Chapter 2: the new voices
Elsa was standing on top of her balcony overlooking the sea in front of her. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear Kai come up behind her.
"Your Majesty," he said, startling Elsa. "they're ready."
Elsa chuckled nervously, her hands stuck through her ice.
"Excuse me," she says, getting her hands out of the ice. "I'm coming"
Ah-ah ah-ah
Elsa quickly turns around, confused by the sudden voice.
"Do you hear that?" she asked Kai.
Kai looks at her confused. "Uh, what?"
Elsa, thinking it's just the wind, brushes it off.
"Never mind," she says as they both go inside.

Julie was relaxing, enjoying the warm breeze against her skin. It's been a while since she felt something like this, so she was happy to just take it in.
Julia
"Hmm?" Julie sat up, looking around for the noise.
She clutched her necklace. Once the trolls found out what she did to Hans a year ago, they gave her a skull-like necklace to keep his soul in. For a moment she thought that Hans' soul was speaking to her.
Julia
After hearing the second one, she realized that it was a woman's voice. She couldn't decipher who it was, but she felt like it was someone familiar, like someone she had seen before.
She was knocked out of her thoughts when she felt someone plant a kiss on her neck.
She turned around to see her boyfriend, Odonis, looking at her, smiling.
"Hello, My princess," he said as he went to sit down next to her.
"Hello, My prince," she said back sarcastically.
Odonis smirked. "So? What were you so lost in thought about before I came?"
Julie frowned. She was told to always be honest, especially when it comes to family, but this was something not even she was entirely sure about.
She took a deep breath and decided to tell him.
"Well," she said. "I heard a voice, At first I thought it was Hans trying to play tricks on me, but then I realized that it was a woman's voice."
"You hear a woman's voice in your head?" Odonis asked.
Julie nodded. "I'm not sure who it could be. I don't recognize her voice at all."
Odonis hummed in confusion.
"Well," he said, pulling Julie closer to him. "Let's just take your mind off of that for a while okay? We don't have to worry about it if it's not a threat."
Julie sighed before nodding. "You're right. Thanks."
Odonis nodded, smiling before pulling her into a kiss.
"I love you, my dear."
Julie smiled as she cuddled against his chest.
"I love you too, Darling."
—-----------------------------------------
Anna was walking through a pumpkin patch as the wind blew past her, making her shiver slightly. She happily gasps as she notices Olaf on a picnic blanket. She smiles as she walks towards him.
"Enjoying your new permafrost, Olaf?" she asks as she sits down beside him.
"I'm living the dream, Anna! Oh, how I wish it could last forever!" Olaf says happily while Anna hums in agreement. He then quickly grabs a falling leaf. "And yet change mocks us with her beauty."
Anna turned to him confused. "What's that?"
"Forgive me, maturity is making me poetic," he says before sighing. "Tell me, you're older and thus all-knowing. Do you ever worry about the notion that nothing is permanent?"
"Um," Anna thinks. "No."
"Really? Wow, I can't wait till I'm ancient like you so I don't have to worry about important things." Olaf said, laying back down on the blanket.
Anna laid back down with him.
"That's not what I mean," she says. "I don't worry because, well, I have you, and Elsa, and Julie, and Odonis, and Kristoff and Sven, and the gates are open wide, and I'm not alone anymore."

Yes the wind blows a little bit colder, and we're all getting older
And the clouds are moving on with every autumn breeze
Anna lifts her hands up as the clouds move with the wind.
Peter pumpkin just became fertilizer
Anna shows Olaf a pumpkin patch where the scarecrow is lying flat on his face.
And my leaf's a little sadder and wiser
Olaf looks at his leaf, which is now drooping.
That's why I rely on certain certainties
Anna wiggles Olaf's nose a little as she gets up.
Some things never change, like the feel of your hand in mine
Anna and Olaf walk through a stall being put up, Anna holding Olaf up to get through. They both smile at each other as they walk through town.
Some things stay the same, like how we get along just fine
Anna and Olaf walk to a guy painting a tree and see another guy chopping the tree down. The first guy angrily yells at the second guy while Anna and Olaf awkwardly walk away.
