Date: 3rd July, Saturday

Aoi's POV

Coach and I spoke over to the tablet to stop Tenma. Whatever Hissastu tactics he used before injured his ankle. If he does it again, he might actually break his foot. I looked over to the huge red tornado still spinning. My eyes widen as it suddenly cleared up with another blue tornado. I covered my mouth with my hands in horror.

The tornado split apart when it shrunk down and suddenly threw the players to the ground. Then there was Tenma standing in the middle. He was trembling and suddenly he fell to the ground. Silence filled the stadium. The whistle blew shortly afterwards as the match was over. 

"The- THE MATCH IS OVER. OUTEI'S GRID OMEGA FAILED ONCE AGAIN. RAIMON WILL BE PROCEEDING TO THE FINALS!" the commentator stuttered as he announced. Although the crowd was celebrating in our victory, all of the teammates rushed to the teammate who passed out. I grabbed some ice bags and as Shindou and the rest brought him to the bench. We all surrounded him worried. Coach contacted the medical team to prepare for the ambulance.

Coach removed Tenma's right shoe and socks to be surprised to see his foot swelled up in red. He grabbed the ice packs from me and put it on his foot as he tied it with a bandage. He picked up Tenma and carried him out. I followed after him, but before that I went out the locker room and grabbed mine and Tenma's bag.

I met up with Coach by the ambulance and convinced him to take me with him to the hospital. The rest of the team followed us but Coach told everyone to head back home for now. But they all were uncooperative.

"How can we just go home?" Kurama screamed angrily.

"Can't we all come along?" Amagi asked worriedly.

"Because of Tenma we are all able to stand here, so please let us stay by him" Shindou asked as he bowed.

Coach replied to them. "I understand that but too many people coming to the hospital will disturb everyone there."

"We will be quiet then. If they complain about us then we will leave." Sangoku made a deal.

"Let us stay please Coach. Tenma isn't just a teammate but also a great friend." Shinuke cried out.

Coach sighed before he mumbled under his breathe. "It's hard convincing your team Endou." I smiled as the realization that they all are a lot like Coach Endou.

"Fine, Ask Fukurebe to give you a ride to the hospital." He said to the team. All of them smiled and went back to the caravan.

"We can go now nurse." He told the nurse as he closed the doors and went to his seat in the front. The driver drove us away  to the hospital. The caravan was following us from the distance. I heard a phone ring from Tenma's bag and I opened his bag to pick up his call. It was his mom.

I gulped before I took the call. "Hello?"

"Hello, who is this?" She asked.

"I'm Aoi, the manager of Raimon and also a friend of Tenma." I introduced myself to her.

"Is he alright?" She asked worried.

"We are unsure, his foot is swelled up and we are on the way to Inazuma General Hospital." Informed her.

"I'll tell Aki to go there. Take care of him. If he wakes up tell him, his mother is on the way." She told me to inform Tenma.

"I will let him know." I replied to her. She hung the phone up. I looked over to Tenma who still had not woken up.

After arriving the nurses took him away to the emergency room. Only Coach was allowed to go in so I waited outside. The team arrived shortly to the corridor.

"Where's Tenma?" Shindou asked.

"He's in the emergency room. Coach is with him they said to wait for some time." I told them.

"Did he wake up or anything?" Krinino asked.

I shook my head slowly. Haru and the managers came and sat beside me. "It's okay, I'm sure he will be fine." Haru comforted me. My eyes started to water as the tears flowed. I could feel a lump in my throat as I cried. The managers all hugged me to calm down. The rest of the team fell silent and all waited.

Time passed as Aki arrived.

"Aki-san..." I called out softly to her as she came.

"Is he alright?" She asked worriedly.

"We don't know yet" Shindou replied to her.

Just then Coach came out, he put his hand up to signal everyone to pause. He knew we were all about to ask him questions. Aki walked in front of Coach and asked him. "Is Tenma alright?"

"He's fine for now." All of us sighed in relief. "They did a few scans and treated the his foot. Apparently the foot was under a lot of pressure. They gave him a few shots, but he's still unconscious. He will be admitted for a few days to see the progress of the swell." Coach explained to everyone.

