The Cherry Blossom
Her fingers plucked the strings. Music erupted as she hit each one individually. A smile was painted on her lips, her eyes closed. Cherry blossom petals floated gracefully to the ground below, her dress resting ethereally on the emerald green grass. The trees around her slowly danced in the wind, the sun nearly set; it's colors a warm hue of orange and red. She hummed away to the tune of her Lyre, painted gold and silver. Her hair drifted silently down her shoulders, weakly held by some string. The golden hoops on her ankles jingled with the movement of her feet. The smell of light rain was fresh, and clean. Awakening. Energetic. Her hair shone blue; light baby blue in the fading sunlight. She was swept away in the beautiful notes of her Lyre; taken to another world.
"Katalia! Kataliana, where have you wandered off to this time?" A voice called her out of her daze, her eyes only just flickering open, revealing matching baby blue eyes.
"I'm here, Father. I'll be just a moment!" She called back softly, tying the miniature Lyre back onto the golden string that lined her waist. She slipped off the low hanging branch of the cherry blossom tree, her dress and hair gliding down slowly behind her. She turned back to the tree, smiling. "Thank you again." With that, she turned back and sprinted off to an opening, the hoops on her ankles clinking melodically as she ran.

"Where have you been?" Her Father questioned, a kindness glowing in his eyes, mixed with slight concern.
"Just to the tree, Father." She answered, smiling softly. She pointed to her Lyre, showing what she had been doing.
He nodded, a smile lighting his face, "I see. I'm sure she enjoyed that." She nodded, her hands gripping onto the light silk of her dress. "Very well then. Artemis and I are heading out to visit Zeus. Stay safe, my Dear." He gently rested a hand on her shoulder, kissing her forehead. "What have I done to be blessed with such a talented daughter, hmm?" He asked, mostly questioning himself.
She smiled, bowing her head slightly, "What have I done to be blessed with a Father like you, Apollo?" She replied, using his name as small praise. He chuckled quietly in response, flattered.
With that, he bared farewell to his sons, and was following Artemis out.

Only minutes after Apollo had left, Kataliana was back out with the tree, sitting firmly on the hanging branch. She propped her Lyre in her lap, resting her back on the sturdy trunk of the cherry blossom. After a moment of silence she stroked the strings, once again continuing the tune that had ended abruptly some time before. The tree's leaves and flowers glowed to the sound of the music, swishing back and forth in the weakened breeze. Her eyes gazed up to the stars shining their way through the darkening sky. She smiled, closing her eyes. A small tear drifted down her cheek, cherry blossom petals landing gently on her dress.
"Good Night, Mum.."