Like an old stone wall that'll never fall, some things are always true
Some things never change, like how I'm holding on tight to you
Anna and Olaf walk beside an old wall with Olaf on top of it when he falls and lands on a handcar. Anna runs after him and uses one of the turn handles to make him stop, and when he does, he goes flying and lands in Anna's arms. They smile as they hug each other.

The leaves are already falling, Sven, it feels like the future is calling
Kristoff and Sven walk through town. Kristoff waves his hand as he watches the leaves fall.
Are you telling me tonight you're gonna get down on one knee?
Kristoff gets down on one knee, pretending to propose to Sven. the spectators watching cover their eyes while Sven shakes his head furiously.
Yeah, but I'm really bad at planning these things out, like candlelight and pulling of rings out
Maybe you should leave all the romantic stuff to me?
Kristoff pulls out his ring for Anna, which slips out of his hands. Fortunately, Sven catches it with his teeth and hands it back to Kristoff.
Some things never change, like the love that I feel for her
Kristoff and Sven stop at Oaken's sauna, where they get Kristoff freshened up.
Some things stay the same, like how Reindeers are easier
Kristoff and Sven then stop by a clothing wear store, where Sven shows off how he looks in the reflection in the dress.
But if I commit and I go for it I'll know what to say and do, right?
Some things never change, Sven, the pressure is all on you.
Kristoff buys a bow tie with a carrot design on it, and as he looks off, he spots Olaf and Anna in the distance.
.
.
.
Elsa walks to the balcony overlooking the town, whilst, Julie is still sitting at the bench, both still uncertain of the voices that are calling them.
The winds are restless, could that be why I'm hearing this call?
Elsa fidgets with her hands, walking closer to the railing.
Is something coming? I'm not sure I want things to change at all
Julie looks into the distance nervously, unsure of what to do.
These days are precious, can't let them slip away
Elsa looks at the town and spots Anna, Sven, Kristoff, Odonis, and Olaf in the distance.
I can't freeze this moment, but I can still go out and seize this day.
Elsa runs out from the balcony into the town while Julie quickly gets up from the bench and runs to town as well.
.
.
.
The townspeople start to put up flags, Anna tries to do the same but picks up a clothing line instead.
Then some men are throwing fish to one another. A man passes it to Olaf who throws it back into the water and waves it goodbye
Anna and Julie look happily as they both run to Elsa, with her doing the same as they intertwine their hands together. The townspeople see this and watch with warm faces.
.
.
.
The wind blows a little bit colder
And you all look a little bit older
Kristoff, Sven, and two of the townspeople lift the table for the event. Olaf tries to help but just hangs on. He then jumps off and acknowledges the audience watching/the town's children, using his hands to signify how much they've grown.
It's time to count our blessings beneath an autumn sky
Anna and Kristoff were helping set the tablecloth, Oaken then comes in and places a giant pumpkin in between them.
We're always living in a kingdom of plenty, it stands for the good of the many
The sisters run to the flag pole. Anna dragging Elsa as Julie runs closely behind.
And I promise you the flag of Arendelle will always fly
Elsa then shot her magic up to the sky, creating fireworks. Anna has holding Elsa's hand while hugging Julie tightly with her other one.
Our flag will always fly
Our flag will always, our flag will always fly
The townspeople cheer, ready to celebrate with the three sisters.
Some things never change, turn around and the time has flown
A few people pass a bowl of carrots around. Olaf catches the bowl and uses the last one for his new nose and gives his old one to Sven, who was close by.
Somethings stay the same, though the future remains unknown
Elsa was now with the town's children, making things for then with her magic. Then a girl comes to her ans asks for a sextant. Elsa, confused, makes it for her and she immediately uses it.
May the good luck last, may our past be past
The people then form a dance circle with people laughing and tripping over their feet.
Times moving fast, it's true.
The night finally comes to the end as the group gathers to go inside the castle.
Somethings never change
And I'm holding on tight to you
Holding on tight to you
The three sisters pull together for a big hug before Elsa and Julie make their way inside.
