Chapter Sixteen, Heiress Training
I know the Potters weren't in the Sacred Twenty-Eight but I changed it so there is now the Sacred Twenty-Nine. Also thank you to everyone who suggested a name for the new Weasley owl.
Chapter Sixteen, Heiress Training
A week after Izzy had moved in and settled in Lady Longbottom arrived to pick her up to take her to Longbottom Manor for her Heiress training, after writing a letter to Molly the night before. Izzy was currently sitting in the living room in the beautiful emerald dress that Augusta had gifted her for Christmas with the matching shoes, while Molly worked on her hair. Molly was working it up into a curled bun with a little pattern worked into her hair. She also had her bracelet on her wrist as always, she only ever took it off for a shower, sleep and when she painted her room, the same with her Heiress ring.
"There we go, sweetie, all done." Molly said happily, as she finished putting her hair up in a curly bun.
"Thank you Mrs Weasley." Izzy said happily, climbing up her feet and brushing out the skirt of her dress.
"You're welcome. Now have a look as Augusta will be here shortly." Molly said, conjuring a mirror in front of Izzy who gasped at what she saw.
"Thank you! Thank you! I love it!" Izzy declared happily, spinning in a circle while Molly smiled happily at her.
"I'm glad. Are you sure you're ready to go?" Molly asked, watching as Izzy went over to Errol and Hestia stroking both of their breast feathers. Ginny, after Izzy had told her about the Greek Gods and Goddesses that she'd read about in a book, had named the owl after the Goddess of Home, Family, Hope and Hearth which everyone happily agreed on.
"I'm sure. I packed the potions that I'll need this afternoon." Izzy replied, just as a knock sounded at the door. "I'll get it." Izzy said, as she was the closest one to the door.
Opening the door she was greeted by Augusta Longbottom dressed in a teal dress that could just be seen under her green coat and Neville who wore smart black trousers, black shoes and a white shirt.
"Good morning Lady Longbottom, Hi Neville." Izzy greeted, feeling a mix of motions. She was excited, nervous but still rather shy.
"Good morning Izzy. You look lovely." Augusta smiled at the young girl. "Are you ready to go?"
"I just need to grab my potions and say goodbye." Izzy said, darting into the kitchen to grab the small potion bag and into the Living room to say goodbye to Mr and Mrs Weasley. Bill and Charlie had taken the boys and Ginny out for the day. "Bye Mrs Weasley, Mr Weasley." Izzy said shyly.
"Bye sweetie. Have fun and learn loads and we'll see you this evening." Mr Weasley smiled at her. Feeling slightly more reassured from both their kind words, Izzy left the house, closing the door softly behind her.
"Ready Izzy?" Neville asked.
"Ready." Izzy agreed.
"Right, I want you to take my hand and hold on tight, both of you. We're going by Side-Apparition." Augusta instructed, holding out both her hands. Neville and Izzy each took a hand a moment before Augusta spun on the spot taking them away from The Burrow in Ottery St Catchpole, Devon, and away to Longbottom Manor in Birsay on the island off the Mainland of Orkney, Scotland.
When Izzy felt ground beneath her feet once again, she felt like the world was spinning as she took in great lungfuls of air. That had not been a pleasant experience, it felt like she had been squeezed through a very dark, and small tunnel.
"How're you feeling Izzy?" Neville asked, concerned.
"Okay, I think?" Izzy said, but it came out as a question.
"I'm impressed Izzy. Most people vomit the first time they use Side-Apparition, as it's harder on the second, or in this case, third person." Augusta explained gently, pride evident in her voice. "Welcome to Longbottom Castle." Augusta said, waving her wand causing the gates in front of them to open after a wave of magic had washed over Izzy.
"Wow!" Izzy said, stunned at the wonderful sight before her. There was a vast gravel driveway and at the end was a castle built from tan coloured stone and vast gardens as far as the eye could see.
"This is nothing. Potter Manor is in Scotland too, John O'Groats, Caithness. We are in Birsay on the island off the Mainland of Orkney, Scotland. Potter Manor is set in vast grounds with mountains, a lake and even a forest and all full of Magical Creatures. It is set out much like our Manor but without the small turrets." Augusta explained, as they walked up the driveway.
"Lady Longbottom," Izzy started.
"Sweetie, you know you can call me Augusta." Augusta said, smiling softly at her. Izzy smiled in reply.
"Okay. Augusta, it's true isn't it that Sworn Godfathers can't hurt their charges in any way, including they can't hurt her through hurting her parents. I looked it up at Hogwarts." Izzy stated rather than asked.
"That is true. Why do you ask?" Augusta asked suspiciously, having an inkling to what this was about.