"Thank god" Aki said in relief.

"He will be transported to him room a while. Since he's still unconscious visiting is only allowed for family members and guardians." Coach reminded all of us.

"That's sucks." Nishiki said in disappointment. All of the team also frowned in disappointment.

Coach clapped his hands and got all of out attention. "Alright, everyone please head to your home. I don't want any other parent to get worried about their children."

Everyone nodded in silence as they left shortly one after another. I wanted to stay by Tenma's side but I don't think I will be able to. I grabbed Tenma's bag and hand overed it to Aki. I went  away with the managers all together. Since it was late Haru said she will give the three of us a ride home. The guys all walked home anyways.

As I arrived at my house, I entered the house slowly and went inside.

"Aoi! You're back finally. Dinner is almost ready. Why don't you go wash up and come?" My mom said to me.

"I'm not hungry..." I said softly as I went into my room and locked the door. I went over to my bed and grabbed my pillow. I sat down on the floor as I hugged it tightly.

"Tenma, you idiot..." I mumbled as the tears swelled my eyes again. I cried again that night...

Tenma's POV

'Hmm~'

Who's humming?

'Hm hm hmm~'

Why does it sound familiar?

'Hmm~'

It's kind of relaxing...

'Mom your voice is very good'

Who's saying that?

'Aww, my sweet baby. Thank you.'

Who is she?

'Can you hum it to me every night?' 

That's kind of cute...

'Of course, Tenma. I'll do it for you every night.'

Oh that's me...

I opened my eyes to be blind by the white light...

As I adjusted to the light slowly I turned my head in the direction of the noise...

I saw beautiful woman with brown short hair focusing on peeling some apple.

I slowly recognized the woman and called out to her.

"Mom..."

She stopped and looked over to me widening her eyes. She started to smile and put the plate on the stand next to the bedside and hugged me.

"Oh my sweet child. You're finally awake."

She shed her tears a bit. She let go and sat down on the chair and wiped her tears.

"You had us all worried." She said.

"Us?" I questioned,

"NI-san!" I looked over to my right to get jumped by my younger brother. He grabbed my hand tightly and said. "That was very mean don't ever do that again." He was also crying a bit.

Just then all the recent events occurred to my head. I sat up instantly as I left out a deep breathe.

"The Match?! What happened to the match?" I asked the both of them.

Before either of them could answer someone else entered the room. Two people walked in carrying some soda cans. It was Katsuki and Tatsuki. Tastsuki ran in and hugged me immediately. 

"You're alright, Thank god." He smiled in relief.

"You had us all worried you know." Katsuki spoke with a worried expression.

"The match? what about the match did we win?" I asked Katsuki.

"You won but at what cost? The doctor says you won't be able to play in the finals." He informed me.

"WHAT?!" I screamed in shock.

"I know how stubborn you are but I can't let you play in the finals. Even your Coach is saying he won't play you." My mom said to me.

"But it's the finals. I have to go!" I cried out.

"No you don't Tenma!" Katsuki screamed. "You're going to stay here and wait till your foot heals. The moment you walk out of this room, you know what happens." He looked me dead in the eyes glaring. "You don't want it to that to happened right?"

I sighed as I nodded.

"Alright. Now what's your girlfriend's number?" Katsuki asked me leaving me baffled.

"HUh? I don't have a girlfriend." I replied to him.

"He's talking about Aoi-chan. Aki said She was very worried about you." Tatsuki cleared up.

"Also you're teammates as well all of them dropped by at the hospital apparently." Katsuki added.

"How did you get here mom?" I asked her, since she was here back in town.

"I took a plane, we were watching your semi finals in the town but saw that you got injured. So i came as fast and as I could." She told me softly patting my head.

"What about Dad?" I asked her.

"He's watching the Inn." She replied.

"I'd like to stay but I got to go back to my disciplinary committee." Katsuki excused himself. Tatsuki followed after him since he was heading home.

I laid down on the bed and pulled the blankets on. I crossed my armed behind my head as I laid. My mom continued to slice the apple and pass one over to me, I ate one happily but got depressed since I won't be able to play in the finals.

'I guess this was worth it. This is what I should had expected anyway.'
