Date: 7th June, Monday

Endou's POV

Today was the day i was going to inform the team about my leave. I had already informed my collegues last week.

Last week

"What is it that you wanted to tell all of a sudden?" Kazemaru asked.

"Oh, should I leave?" Hikaru asked as he pointed himself towards the door. "Oh no, Actually I need you to be the one who should hear this as well." I said.

"What is it?" He asked.

"I'm wanted tell you all that I will be taking a leave." I told them.

"What? Why?" They asked.

"Natsumi is a week away from her due date so I wanted to take a leave and help her around the house and also arrange the baby's room." I explained to them

"Oh my god, wow. It's already been 9 months." Haruna said cheerfully.

"Damn, its like only yesterday you told us that she was pregnant." Kazemaru added.

"You all know about it?" Hikaru asked them.

"Yeah, I sort of told everyone before. So since I will be on leave I don't think I wanna leave Kazemaru for the first team to be watched over. I want you to watch over them, Hikaru." I told Hikaru.

"Me?!" He blurted out.

"Yeah, you will do great plus you have already become familiar with the team." I trusted him as I put a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah, but for a week." He said.

"Hikaru, you will do great. And there's no need to worry, Haruna and Kazemaru will also be here to help you out when in doubt." I pointed towards them. "Also I will return for the finals, that is if you take them to the finals." I said to him giving a thumbs up.

"I will try I guess" Hikaru sighed and gave in.

"Thanks Hikaru." I said as I bowed to him.

Present

I sent a message to the team for an early morning meeting immediately as I wanted to inform the team about the news. I was waiting in front the meeting room doing a head count as everyone came along. As soon as Haruka and Hikaru arrived, we entered together and I started the meeting.

"Now I know some of you are very tired having to skip some nap times before class starts." I said since I noticed a lot of them were sleepy.

"Who the heck naps before class starts?" Kurama asked. Hamano, who was sitting next to him snored quite loud for him to realize that there are people who actually nap before class. He nudged Hamano's hand out of his face to make his head fall onto the desk to wake him up. "I'M WAKE" He blurted out awake.

Some of them burst into laughter for a bit in surprise. After the laughter passed I got their attention to tell them the news.

"Now I know that we are currently in 1/8 teams in the nationals. But unfortunately I cannot be there to guide you guys for the next 3 weeks." I told them.

"WHAT??!!" All of them blurted. They all continued to ask questions simultaneously.

"Everyone calm down, I'm telling the reason give me chance." I said loudly as I try to calm them all down. Shindou raised his arm so I allowed him to speak.

"Why are you leaving?" He asked.

"The thing is my wife will be giving birth soon." A moment of silence passed. "I made a promise with her that I will be by her side. So I would like to spend some times with her before my child is born. In fact we have some things we have wanted to do for a while but kept getting delayed since I've been training you all." I explained to them.

A moment passed in silence with no one speaking a word.

"Coach?" Tenma broke the silence. "Yes?" I replied.

"You're married?" He asked. "Yes!" I replied enthusiastically. 

"It's not a soccer ball right?" He asked. Haruna and Hikaru laughed for a second but held it in.

"What kind of person do you think I am?" I replied to him as I sweat dropped.

"Wait, who is your wife?" Sorano asked raising her arm. "Yeah who is this lucky woman you married?" Seto added.

"It is actually the Chairman's daughter. Raimon Natsumi. Although now she goes by Endou Natsumi." I answered to them.

"Aww My God." The manager all said in unison.

"I've been wanting to inform you all about this for some quite time but I didn't know how to tell you all." I said as I scratched my cheek.

"That's amazing Coach. You're going to be a dad in a few days." Kirino complimented.

"I know I'm so excited. Anyway to make sure you all will win the upcoming games, I have assigned Ichihoshi Hikaru to be your coach in the mean time." I informed them. I had already discussed with him beforehand.

"I'll do my best Endou-san." He replied to me.

"With That being said, the meeting is over you may all head back to your classes." I announced.

After the team left to their classes, Haruka and Hikaru stayed to talk to me.

"If you feel like you need some advice you can contact me any time." I told them.

"I will." Hikaru replied.

"But not after 9pm because that's when I will be sleeping." I added.

"Seems weird to be sleeping at after 9pm as an adult but alright." Hikaru said.

"Our next opponenet is Kidokawa Seishuu. From What I have heard someone dropped by to help them train." I told them informed about what i digged up recently.

"Gouenji dropped by and trained them?" Haruna guessed.

"Yeah, so good luck." I said to him before I was about the leave the room. "Oh yeah, one more thing. There's a student returning from overseas. Nishiki Ryouma. He was participating in the Italian Pro League. He came back 2 days and mentioned he will return to school today. But I wasn't able to contact him yet so he must be running late." I told them.

"He's back already? Time sure fly fast." Haruna said remembering when he left. It was last year in fall.

"I guess it's a good thing he came back at the beginning of the week. I will be able to make a training menu for him as soon as possible." Hikaru said.

"I will see you next month. Bye." I said my goodbyes and left the club. I went by to the principle's office to tell him about the soccer club having Hikaru as the new Coach of first team. After a small conversation with him I headed back home.

"I'm home!" I said as I entered the house. "Oh, welcome back." Natsumi greeted me from the sofa. "So, how did the students take it?"

"Pretty well I guess. Plus they can't really stop someone who is about to become a dad can they?" I said chuckling.

"I thought they might convince you to stop though" She said with a grin.

"Don't think too lightly of me now I have changed." I said to her in a serious tone.

"I know. So how nervous are you about becoming a father?" She asked. 

"Not really, plus it's a boy so I can't wait to meet him." I said excitedly as I sat next to her.

"I guess the baby being a boy is good enough for you." She said as I put my arm around her head.

"Of course, but a girl would also be fine you know." I said with a grin.

"Yeah right, you will try to make her like soccer." She added. Which was a bit true.

"It's fun, I'm sure they'd enjoy it." I said.

"I hope he comes soon." She said as she rubbed her tummy.

"Yeah, Haru we are waiting for you." I said as I grabbed over her hand.

A/N

One of my co workers called in sick so I had to go assist the doctor. There was so many patients as well so no break was taken and I was not able to finish this until I was on the bus on the way home.

I really thought it would take me an hour to finish but no I finished it in 30 minutes.

Also I forgot to edit the Matsukaze POV page about the updates, I will update them tomorrow to surprise you all.