"When Hagrid took me to Gringotts that first time, I did the Inheritance Test and it revealed that Sirius Black, the one everyone says betrayed by parents to Voldemort, said he was my Sworn Godfather." Izzy explained, causing both Longbottoms' eyes to widen.
"We will need to visit Gringotts before we take you home so I can give this news to Madam Bones before the trial. If it turns out this is the truth; Dumbledore lied as he would've known about the switch, that's the only explanation, and an innocent man got sent to Azkaban all so-"
"I would be sent to the Dursleys." Izzy finished grimly.
"Yes." Augusta said, with a cold hard look on her face. "Do you think Izzy, before we start our Heiress lessons you could write a letter to Hagrid asking him to give a statement to Madam Bones about the night he took you there on Dumbledore's orders, and over what you both saw in your Inheritance Test? You can use one of our owls." Izzy nodded her head, as Augusta snapped her fingers causing a House-Elf to appear. "Missy please could you fetch us some parchment, ink, quill and our fastest owl please." Augusta asked.
"Of course Dowager Longbottom, Missy shall fetch that right away." Missy said, disappearing with a loud pop and returned a moment later with what was requested, the owl perched on her thin shoulders. "Here you are." Missy said, handing over the parchment, quill and ink, while the owl perched on the back of a chair in the entrance hall.
"Thank you Missy." the three said gratefully.
Once the letter had been written and sent off with the owl along with a letter to the Head of the Potter Vault so they knew they would be coming. Augusta started on Izzy's Heiress lessons and training while Neville completed his homework.
"The next thing you need to know," Augusta stated, a couple of minutes after they started. "Once you come of age and have left school you will be required to take over your seat on the Wizengamot and host the annual Christmas Gala. Every year it is rotated around the Sacred Twenty-nine, so each Lord and Lady host it in their ancestral homes. It is normally a ball with a three course banquet and a band to dance to. The dance is usually a waltz, but don't worry I'll teach both you and Fred all you need to know.
Now, you can choose whether your Gala has a theme or not and you can also decide on the food and the music, but you must always, always greet every single guest graciously and see them off at the end of the evening. And it is always a formal event." Augusta explained. "Do you understand so far?"
"Yes." Izzy said softly, nodding her head.
"Good. Now, it is important that you donate to charities and hold fundraisers. Usually this is done once a year for both, but I like to do them twice a year for each, and you can choose which charity you'll donate to." Augusta explained once more. For the rest of the morning they went over her conduct for both the Wizengamot and in general, the rules of the Wizengamot, how to manage her accounts and finances, what charities there were, how to run and organise fundraisers, how to start a charity if she wished, how she was to hold herself, how to dance which Izzy was rather good at, and all manner of things.
When lunch time came around Augusta let Izzy go off to play with Neville in the gardens for a couple of hours, after the three had eaten together, before they headed to their two o'clock appointment at Gringotts with King Ragnok the Potter-Peverell Account Manager. Taking Augusta's hands once again the elderly woman Apparated them into the foyer of Gringotts.
"Good afternoon, we have an appointment with King Ragnok the Potter-Peverell Account Manager." Augusta said politely, to a free teller.
The Goblin peered suspiciously at her for a moment before he spotted Izzy standing beside her.
"Right this way." He said, climbing down from his desk and led them through the many twists and turns of the marble halls of Gringotts.
"Thank you Griphook." Izzy said, having recognised him from the previous summer, clearly shocking the Goblin.
"You are quite welcome, Heiress Potter-Peverell. It is quite refreshing to meet someone as polite and considerate as you. May your enemies tremble at your feet."
"May your gold flow for evermore." Izzy returned, as Augusta knocked on the door.
"Come in." A gruff voice said from inside. "Ah, Dowager Longbottom, Heir Longbottom and Heiress Potter-Peverell, please come in and take a seat." The Goblin said, pointing to the three chairs in front of his desk. "You would like a copy of your Inheritance Test sent to Madam Bones, particularly the part that details Lord Sirius Black as your Sworn Godfather, is that correct Heiress Potter-Peverell?" King Ragnok asked.
"Yes please King Ragnok." Izzy asked politely. "He's innocent and he got sent there on purpose and without trial, all so I would be sent to my relatives who hated all things magic." Izzy whispered, getting quieter and quieter towards the end. Augusta and Neville held Izzy's hands giving them a comforting squeeze.
"As you can see King Ragnok, Dumbledore left this poor sweet girl to be abused by abhorrent Muggles and the trial is in a little over a week. If we give this to Madam Bones now, it should have an innocent man freed from Azkaban before the summer is out." Augusta said, her voice tight with fury.
"But of course." King Ragnok quickly penned a letter then opened Izzy's file and removed the first page of her Inheritance Test and another page, attached both to the letter and sent it off with his Goblin magic.
