Taron Cassidy was the guy that everyone wanted to be. He was hot, smart and his parents were loaded.

Unfortunately for me, he didn't know that I existed. Or so I thought.

"Endelson!" he shouted behind me as I walked towards the bus.

What the fuck? Was there another kid with my last name in this school?

"Hey, dude!" he said casually, holding the straps of his backpack with those hands that I wanted all over me.

I was so shocked that I couldn't come up with anything to say. He took it as a cue to continue.

"Taylor, Jacob and I are going to spend the weekend in my uncle's cabin in the woods. Would you like to join us?" He seemed perfectly serious.

I was still gaping like a fish out of water.

"Give me your phone, so I can save my number. Text me when you decide."

I did as he instructed without question, not quite sure what I was doing.

I had to sit in the back of Taron's Corvette with Taylor whilst Jacob sat in the front. We had been driving through woods for the last four hours.

"This is my favorite part of the trip!" Taron suddenly announced. "This is where my baby really gets to drive!"

Taron put the pedal to the metal and we almost lifted off the ground! Everyone was hooting in excitement and I tried to play along. I was terrified of the speed and held on to my seat for dear life.

The moment Taron slowed down for the turn up towards their property, Jacob suddenly screamed and started to freak out.

He stabbed his finger at the window and repeated, "What the fuck was that!?"

Taron stopped the car but Jacob had already started laughing. Taylor punched his arm hard and said, "Not funny, asshole!"

I was roasting marshmellows when Taron handed me a flask. I took a sip and pulled a face before passing it on.

The guys had been talking about girls. Jacob was apparently the only one that had any real experience, though I figured it was hugely exaggerated.

Taylor turned to me and said, "I hear that Lily Acker has the hots for you."

"I didn't know," I said, my gaze turning to Taron instinctively. He gave me an odd look in return.

"That's all you are going to say?" Jacob asked. "Aren't you ready to climb all over that?"

"Who wants to go for a walk in the woods?" Taron suddenly asked. Was he doing it to shut them up? Why?

"Fuck yes!" Taylor yelled. We were completely alone out here but he wanted to go outside of the gate surrounding the cabin?

The flashlights cast long shadows through the trees. We had walked for forty five minutes and I could see the light of the cabin in the distance.

Suddenly my light caught a flash of movement behind a tree. A tingle shot through my spine and I yelled, "Guys, thats not funny!"

I had to admit that I was pretty freaked when all three of them emerged from the other direction. My imagination was surely fucking with me.

I almost jumped out of my skin. Taron was standing in a corner of my room, staring at me. He wore only his boxers, which gave me a jolt despite the weirdness of the situation.

"Hey! What are you doing here?" I asked in a whisper. He didn't answer. Then a clicking sound came from him that didn't sound human.

I scrambled out of the bed and fled, frantically locking the door behind me.

I ran to Taylor's room and to my horror found what was left of him lying like a sucked out husk on the floor.

I found the same in Jacob's room! Fuck, fuck, fuck. I frantically searched for the car keys, as the banging against the inside of my door continued.

I reached the part of the road where Taron had accelerated beyond my comfort zone.

Ironically, I felt like doing the same. What the fuck was that thing? Was Taron some kind of creature or could it camouflage?

Out of nowhere, something slammed into the windshield. I could no longer control the car and....
