Chapter 3 - She was a Teenage Abomination

[Disclaimer: I don't own Disney and the creator of The Owl House but my original characters. My characters are non-canon to the actual series, but this story is.]

—————

Another day, in the Boiling Isles. Four characters see a giant leach with large eyes are spread across its back and head, and large black spines run along the back between the eye located on the head and those on its back, lying on the beach, dead. It was filled with junk inside, and the reason why Eda goes selling human stuff in the Boiling Isles.

"Well, Luz, Azure... did you ever in your life think you'd see something as breathtaking as this?" Eda says as Luz looks in disgust while Azure pinches his nose from the smell.

"I don't like this," Luz said.

"I don't like that smelly smell. Is this why you sell stuff from our world?"

"Yes, it doesn't get much more inspiring than the trash slug. It makes a home, a life from what others have thrown by the wayside. Until, blam, it gets blasted by a wave one day and croaks from all the salt. And then we get to sell the stuff it ate."

Eda pulled out a pickaxe and held it out to Luz. "Please don't make me," Luz begged with a croaky voice, terrified.

Eda shrugs her shoulders and turns to Azure, who shook his head in denial.

"Aw, come on, guys." King places the towel. "It's not every day you get to go to the dump and pick apart a garbage carcass."

"Ah, nuts to you both," Eda said before she began swinging her pickaxe and digging inside the slug.

Form Azure and Luz's perspectives of Eda's methods in teaching weren't what they imagined. They were expecting to learn actual magic instead of digging through monsters belly that contains stuff from their world.

Luz and Azure go to Eda and talk about her ways of teaching aren't helping. "Eda, when are we going to be, you know, begin our training?"

"What are you talking about? We've already begun this training." Eda said before swinging her pickaxe again, making a crashing sound as Luz cringed.

"So, Eda." Luz tries to ask Eda, but she's busy digging. Luz continues, "But what if we tried some new lessons for our apprenticeship? Like... Read ancient scrolls or mix potions, or‐"

"Ugh. That sounds like a bunch of magic school stuff." Eda says before getting back to digging the corpse.

"There's a magic school here? As in, learning spells, wands swishing, and flicking?" Azure said.

"-Winding towers, cute uniforms, dark plots that threaten your life kind of magic school?" Luz added.

'Why are we talking about something similar to Harry Potter?' Azure asks himself.

"Mm-yep. What's worse, they force you to learn magic the "proper" way. But magic isn't proper. It's wild and unpredictable. And that's why it's so beautiful." She faces the teens as the stench and flies flew around her. "I didn't finish school, and look at me! Who wouldn't envy where I am right now?" Eda said.

"Probably, no one, yet," Azure muttered.

Eda sees Luz looking down, "Uhh... Hey, here's a lesson" She digs something around and hands it to Luz. "A great witch is resourceful, like this." It was a green, greasy slime ball in her hand.

Luz is less impressed with what she got in her hand. "Oh, great... a slimy, greasy slime ball," Luz commented.

"Use your slime ball wisely, young witch," Eda said, holding Luz's hands together and trying to sound-wise. "Okay, back at it! We'll hit the stink nodes first."

"Actually, I think we'll head back home and look at pictures that are still alive." She said as she walks away as Azure follows. Before leaving, she went to King, who was wearing plastic shades, and rubs his belly. " Love you, King. You little beach peach."

-----

Azure went on ahead and entered the forest. He had hands in his pockets, looking unamused from Eda's teaching. Luz catches up as they walk together back to the owl house. Luz looks at the slime ball, which looks like a brown, large seed. She puts it in her pocket.

"I don't know if either Eda's ways of teaching are helping us or not-so-helpful at all. We've only been here for five days, and she taught neither of us a single thing about magic." Azure said.

"Ugh! If the magic's all about digging for slime balls, maybe I don't have the stomach for it."

Then a girl's voice can be heard somewhere around in the forest. She said, "You can do it! I know you can!"

"Mysterious voice of encouragement?" She asked before going off to the forest.

"Luz, wait! Damn it!" Azure said before following her. "Every time there always troublesome."

Luz and Azure pushed some bushes aside, only showing faces as they saw a chubby girl who has light skin, pointed ears, green eyes, and short, turquoise-blue hair. She wears a pair of round glasses, her sleeves and leggings were grayish pinks. The tunic is dark gray, including the belt, cowl, and boots. Next to her was a book, a backpack, and a stone vase on a wooden wheelbarrow.

Luz gasps, "No. Little witch girl."

"You can do it. Even if you get a bad grade, it's not a reflection of you as a witch. And my parents are right. There are better opportunities on this track. Now, get to school." She stopped when she stomped on the flower. She lifts her foot to see what she stepped, she gasped in horror. "Oh, no! Oh, little friend! I'm sorry!"