"I also added my own statement stating Dumbledore has illegally in the past tried to remove money from the young Heiress's accounts as well as proof. This should send that meddling old fool to Azkaban for a very long time." He said, smirking darkly.
"Thank you for your time King Ragnok." Augusta said, standing and reaching into her purse when the Goblin King held up a hand.
"No Galleons is necessary, Dowager Longbottom. We have tried to prove that Lord Black is innocent but Dumbledore and Fudge stopped us at every turn. Now they shall get what is coming to them for even in the Goblin Nation to abuse a child is the worst kind of evil. I'm sorry this has happened to you, Heiress Potter-Peverell, may your enemies tremble before you." He apologised, bowing his head.
"Thank you King Ragnok and thank you for your help. May enemies tremble before the might of the Goblin Nation." Izzy said, bowing her own head before they took their leave.
They Apparated back to The Burrow where a worried Fred was pacing up and down the living room to the amusement of his brothers.
"Izzy!" Fred cried, running to her as soon as she stepped into the living room with Neville, Augusta, and his mother and father who'd let them in. As soon as he reached her he pulled her into a hug that startled her and caused her to flinch for a moment, then hugged him back after she'd gathered herself.
"Sorry." Fred whispered into her ear. "I was worried about you."
"It's okay Freddie." Izzy said, as they stepped back. Only for Izzy to be pulled into multiple hugs by Ron, Ginny, Percy, Bill, Charlie, Molly and Arthur.
"Sorry we are late back Molly, Arthur, but we had to see the Potter Account Manager as Izzy discovered something." Augusta said, as she explained all about Sirius Black being sent to Azkaban without a trial and wrongfully sent there.
"Well done Izzy you may have just saved a man from a terrible fate. How did you figure this out?" Arthur praised.
"It was on my Inheritance Test and I was confused about what everyone was saying so I looked it up at Hogwarts and he couldn't have hurt me through hurting my parents so-" Izzy said shyly.
"So Dumbledore knew this and sent an innocent man to prison. All so Izzy could be sent to the Dursleys." Bill finished for her angrily.
"WHAT!!!" Fred, George and Ron shouted angrily, causing Izzy to flinch and move away from them.
"Boys!" Molly reprimanded.
"Sorry Izzy." They said guiltily.
"Dumbledore has also tried to steal from her in the past so everything has now been sent to Madam Bones along with statements from Izzy, Hagrid and King Ragnok." Augusta finished explaining.
"Izzy if you want us to be there for you at the trial. We will be, I promise." Neville said, hugging his sister, once the adults had finished talking and it was time for Neville and Augusta to head home.
"Please." Izzy asked.
"Then we will be." Augusta smiled at her. "Molly, as Izzy and Fred get older they'll need to have the lessons with me together, but I can teach Fred somethings beforehand if you'd like?" Augusta asked.
"Thank you Augusta. But perhaps another holiday as you are already taking on far too much already." Molly said, concerned.
"Nonsense. I like to keep busy." Augusta smiled, before she frowned when Izzy shouted wait and ran upstairs and came down a moment later with something clasped behind her back.
"Would you mind giving this to my Godmother and to Uncle Frank when you next visit them please?" Izzy asked, handing Neville a moving drawing of his parents when they were younger with Izzy's own parents next to them and written at the bottom was, 'with love, Izzy.'
"Bill made it move for me." Izzy explained, still holding something else behind her back.
"This... this is amazing Izzy. Thank you." Neville said tearfully, showing his Gran.
"We will definitely give it to them tomorrow thank you Izzy." Augusta said, after she'd swallowed back some tears.
"And he duplicated this for me too." Izzy said, pulling a framed photo out from behind her back. In the frame was a picture of Izzy's parents holding a baby Izzy and standing beside them was Alice and Frank holding a baby Neville. Both parents were smiling and laughing at their children who seemed to be a year old and were happily babbling and laughing at each other as Izzy's hair changed colours rapidly causing Neville to laugh and try to grab it, only for his hand to be grabbed my his mother who brought it up to her lips to kiss it.
Neville flung himself at his sister holding on to her tightly while whispering thank you over and over again.
"Do you still have it?" He asked, concerned. Although he wanted to keep it he didn't want to take it away from Izzy either.
"I duplicated it for her, Neville." Bill assured him.
"Thank you." Neville said gratefully.
"You are truly a remarkable young girl, Izzy and my Neville is so lucky to have you as a friend." Augusta said, wiping away her tears.
"Not friend, Gran. Sister and best friend." Neville argued, Augusta smiled at him.
"Stick them both in my purse Neville so they'll be safe and say your goodbyes." Augusta said, clearing her throat a little but smiling proudly as Neville, Ron and Izzy hugged in a three way hug.
