" leave the mortals out of this, Soren and Marie " I hissed at them and the mortals behind me knew that blood would be shed

I woke up in pain, I looked around with gritted teeth and saw Zonic asleep against the wall of the place we were

Silver was also asleep, but Shadow was still awake, I could tell because my emerald eyes glowed as he stared at me

I sat up and held back a cry of pain

" you shouldn't move " Shadow stated as he moved towards me, something was different

" What happened exactly?" I asked through gritted teeth

" it doesn't matter " " it does!" " just lay back down " " not until you answer me!"

" Sonic!" My brother glared at me before sighing

" rest please, we'll talk about this tomorrow, ok?" He said, I sighed and nodded, laying back down, everything still hurt as I fell back to sleep

{Scourge's Pov}

I was covered in deep red blood as I stalked my prey, I don't hold back in a fight, the vampires have the emerald and the witch is nothing more than a pile of meat for the feral animals

I told the mortals to run, and I'd catch up later, I had followed the vampire into the thick forest, I know this place like the back of my hand, probably because me and Zonic had to train here

I spotted movement besides me, I jumped as a vampire tried to knock me over, I went behind them and snapped their neck and then pulled out their undead heart from their chest

I chuckled as I then continued to run after the others, I reached a clearing and stopped in the centre, they had me surrounded and I just smirked

" so you are the demon in the family, as I correct?" Soren asked with deadly calm as he tossed the emerald in the air and caught it

" oh I just have more demon than god, but it doesn't mean anything, I consider myself mortal actually, you know why? Because I have a soul " I hissed at him

He clicked his fingers and threw of his lackeys lunged at me, I tore one of their throats open and broke another's leg, the last one that was standing began to circle me

I followed his movements, hey! I'm a wrestler except this is to the death! Yay lucky me, not

I saw the vampire in front of me grin and I smirked back as I did a backflip, just as another two vampires attacked me from behind

" I'm a step ahead of you " I chuckled as I decapitated one, I cut open the closet one's stomach and their guts spilled onto the ground

And the last one I bit on the neck, and I enjoyed the taste of his blood, when I let go he fell to the ground life less

The vampire with the broken leg backed away from me as I walked towards him and slit his throat and I turned to Soren

" hand over the emerald and I'll let the rest of your coven including you walk out of here alive " I hissed at him, I could smell the fear on them

" that isn't an option " he answered he clicked his fingers again but none of the vampires attacked and I smirked

" your al just a bunch of wusses " I laughed as I walked towards Soren, he couldn't walk away because I was using my powers to hold him still

When I was just inches away from him I snatched the emerald out of his hands, and ripped off one of his arms and used it to rip out his heart

I turned around to find the rest of the vampires gone, I smirked and looked at the cyan emerald in my hands

" Chaos control " I shouted, the secrets of the emeralds have been passed down in my family for generations

I appeared in front of the mortals covered in blood and the stench of death clinging to me, I smirked at them

" hi " was all I said before I started walking back to my brother's house