Holding on tight to you
Olaf, Sven and Odonis pass Anna as they walk pass, Olaf reaches for Anna's hand and she gently grabs it as she smiles.
Holding on tight to you
Kristoff twirls Anna around as he pass by.
I'm holding on tight to you
.
.
.
The group is now playing charades. It's Anna's turn and everyone's having a hard time guessing what she is.
"Um...okay...lion?" Kristoff asks.
"Grizzly bear!" Olaf asks
"Uh, Monster!" Kristoff yells.
"Mama bear!" Olaf yells right after.
"Shut up!" Julie yells, trying to focus, but Kristoff and Olaf didn't listen.
"Angry face?" Kristoff yells.
"Papa bear?" Olaf yells.
"Stop saying bear, Olaf!" she tells him. "And shut up you two, I'm trying to focus!"
And again, the both don't listen.
"Scarecrow?" Odonis asks.
Julie hits him in the chest.
"What. did. I. Just. Say?" she yells at her boyfriend.
Odonis doesn't listen this time and just continue guessing.
"Ugh!!" Julie yells, covering her face with her pillow.
"Um..." Kristoff mutters.
"Hans?" Olaf asks.
Anna motions her hand, telling him he's on the right track.
"Unredeemable monster?" Elsa points out.
"Greatest mistake of your life?" Kristoff adds.
"Wouldn't even kiss you!" Olaf says.
"Glad I killed him to be honest," Julie laughs.
"wait...Villa-"
The bell rings just as Julie was about to answer.
"Ugh!!" She groans.
"You almost had it, Julie! It was a Villain," Anna says.
"Oh!" Kristoff, Elsa, Olaf, and Odonis say in unison.
"We all kinda got that one," Olaf says.
Odonis chuckles.
"Alright Olaf, it's your turn." Kristoff mentions.
Olaf gets down from his spot and go to the front of the room.
"So much easier now that I can read." he says before tossing his note aside. "Okay lightning round, boys against girls!"
The boys and girls look at each other competitively before looking back at Olaf.
"Okay, we're ready!" Odonis says as him and Kristoff look at each other, smiling.
Then Olaf start shifting.
The girls try to answer, but the boys get there first.
"Unicorn!" Odonis yells. Olaf then starts shifting again.
"Ice cream!" Kristoff yells.
"Castle!"
"Oaken!"
"Teapot!"
"Mouse!"
"Ooh, Elsa!" both boys say as the timer ends.
They both high five each other, laughing.
Anna and Julie turn to their boyfriends angrily.
"No fair!" Julie says.
"I don't think Olaf gets to rearrange." Anna adds, but they then turn their attention back to Elsa, who gets up for her turn. "doesn't matter. This is gonna be a cinch."
"Three sisters, one mind," Julie finishes.
Elsa gently puts her note on the ground, ready to start.
(I decided to change her word to skates instead of ice. I don't know, I just like it better.)
Elsa points at her shoes before making a motion with her body to make it look like she was skating.
"Um...shoe...movement...running?" Anna asks
Elsa shake her head.
"Um, okay. Shoes equals something on your feet right? So maybe running in boots?" Julie wonders.
Anna points her finger towards Julie. "That is a good point, though it's not boots! Maybe sliding in boots?"
Elsa points at her. She's on the right track.
"Oh, okay, um...okay you're not sliding in boots, so um..." Anna trails off as she thinks.
"Maybe socks?" Julie asks.
"Sliding in socks? That sounds like something, but I don't think it's it!" Anna says.
As Anna and Julie ramble to each other, Elsa hears the voice again.
Ah-ah ah-ah
Elsa quickly turns around, looking for the voice.
Anna noticed that she turned around.
"Oh! She changed her expression so it's not sliding? Or is it disturbed? Annoyed?" Anna rambles.
Julie looks at Elsa with concern, and then she hears her voice as well.
Julia
Julie looks up, surprised. She clutches her necklace protectively.
Anna though, continues to ramble.
"Oh, come on, you're definitely disturbed!" she says just as the bell rings.