"I know I said it before but I'm sorry about your parents Nev." Ron said sadly, casting a glance to his own who were smiling proudly at him. He would never take them for granted.
"Thanks Ron." Neville whispered. After they'd said their goodbyes the Longbottoms headed home and Molly dished up lasagna for dinner, Arthur watching Izzy shrewdly to make sure she took her potions and smiled proudly at her when she'd taken the last one grimacing at the taste. They knew they'd found another kink into whatever plan Dumbledore had brewing and they couldn't wait for it to be over.

In the Ministry of Magic Madam Bones had received all of the letters, proof and statements from Hagrid, Isadora Potter and King Ragnok and was ordering her most trusted Aurors to look into Sirius Black's trial while she added the information she'd received to the evidence against Dumbledore when there was a knock on her door.
"Come in." She called, looking up as the door opened to reveal Kingsley. "What did you find?"
"There is no trial on record for Sirius Black and I just received a record of the Fidelius Charm. It states it was changed from Sirius Black to Peter Pettigrew and Dumbledore himself was there. He cast both charms." Kingsley explained, after shutting the door and sitting in front of Madam Bones's desk.
"Where did you find this? I've been searching for it since last year." Madam Bones exclaimed, wondering who'd sent it to him.
"Minerva found it hidden away in a secret compartment of the desk in the Headmaster, now Headmistresses office." Kingsley explained, producing said information.
"Set a course for Azkaban. We need to get Sirius Black out of there and give the order to search for Peter Pettigrew." Madam Bones ordered.
"Of course Ma'am." Kingsley agreed, rushing out of the office to do as ordered.
Later that night Sirius was rescued from Azkaban by Madam Bones, Kingsley and four other Aurors, healed by some extensive Healers the Ministry had on standby just in case one of the guards succumbed to the Dementors aura. After Sirius was tried and found innocent, something that protocol demanded and Madam Bones would do everything by the book so the Minister could not overrule it, he was admitted to a secret and locked ward in St Mungo's to be healed by the best Healers and Mind Healers at the expense of the Ministry. While Sirius was being treated and demanding to see his precious, precious Goddaughter, an emergency issue of the Daily Prophet was sent out early the next morning to the shock of the Wizarding World.
SIRIUS BLACK FOUND INNOCENT
Yes dear readers, you read the headline correctly. Was it the esteemed Aurors who found out that Sirius Black was innocent and sent to Azkaban without trial nearly eleven years ago? No it was not. It was his Sworn Goddaughter Isadora Talia Potter who found this out due to investigating the previous year at Hogwarts, after taking an Inheritance Test the previous summer that stated the Black Lord is her Sworn Godfather. Now we all know that Sworn Godparents cannot harm their charges in any way which is proof enough he did not betray the Potters whereabouts to You-Know-Who and if that is not enough, dear readers, then this will be: he was not the Secret Keeper to the Potters. He was at first but it was switched to Peter Pettigrew so Sirius Black could be the diversion.
Black never killed Pettigrew or those Muggles, it was all Pettigrew after which he cut off his finger and turned into a rat and escaped. Readers be aware that this rat is a fading mousy brown colour with a toe missing on his front left paw, if you see this rat make sure he does not escape and contact the DMLE immediately. Now, on to more troubling news; Albus Dumbledore was the one to cast the Fidelius Charm both times and sent an innocent man to Azkaban while he allowed the real murderer to remain at large. But why do you ask?
It was a part of Albus Dumbledore's plan so young Isadora Potter would be sent to her Muggle relatives, relatives he assured us she would be safe at. That was not the case. Young Isadora Potter was never once safe there, she was abused by said relatives as they tried to beat the magic out of her. She was starved, locked in a cupboard and beaten extensively, the only thing that kept her alive was her magic. She is now on an extensive Potion Regime and living with the Weasley family. A trial against her relatives and Dumbledore was meant to be held in a week and a half's time but has been brought forward, the date has been withheld for security reasons.
Sirius Black is staying in a secure ward at St Mungo's and is being treated by the best Healers and Mind Healers money can buy at the expense of the Ministry, which the Minister has tried to dispute but has been unsuccessful and called into question by Madam Bones who is set on re-writing the wrongs and injustice that has plagued our community since the last war. However, we at the Daily Prophet hope that Isadora Potter and Sirius Black get the justice they deserve and wish them well in their long and extensive recovery.
As soon as Bill had finished reading the article he rushed upstairs to Ron's room and cast a number of extensive charms so the rat could not escape from his cage and Apparated away from his home to the Ministry. He would answer the questions when he got back, but for now he needed to act and act now.

In two different parts of the country both Remus Lupin and Sirius Black fell to their knees in a scream of agony as their magic burst from them when they read the news of their Cub/Pup. They had failed her. They would do better for her, no matter what.
