyn turned to face him, ready to yell at him too, but her anger and rage melted when she looked into his eyes.

"You need to stay strong. That's what he would have wanted." She sat down next to him.

"I didn't say anything about him."

"But you were thinking about him. How you could have saved him, how you blame yourself. I may have a few anger issues, but even I know not to blame myself for things that are completely out of my control." She laid her gloved hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him.

"I may not have gotten along with Clover, mostly because of his boss, but even I want him back. He was a good person."

"I finally open up to someone, grow close to someone, and look what happens. They die, murdered in front of me with my own weapon."

"Did you care about him? I noticed how you two interacted. Did you care about him, as more than a friend?"

Qrow thought for a moment. He had been avoiding thinking about how he felt about Clover, he was barely able to understand his own emotions. Now, he was being asked upfront, to put into words those thoughts and emotions.

"Yeah... I think I do. I haven't been that close to someone in a long time, I don't exactly know what I'm feeling, but I guess you could say that I cared about him."

Robyn nodded, understanding.

"I have a girlfriend, you've met her. She's one of my Happy Huntresses, Fiona Thyme. Not that long ago, she almost died, because of Tyrian. I hate him, and you have every right to hate him more than I do. I couldn't imagine how I would feel, what I would do if she actually died. I wish I could help you more."

Qrow reached into his pocket and pulled out Clover's pin, still covered in blood. He held it in his palm, staring at it.

"I'm so sorry." Robyn whispered. She stood up and went to sit on the other bed in the cell, across from Qrow. She sat and watched him for a moment, then layed down, facing the wall.

"Is she okay?" Qrow asked. Robyn turned to him.

"Is she okay?" Qrow repeated. "Your girlfriend, Fiona, I mean. How is she doing after the attack?"

Robyn smiled softly, thinking of the sheep faunus. "She's a lot better last I saw her. I feel bad that I'm not with her right now, but I'm glad that she or any of the other Happy Huntresses aren't in jail with me."

"Are you going to be okay?" She asked Qrow. Qrow nodded and put the good luck charm back in his pocket. Then he laid on his back, staring up at the ceiling.

"General Ironwood, I have the latest report on Salem's advance towards Atlas." A soldier said. Ironwood was sitting at his desk, his head in his hands. He looked up.

"Bring it here." The soldier set a paper in front of him. It annoyed Ironwood that they were typing up the reports in a time of crisis, but they would need them for future references. The soldier exited the room as Ironwood looked at the sheet of paper.

Salem was moving slowly, barely a crawl. With an army of grimm that big, it made sense. Luckily, this gave Ironwood more time to prepare for the oncoming attack.

Ironwood thought back to Robyn and Qrow, who had been in his office less than an hour ago. Qrow, a person he had considered a friend, had told him that what Ironwood was doing was wrong. But Ironwood had to believe that this was for the greater good. So what if a few people in Mantle suffered, more of them would die, the entire world would die, if Ironwood did not stop Salem.

The general wondered how he would do that. For all he knew, Salem had the key to the vault, allowing her to get to the relic. And Oscar had told him that Salem was immortal. How do you kill an unkillable person? In all of Ironwood's years of running the military of Atlas, this was a question he had no answer to.

Ruby turned to her friends, who were all staring at the giant whale grimm headed towards Atlas.

"What do we do?" She asked. Qrow wasn't here, and neither was Oscar. They were still in Atlas. This made her nervous.

"I don't know...." Blake answered.

"Should we go back?" Nora asked. Ren grabbed on tightly to her hand, clearly afraid.

"Salem's here for the relic." Maria stated matter-of-factly.

"Well they can't get it without Penny. They need the Winter Maiden." Weiss said.

"Speaking of the relic, what is it?" Ruby asked. All eyes turned to Pietro Polendina, the only person who would know about what was in the vault in Atlas.

"The Staff Of Creation. It's what's keeping Atlas in the sky." He answered. "Other than that, we don't know what it does. Some say it can create white grimm, like Weiss's glyphs only stronger. Others say it can bring the dead back to life. All we know is that it is associated with creation and the giving of life."

"Salem won't stop because she doesn't have the Winter Maiden." Ruby said. "And she also has the other relic, the Relic of Knowledge. We need to stop her."

Everyone nodded, agreeing with her.

"Are you sure that's what you want to do? That means flying back to Atlas, and last I checked, you kids aren't welcome there. And there's an entire army of grimm headed in that direction." Maria said.

Ruby looked around at the faces of their friends. They all nodded, Jaune gave a small thumbs up.

"We've come this far. We can't give up now. Turn us around."

A/N: I'm gonna tell you guys a little secret, I almost deleted this entire chapter on accident. I had to rush to stop it from saving a blank version instead of the completed one. It gave me a heart attack. I'm so glad that I didn't have to start over.

Tell me what you guys think? Is there anything you feel like I've forgotten, because I would love to hear your thoughts/opinions/criticism.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you enjoyed it!

(P.S. I'm sorry there isn't more Fair Game/Qrow moments in this chapter. It's all preparation for what lies ahead, I promise.)
