I was looking, emotionless, at the scene in front of me. There had been a lot of things happening in the last 100 years. And I would know. I lived through it. Now, you may be thinking of me as this old wrinkly 100 year old. But that is not true. I have the body of a 16 year old but the mind of a 100 year old. Now, back to the matter at hand. In front of me, there were people running into their houses, there were little yippy dogs running for their little lives, and locals trying to get away from the disaster. I was the lone island in a sea of people. You see, I can't get hurt either. That would kind of mess up the whole live forever thing. I started towards the tornado. I might as well get this over with. It was bigger this time. Last time it was only about 100 miles in circumference. This time though it is at least 200. No one seemed to care that I was walking right up to the tornado. I stopped right in front of the tornado and then held on tight to a large concrete pole, that was conveniently right where I needed it to be. This tornado was at least a F9. I went into the tornado, stopped it, then slipped into the shadows. These strange weather events have been happening for a while now. We keep telling people to help stop global warming but they don't listen. If you are wondering who "we" are, we are a secret organization of people who are different. We call ourselves the Specials. For example, there is Cassie, she has superhuman strength; there is Andrea, she can read and play with minds; there is me, the immortal one; and there are the many more. We have been trying to protect humans from what they created for the last 50 years. I have been with them since the start but Cassie and Andrea are new recruits. I started towards the next place that I was needed. Than I heard a big crash. It was coming from the Eiffel Tower. It started tipping over, gaining speed as it went. Than with a big bang, it was down. Eh, nothing I can do about it now. Luckily all of the people were in their houses and it fell in the opposite direction so no one was hurt. I turned around and started walking to the place where the helicopter had landed. When I got there, I saw that a girl with water powers, Isabella, was in it too. I got in and silently nodded to her to tell her that there were no casualties. We started heading towards Brazil where there supposedly was a big fire. It was in the Amazon Rainforest so it was spreading quickly. It didn't help that the air was very dry because of climate change. We were soon coughing because of the smoke. Once we were above a clearing in the fire, they lowered the ropes and we climbed down. This is going to be harder that I thought. We started putting out the fire. It took 10 days to put out the fire. More people eventually came to help but by the time we were done, we were covered in filth. We went back to base to get cleaned up. As we were going over the ocean, I looked out the window. The sea level rose about 4 feet over the last 100 years. If humans would just care for their world, this wouldn't have happened. Once we arrived at base, I greeted everyone then went to take a shower. After my shower, while I was doing my hair I might add, the alarm went off. I ran out, grabbing the jacket I always wore along the way, and got into the tech room. I looked at the screen and it said there was another severe storm, a cyclone to be exact, going towards the coast of Canada. I suited up and ran outside. Our base was right where the cyclone was headed. I gathered up a bunch of Specials and went outside so we could stop the storm. We worked on stopping the storm and when we were done we were all exhausted. I went inside to go to sleep. While I was trying to go to sleep, I thought about how much the world has changed. There were many more severe storms, the ocean level rose, it got warmer, and some of the ice at the poles had melted. The Specials won't be able to protect the world forever...
