Chapter-7
I ran down the aisle and looked for her everywhere. Until I saw a girl standing in a pink dress. It was Leah. I ventured closer and I saw that there was a guy in a black leather jacket who was asking her for a dance. Or rather worse, forcing her to dance. I broke into run.
"Woah brother. Easy. Why are you forcing her? If she said she doesn't wanna dance, there is no point." I spoke to the guy trying to be calm.
"Excuse me? Who are you? Her boyfriend? We are having a good time, don't bother us." he spoke.
"Shut your trash can up. We are not having a good time, okay? And secondly, he is my friend." Leah spoke gathering courage.
I was supposed to be calm until he held Leah's hand.
I punched him in the face. "Maybe, I am your mentor, here to teach you how to respect girls." I pulled his hands away from Leah's and grabbed them myself as I made my way through the crowd, which had already gathered there.
"Don't leave the party Blake." Fiona called out from the crowd. "She can go home now. You don't need to drop her." she spoke as she walked towards me.
"Are you stupid? How can I leave her alone after what happened tonight? I have to drop her home." I spoke.
"No please, I can go alone..." Leah had started to speak but I sushed her.
"Just come." I whispered.
Leah's POV
I don't know why but I felt a sense of security. A sense of comfort as his soft fingers brushed against mine. No guy had ever done that to me. Maybe, because I have always been that girl who fights for herself. But this time, it was him who fought for me. And now, he is even dropping me home. I didn't even know how to react to it. On the other hand, I felt all eyes on me. I felt like they were judging me because I was taking Blake away. It made me feel bad. I felt bad for I had created a scene there, which was not something I had ever wanted.
Blake's POV
They all wanted me to stay but I do not give a damn to them. How could they let anyone disrespect a girl? I couldn't resist myself at all. I was really furious at that time. Without even a word, I Ied Leah to the car and opened the door for her. After we both sat down and a moment of awkward silence, she finally spoke.
"Umm...Thank you BLAKE." she muttered.
"Wow...You took my name finally." I said, giggling.
"Okay. Now don't think that you did me a favour. I am an independent girl. I know how to fight for myself." She spoke in a soft yet clear tone.
"Oh well. You also don't think that you are special. Even if it was Fiona or even Rachel, I would have done the same." I replied to her.
"Fine," she smirked.
"Fine," I said annoyed.
We reached her place in fifteen minutes. Her house looked small but well-maintained.
"Your parents are waiting for you," I spoke pointing towards a couple sitting on the balcony.
"My parents? Oh yeah...They are there. Goodbye Blake. Thanks for today." She spoke nervously.
"Goodbye, Loser" I smirked accelerating my car.
Fiona's POV
He was on the dance floor with me. We were having such a good time. His eyes were locked in mine. His looks made my jaw drop. Probably, I would have told him. I would have told him what I had been feeling all this time. But this bitch spoiled everything. I wanted the party to be memorable but it turned out to be atrocious. Why did this Leah matter so much to him? Who is she? A girl who hasn't been here since even a month? For her, he left me on the dance floor? Maybe sooner or later, I will confess my love to him. I will tell him that he means the world to me. I am sure he wouldn't say no. A tear rolled down my cheek as I lied on my bed. My mascara was all spread out, my lipstick came out from the lines of my lips. But I didn't care. Guess, all I wanted was him! I took a deep breath as I forced myself to sleep.
Blake's POV
I sat down with Charlie and told him about what all happened. "I made my friends really disappointed" I sighed sadly.
"Ahem. Ahem."My mother came and stood behind me.
"You need to calm down Blake. I am so proud of my upbringing. My boy is such a gentleman. You need not feel sorry about anything." She smiled at me.
"But, my friends. I have disappointed them." I spoke to her.
"It is okay child. You can text them and apologize." She comforted me.
I hugged her and ran upstairs.
I texted everyone who I thought I owed an apology. Fiona, for leaving her on the dance floor like that. Ethan, for spoiling his date night with Rachel. And most importantly, James and Stacy for spoiling their day and creating a scene. But surprisingly, they all replied with the same energy. They were not at all mad at me which comforted my anxiety to a great extent. But there was still one person who hadn't replied. Fiona. I couldn't help wondering. Probably, I had hurt her alot. I had to apologize to her.Tomorrow itself...Or rather, TODAY
