Welcome to my eighth entry for the ONC! Eight years and eight stories! So much fun :)

After tossing up between prompts 41 and 55 (tempting as it was), I decided to go with Prompt 41, with a slight twist.

41. It's a canon event, after all. At that moment, he realized he had to end the toxic relationship for good. He disappeared from the country, leaving everything behind to start fresh. For a while, he had relied on him just to survive, but now he knew it was time to break free and reclaim his life.

As usual, I'm planning a sci-fi thriller with a thread of gay romance.

NB I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that I am Australian, which will mean I often use a more British style of grammar and spelling with words such as colour, recognise and favourite. Not wrong, just different :)
