Once upon a time a child hiked up to Mt. Ebott intent on ending their life. She had heard the rumors of monsters being in the mountain that would kill any human in sight. She wandered for hours looking for a monster but never saw one. She ran through the trees desperate for a way to end it all. Not looking where she was going, she tripped on an uprooted tree limb. She began to fall through an enormous hole in the ground. She smiled knowing this was it and welcomed death with open arms. However later she awoke on a bed of golden flowers.

She placed a hand on her throbbing head and looked to the hole above. She saw light shining down illuminating the area around her. "Oh my goodness! Are you ok?" she looked around for the source of the voice. "Up here." She glanced up and noticed someone floating above her. This person looked similar to her only this person was wearing different clothes. "Here let me help you. My names Chara, what's yours?" Chara asked as she reached for her hand. "Frisk." She answered. "Frisk huh? That's a nice name." Chara said with a smile. Frisk smiled back and got to her feet. She felt incredibly dizzy and felt a splitting pain in her head. "Woah take it easy. Don't push yourself." Chara said supporting Frisk. "So Frisk, how old are you if you, don't mind my asking." Frisk tells Chara that she is 13 years old. "Really? So am I!" Chara said. The two kept chatting and learning about one another. Chara told Frisk that she was dead. She died a long time ago but can't remember how. This made Frisk a little cautious, but she remembered why she came to Mt. Ebott in the first place. Chara told Frisk she woke up when Frisk fell. She doesn't know why but she feels it's important. Frisk and Chara exited the area they were in. There they found a flower waiting for them. The flower introduced themselves as Flowey. They went on to explain that they were in the underground, what EXP and LV was, and that in this world its KILL or BE KILLED. Chara told Frisk to fight but Frisk refused. Luckily a new monster named Toriel came to the rescue. She explained she was the caretaker of the Ruins and that a child so small should not be out here alone. She took Frisk into the ruins and led here through the first few puzzles. After she left to take care of a few things but gave Frisk a cell phone in case she needed to contact her. Chara grew a bit quiet and despondent after that. Frisk came to the end and Toriel took her into her humble home. Toriel had prepared a room for Frisk and made butterscotch cinnamon pie. Frisk laid down to rest a while hoping to soothe her pounding head. As she slept she saw horrible images. She saw herself fighting a skeleton. She watched herself die over and over. She was terrified. Then she saw the field of flowers and she ate one. She then felt herself die again and wake up looking at herself fall.

She woke up gasping and shaking. "So you saw it huh? You remember everything now don't you? Don't worry I do to. I still want this place gone but if you can resist me by the time we reach the castle, I'll leave you alone. You can live your life outside the barrier." Frisk nods, knowing she can't talk to Chara, even if she seemed nice at first. She knows she couldn't stop her before but this time, things were going to be different. Frisk usually got as far as papyrus before Chara killed them. This time she wouldn't hurt them. She wouldn't hurt anyone.

Frisk got up and went to do the same thing as always. She asked Toriel how to leave, engaged in battle and spared her. Chara wanted to kill her of course but Frisk refused. She made her way out and knew she'd see Sans. She thought of a different way to do things. She hadn't done it before, she always did the same thing over and over again. She just hoped sans would believe her.

In this AU Sans is 16 and Frisk is 13. Thats how old my husband and i were when we first met. In this AU Frisk is constantly battling for control with Chara, over her body. This will eventually go on to the main character however we need a bit of build up. So enjoy a little rehash of Undertale while you wait for the main event.