"We won!" Kristoff says as he and Odonis share a high five.
Anna walks up to Elsa, and Julie does the same, concerned.
"Rematch?" Anna asks.
"Oh," Elsa shakes her head. "You know what? I think Imma turn in."
Anna and Julie look at their sister concerned.
"You okay?" Anna asks.
Elsa nods. "Yeah, just..just tired. Goodnight."
Elsa closes her door behind herself, leaving the rest of the group alone.
Olaf yawns. "Yeah I'm tired too. Sven promised to read me a bedtime story."
"Did I?" Kristoff says as Sven.
"Oh, you do the best voices. Like how you pretend your Kristoff and you're like "I like to go talk to some rocks about my childhood and stuff" Olaf says as him and Sven leaves.
Odonis gets up and walks beside Julie. "Yeah, I'm going too. Shadow and I have a chess match and I need to beat his streak! Wanna come watch us, babe?"
Julie look at him before looking at Elsa's room door. "I'm going to check on Elsa, y-you can just go on without me."
Odonis was disappointed, but nodded nonetheless and went up to him and Julie's room.
.
.
.
Julie knocked on Elsa's door, hoping to find her awake.
"Come in." Elsa says.
Julie open the door to find Elsa wrapped in their mothers scarf.
"What happened back there, Els? You look completely zoned out," Julie asks.
Elsa sighs. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
Julie scoffed. "I believe you when you first told me about your magic and stayed beside you ever since. There's nothing that you won't tell me that I won't believe."
Elsa smiled, and then took a deep breath. "I think I've been hearing this voice. It started this morning and it's been happening ever since."
She had her head down, and when she looked back at her sister, she was surprised to see here eyes open wide, like she was surprised.
Julie relaxed from her form and took in a sharp breath.
"You're hearing a voice too?" she asked.
Now it was Elsa's turn to look wide-eyed at her sister. "What do you mean too?"
"I've been hearing this voice all morning as well. It was saying my name," Julie explains. "I told Odonis, but he told me that there's nothing to worry about since it's not a threat, but it feels so..."
"Familiar?" Elsa asked.
Julie nodded. "That's the word! Familiar!"
They stayed in silence for a moment before they heard a rhythmic knock on Elsa's door.
"Come in!" she said.
Anna opened the door. "Yep! Somethings wrong."
Elsa looked at her sister concerned, sharing a look with Julie.
"With you?" Elsa asked.
"No, with you. You're wearing mother's scarf. You do that when something wrong," she says. She then gasps. "Did we hurt your feelings? I am so sorry if we did. You know, a few people are actually good at Family games, that's just a fact."
Elsa smiles, "no, that's not it."
She then sits on her bed, leaving Anna more concerned.
"Then what is it?" she asks.
Elsa looks at Julie, and sighs. "There's this...I just don't wanna mess things up."
Julie sigh as she and Anna sit with Elsa.
"What things? You're doing great! Oh, Els, when are you going to see yourself the way we see you?" Anna says.
Elsa smiles at her sisters. "What will I do without you two?"
Julie shoulders Anna before smiling.
"You'll always have us," they say in unison.
"Whether you like it or not, Els," Julie adds.
The girls start chuckling at Julie's comment. That's when Anna gets a great Idea.
"I know what you need," Anna says, moving to the end of the bed. "Come on, come here both of you."
"What?" Elsa says with a chuckle.
Elsa and Julie move towards Anna and snuggle under her.
"In Mama's words. Cuddle close. Scooch in." Anna says.
Elsa gets tucks herself under Anna's arm with Julie behind her.
"Wait!" Anna says as she moves herself further onto the bed to let Julie get on her other side. "Now, come on, Juls!"
Julie laughs as she moves to Anna's right and lays herself on her chest.
Where the northwind meets the sea, there's a river full of memory
"I know what you're doing," Elsa says as Julie and Anna chuckles.
Sleep my darling safe and sound, for in this river all is found
Julie falls asleep first, comforting herself on Anna's shoulder. After her was Elsa and Anna yawned before putting her arm around Julie and laying her head on Elsa's, falling fast asleep.
