"Hello? Hello? Are you dead?" Someone softly said to him.

"Uhhh."I reply

"Oh! Good you're awake! I thought that you were asleep so I was going to leave you alone but my boss said to come in here and wake you up but you were so peaceful and cute that I said no way but he said yes way and then he said or else your fired and then I was like-"

"Please shut up." I tell her as I rub my sleep out of my eye.

I open my eyes to confirm that she is a she.

"Ok!" She replies cheerfully. "Sorry about that, my friends say I talk to much but I'm like, no way and they're like, yes way and I'm like-"

"Can you please quiet down for a minute." I state coldly.

She giggles, "sorry about that, I guess it's kinda true I talk too much. I did learn how to talk when I was 1 month old after all. Oh! Did you know I got the world record for talking with a goldfish for 7 hours straight without getting bored!" She exclaims.

"No I didn't." I tell her as I stretch. "Ow!" My shoulder feels like it's on fire.

"Oh il get some ice!" The women rushes of to the corner of the room to get ice from a cabinet.

She's a pretty girl for her age, probably 23 at most. Blonde hair that curls down the side of her head, piercing blue eyes and a pretty nose. I'm surprised she looks so good without makeup.

"What's your name?" I call across the room to her.

"Me? Oh, my name is melody. Yours is..." She trails off deep in thought.

"Liam" I answer for her.

"I new that!" She snaps back. "Hear we go! Sorry it took so long, I sometimes have trouble doing things fast. But my friends always say I'm slow at everything but talking which is absolutely not true. Don't ya think? I don't talk that fast, I bet a turtle could beat me, it would be opening its mouse to speak when I would just be thinking of it!" She pulls out an ice pack and takes out three and putts them in a bag.

She walks over to me and hands me the bag, I accept it and place it over my wound. Relief courses through my body as the cold ice cools the burning pain in my shoulder.

"How long will I be here?" I ask Melody.

She tilts her head in thought, "il ask my boss, he'll surely now. He's a kind man and would gladly tell I'm sure. Sometimes he's in a bad mood but-."

"Melody, please?" She grins sheepishly and rushes off.

As Melody rushes off to her boss. Faster then I thought Melody rushes back into the room with a man with grey hair and kind grey eyes.

"Hello Liam! Melody told me you're wondering how long you'll be here?" His voice is deep but makes me feel safe and secure.

"Yes that's true Mr uhhh" I stop realizing I didn't know his name.

He just laughs. "My name is Dr Ravish."

I remember the doctor at school had said something about him, a miracle worker he had said.

"Well how long doc?"

"We'll see in a moment, il just take an X-Ray to see how the healing is going." He walks over to a machine and presses a button. One second later a little paper comes out. He takes it and frowns, he grabs another that was probably previously taken and his frown deepens.

"What's wrong?" I'm suddenly worried.

"Nothing, it's just.." His voice sounds like he's almost panicking. "From yesterday's results, you would be here for 3 weeks; but on this one...." He trails of.

"What is it? Tell me now" I was getting agitated.

"Well from my calculations, you healed so much over night that you would be ready to be released tomorrow."

My eyes probably fell out and my mouth probably fell to the floor. A knife wound healed completely in two days? . I look closely at my wound and realize how much better it looked.

"But how!"

"I don't know Liam, Il try to find out why over night! There must be a reason for this." Dr Ravish walks out of the room leaving Melody and I alone.

The silence is awkward so I try to lighten it up. "So Melody, what's going on with you?" But she was waiting for it and smiled crazily.

"Oh nothing really, just hanging out with my friends maybe go shopping and hang at my place something like that. I wish that we could go to the moon though, don't you? Like think about it! No gravity, no rules. And you could jump like five metres high! It's way funner then earth!" I think about telling her that funner I ain't a word but she starts again. "You know what's better then the moon? Mars! Think about meeting aliens! So cool! And the gravity would be even less there so you probably could jump ten metres high!" I once again think about telling her that humans haven't even reached Mars yet.

Dr Ravish comes in the room with another person. "Hello Liam, this is Dr Peter my assistant. Hes specialized in the healing process of the human body.

Dr peter comes forward and looks intently at the wound. Then looks at the X-Ray. He shrugs helplessly. "Il see what I can find, but this is very strange indeed." He turns and walks out the door.

Dr Ravish turns to leave as well. Suddenly a man burst into the room wheezing. "Message for Liam." He coughs.

"What's the rush? Dr Ravish asks him.

He looks up gravely, "it's Liam's parents!" He gasped no more. A minute later he still was recovering from running.

Ravish was getting impatient, "c'mon spit it out already."

"They're dead."
