FUTURISTIC TECHNOLOGY

These are a few elements of the future Earth that may be important to the storyline.

Hover Vehicles

Using hover technology is rather popular in the futuristic world. Here are a few examples.

Hover Cars

Hover Cars are sleek and elegant vehicles- most of them anyways- programmed by an exceedingly clever bot engraved into the codes of the vehicle. Of course, the older models are less smart and more complicated to control. For example, instead of just simply commanding the vehicle to take you somewhere, you have to pull up a map on the hologram then mark your destination.

Common Models

Common Models tend to look on the more modern side, with wheels that fold in and a retractable roof. Small booster jets are located in the back of the car, and metal sensors are placed on the underside. See, in the future world, the roads are lined with metals that propel your car upwards. This is what created the hover vehicles in the first place.

Expensive Models

The exorbitant models hold a certain cunning elegance that no other lower priced vehicle can ever replicate. The most smooth and sleek of the other models, they come with four holograms programmed into each door. Obviously the most intelligent of the crew, they are the best to buy if you'd like to avoid horrible accidents. The wheels retract fluently into the underside of the car, and the propelling jets used for faster travel offers you rapid speed.

Old Models

The old models are for those who simply can't afford any higher. With no wheels, they offer only flying as a choice of transportation. The propelling jets are worse and jut unproportionately from the backside of the car. There are even older models that barely hover over the ground, and have only two seats. No hologram. You drive the car yourself. Scary, I know!

Hover Buses

All hover Buses look similar. The only difference is the brand name on the side, or the color. Really, these are rarely used. Only to transfer kids from their homes to school.

Hoverboards

Ah, yes. Hoverboards come in all shapes and sizes. Though, the most popular are the Wide-Spread, giving you more room to position your feet the most comfortable way. To work a hoverboard, it must have it's metal sensors- almost all have them, unless you have to insert them yourself- and you have to have your sticky grips. Sticky grips are thin self stick gel strips that you lay across the bottom of your shoes or feet. They come off easily and are used so that you don't fall off. Of course, if that happens, there are thick bands wrapped around your biceps that will know if you fall off. Therefore, the hoverboard will fly you up before you hit the ground.

Hologram Tech

Holograms are small chips that you can carry around anywhere. They're like portable TV'S. It's what most people use now instead of smart phones and such, besides telo's of course.

Insane, right? As I was saying, these holograms are held in tech chips that range in size and quality. You can play video games or watch your favorite shows depending on what kind you have. Usually, the bigger are the better. They hold much more data and space for you to get the applications you want applied.

Oh, these hologram chips are also inserted in cars so you have something to entertain you on a road trip or such. Obviously, the older models don't have them, but the common tend to have one or two while the expensive hold sometimes up to five. They are usually connected to the doors or ceiling.

Sometimes coming in the form of a ring or bracelet, they will look something like this,

Telo

A combination of a broken hologram and old version of a smartphone. Not an efficient method of getting a hologram, seeing as the quality is horrendous, but it's what you do if you can't afford anything else. Also, a strange rust like material spreads, caused by the chemical reaction of the hologram and old model of a smartphone meeting. You have to clean it daily, or else it will break entirely.

Bots

Bots is of course short for robots, and in this category there are too many brands- or shall I say species- to list. The most common are these.

VigiBot 5.0

Usually used as alarms at home to alert the person of their schedule or where they put things, if they forget. Sometimes if the person is lonely, they will talk to them. Some Normals even view them as friends. Weird is the right word. There are older versions of this type of bot. This is the newest and most used of the generation.

SpyBot 3.0

These bots are mostly used in the army or by pranksters, to, you guessed it! Spy. They gather information on their target and report back to their programmed owner. Their abilities consist of flying, using camouflage, and excellent sneaking techniques. Who knows what the next model will look like?

There are many different versions of this bot, though they are usually called Server Bots. There whole point is to serve and do things for their master. Mostly used in Hotels, but you could find them at the marker or stores. They work as advisors and guide you if you are lost and on the streets as well. A claw like arm is retractable through the upperback, and they have natural attack defenses. As soon as they are harmed, they contact emergencies. Same goes if their master is harmed.

There are, of course, the androids. The robot humans. It's insulting to put them in the Bot category, really. They'd take it offensively. They are usually undermined and kept as maids. Sometimes even slaves, without the goverment knowing. They're most human like, each with its own diverse personality, designed to be like a human. Most wouldn't be able to tell they were androids were it not for some of the robot parts peeking out.

Not much to say about these guys. They're the soldier bots, often used as guards around the city. They have high attack and defense mechanisms. It's programmed in their machinery to be a cold blooded killer who enforces the law. If you aren't afraid of them, you're crazy. They are made of high quality metal and are hard to beat. Getting into a fight with one of these guys is a death wish.

Currency and Lifestyle

First, let's talk about the currency. Though trade is more favored, people still use certain money and Tech Coins, of course. Who doesn't use Tech Coins?

Tech Coins are a form of digital money. They are displayed by a certain coin design. The design looks like a circle, just a plain circle. The whole circle is white, with curls of black on the side, which come together to create a heart. A symbolism of peace, that dark and light can live together in peace.

Why the design is this? The goverment never revealed anything but that it was a sign of peace and tranquility. There are many theories, but that's for you to find out. . .

As for the lifestyle of the Normals, it's almost. . . Well, normal. Simple. The cities are very diverse, most holding a similar taste in style, but are different sizes and fashion. Of course, here are a few examples of what the city might look like,

Holograms are placed around the city, though those are much more advanced and protected. Not everyone can just go up and take the chip then run away. No, it doesn't work like that. As mentioned before, metal lines under the city, so hover vehicles can go just about anywhere you want.

There is a market area in the center of the city of which your character will have lived, and that is where most trade happens. Usually you can trade anything for something equally right in price, or Tech Coins. That is where most people go to sell and work, unless you're from a wealthy family of business Normals, or something along the lines.
