Chapter Thirty-Seven, Travelling with the Lovegoods and a Holiday with the Weasleys
"Ready?" Sirius asked Izzy, holding out the Portkey, that would transport them to their camp in Cairo, Egypt where they were staying with Luna and Xeno, who they were meeting there. In the few days since Hogwarts had ended for the summer, Izzy had been forbidden from flying until they returned as punishment for putting herself in danger, but they hadn't been idle in that time. Sirius had sued everyone that had made a profit on Izzy, Lily and James since that Samhain night but he had also sued the Ministry for wrongfully claiming Potter Cottage which they had successfully reclaimed with the Goblins help and was now hidden beneath the Fidelius Charm so no one else could go there.
Sirius had taken Izzy to her Healer appointments not allowing her to miss a single one no matter what they had planned and he'd also disowned Bellatrix from the Black family and reinstated Andy, Ted and Dora into the Black family. They had also started on the building plans for the properties they wished to change and had done some shopping for their holiday so they wouldn't be overheated in the Egyptian sun.
"Ready." Izzy agreed excitedly, her extendable suitcase was shrunk and placed within her bag as she bounced from foot to foot barely able to keep still which just made Sirius laugh and pull her closer to him; not a second later the Portkey activated taking them from the mild weather of Scotland to the scorching hot weather of Egypt.
'Thank Mother Magic for Cooling Charms and Sun repellent charms that work better than Muggle sun cream.' Sirius thought.
"Izzy!!!" Luna screeched happily, skipping over to her best friend the moment she and Sirius had gotten their bearings. "Daddy has a whole list of creatures for us to find! I'm so happy you're here with us!" Luna exclaimed excitedly, hugging her best friend tightly.
"Right girls, grab some water and let's go." Sirius and Xeno called over to their chattering daughters who didn't even stop to realise they had unpacked for them. Squealing with excitement, the two girls packed their bags full of bottled water, snacks and a camera so they could not only capture memories but pictures of the magical creatures they found on their expedition.

After two weeks, the amazing expedition was finally coming to an end and although they would be joining the Weasleys and had an amazing time the girls were a little sad it was over so soon. Despite not seeing a Short-snout Snorkack (this time) they had managed to spot a family of Graphorns, a Thunderbird and a number of other amazing creatures, such Hippocampi, Nifflers and Pegasui calves, and neither girl could wait to see what they'd find next year. During the last two weeks in the hot sunshine Izzy had flourished as her body hit puberty, and she recovered from the abuse she'd suffered for ten years. She almost seemed to be glowing with her dark golden tan that made her emerald green eyes sparkle more than usual. She definitely was the definition of an exotic beauty, even Luna with her pale skin had caught a tan and looked more like a Fairy with her white blond hair and silver-blue eyes.
Sirius and Xeno knew that as these two girls grew older they would be fighting off boys with a ten foot pole, and Sirius was not looking forward to Fred spotting his daughter, he knew what hormonal boys, especially hormonal TEENAGE boys were like; filthy the lot of them. He would know as regretfully he used to be one of them; Lily's words truly were coming back to bite him on the rear.
"Have you had fun, pup?" Sirius asked, as they sat down to have their last meal with Luna and Xeno before the Lovegoods left for home come the morning and Sirius and Izzy left to join the Weasleys.
"Yes! This has been amazing!!! Thank you Mr Lovegood." Izzy exclaimed animatedly.
"You don't need to call me that, Izzy." Xeno chuckled.
"Xeno is just fine, and you're welcome. You have been a pleasure and are more than welcome to join Luna and I again next year." He beamed at the young girl who wasn't as reserved as she was when they first met.
"To friendships!" Sirius said, raising his glass of Butterbeer.
"To friendships!" Xeno, Izzy and Luna cheered, the quartet clinking their glasses together as they relished their last night on holiday together.

The next day after helping pack up the camp and bidding Luna and Xeno goodbye, Sirius and Izzy Floo'd over to the Magic Emporium Hotel, the inn located in the Magical District where the Weasleys were staying for their holiday, only for Izzy to be swept off her feet and up into Fred's arms as he spun her around in a circle eliciting giggles from the now thirteen year old girl.
"Happy early birthday Izzy! I saw this and had to get it for you." Fred told her, holding up the necklace of the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet.
"It's beautiful Freddie. I love it! Thank you." Izzy crowed with delight, lifting her hair up as she turned around so he could put it on for her.
"I'm glad and it suits you perfectly." Fred complimented flatteringly, causing bright pink spots to appear on both of their cheeks.
"Alright, alright lovebirds." Charlie said with a teasing laugh as Izzy's blush just turned brighter. "There's plenty of time on this holiday for you two to flirt, but we have a limited time to access the tombs so let's go. Oh, and Fred, be careful, it looks like Sirius wants to kill you." Charlie added laughing, clapping his brother on the shoulder as he passed.
"He's right, he does." Fred muttered, casting a wary glance at his idol. George, Lee and himself still couldn't get over that Sirius was Padfoot, Remus was Moony, Izzy's Dad was Prongs, and they couldn't believe that Wormtail had betrayed his friends. That was something they didn't get and probably never truly would. "Are you okay Izzy? You look good, happy."
"I'm good, it's been the best summer yet. You okay?" Izzy asked as she linked arms with Ron who had been passing by them. Ignoring or not noticing the smug look Ron directed at a now disgruntled Fred.
"I'm good. I'm just happy you're alright." Fred said happily, watching as Izzy listened intently to the history Bill told them about the tombs they were visiting.
"Now this tomb we're visiting next is Anubis, and it's been said they often visit special people, but even if they don't we still need to treat them with the proper respect and dignity they deserve!" Bill informed them all sternly, pausing just outside of the tomb. Once he was satisfied they were listening and had heeded his warning he led them inside only for a figure to materialise out of the shadows and stood staring at them all, but particularly Izzy.
"Great Anubis. We pay you no disrespect. We have come to see and worship your sacred place." Bill said reverently.
"Hello oh mighty Anubis." Izzy greeted, smiling blindingly at the figure who gave off a familial warmth - to her at least.
"Hello little one. I'm glad to see you aren't scared of me, cause I go by many names, and you are my Mistress, little one." The deep baritone voice of Anubis spoke with respect as it bowed its head towards Izzy before vanishing once more from sight leaving a stunned group left behind.
"Well," muttered George, blinking his eyes with shock. "Things are certainly never boring when you're around, are they, little sister?" He teased, laughing as a blush adorned Izzy's cheek and her hair took on a pink tinge.
"What did he mean, Dad?" Izzy asked Sirius curiously.
"I think it's to do with the Peverell side of your family, pup, but let's not worry about it for now alright?" Sirius asked, smiling when Izzy nodded as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He was excited just watching Izzy actually get to be her age for change, it was exciting and he loved watching her flourish. It was his favourite thing to do and this was certainly one of his better summers he's had.
In fact, it was everyone's best summer yet, but they should have realised nothing stays that way for long.