She calms herself as she drew a magic circle of green light above the flower. It rained down small, green orbs as the plant grew back to health.

Azure and Luz watched the girl healing the flower, then they hear something or someone else coming. It was another wheelbarrow, glowing green, that came rolled up in front of her. The owner is sitting on top of the cauldron.

That person on the cauldron is also a witch, wearing a similar uniform to the other witch. She has pale skin, chin-length hair with a ponytail pulling the front hair out of her face, and her eyes are golden colored. Like most witches, she has pointy ears. Her hair is two-toned, comprised of shades of aquamarine hair with brown visible at the roots.

The green-haired girl looked down at the other girl and smirked, "Willow." She said before she closes the book that says, "Magic 101," and jumps down from her cauldron. "You're so unnoticeable I almost rolled into ya." She lightly chuckled as the flower died again.

"Hey, Amity." Willow crosses her arms, not happy to see her as the little miss perfect student.

"Shouldn't you get to class early to prep your..." Willow's wheelbarrow rattles, then it fell to the side as the pot open lots of purple goop with an eyeball. Willow hid under her hood and blushed in embarrassment. "This is why people call you "Half‐a‐Witch Willow." Amity sighed.

"Witch drama," Luz whispers.

Amity's wheelbarrow rattles. "Oh, looks like someone wants to say something to you." She smugs as she snaps her fingers and crosses her arms. "Abomination, rise."

The goop from Amity's cauldron emerges. It looks like a golem humanoid from a purple goop with three eyes and a mouth.

It leaned and groaned as it placed its finger and drew a star on Willow's forehead. "You're a... star." Said the abomination.

"Aw. It's like mine." Said Amity, tapping to her star badge from her cloak. On it, it says, Top Student. "But much smaller, and meaningless. As a top student, it is my duty to tell you to keep at it. Even you could get a passing grade someday."

Azure glares at Amity. He feels sorry for Willow as he could only watch her get embarrassed by Amity. He wishes he could stand up for her, but he and Luz will be exposed as humans and Halfie. So, he'll hold his grudge for now as Amity commands the abomination.

"Abomination, cower." She commanded as the abomination groans and melted back to its cauldron. Then she places the lid back. "See you in class, superstar," Amity mocked before she left.

"Oh, see you in class, superstar!" Willow mimicked Amity mockingly before wiping the goop on her forehead furiously. While ranting angrily, the winds started to pick up the leaves around her. " I hate when she does that. I hate making abominations. I hate getting bad grades. Ugh! I can't stand this anymore!"

Willow's eyes shot tightly, then she snapped her eyes open. Her eyes glowed green, and the ground shook as the flower erupted a mass of large thorn vines. Azure and Luz are shocked at her plant magic going berserk as the vines swung wildly around her. Then, one of the vines went straight for Azure's leg. Luz's leg gets caught as well. They're both dragged, and one of their legs is bleeding.

Azure drew his sky blue magic circle and sliced the thorned vine off his leg. His leg was scraped and bleeding a little, but still able to stand up. Luz is dragged towards Willow.

"Luz!" Azure exclaims.

"Azury!" Luz yelled.

The voice caught Willow's attention, who turned around, glaring at them. Azure's arms get caught by her thorned arms and grunting in pain. The vines were about to tear off his arms until Willow realizes as her eyes changed back to normal. Her expression changed from anger to concern. She runs to Azure and Luz. "Oh, no, no, no, no, no! I'm so sorry!" She apologizes as she helps remove the vines off of them.

"It's okay. The thorns only went through a few layers of skin." Luz said.

"Your vines almost ripped off my arms," Azure said.

"I know, I'm sorry for what happened. I didn't know you two were there," Willow said. "You okay?"

"It's fine. I'll walk it off eventually." Then Azure noticed Willow getting close to his face. "Uh, what are you doing?"

"So... circular and pointy," Willow said, gazing at him before looking at Luz. "So circly." Luz covered her ears in panic.

"Umm..." Azure couldn't find the words to reply to Willow.

Willow gasped in realization and smiles. "You're a Halfie and a human!" She exclaimed, getting a closer look at Azure. "I haven't seen a Halfie and a human in person before! This is outstanding! How'd you get here? What are you doing here?"

"It's kind of a long story. We're..." Before Azure could reply, the sudden bell toll could be heard in the distance.

Her smile was gone when she heard the bell. "Uh, I'm sorry. I can't stay. I have to go disappoint my teacher. It was nice to meet you both." Willow said, waving goodbye as she walks away to her wheelbarrow, saddened.

Willow picked up her books before Luz stops her and introduces herself. "Wait! I'm Luz. And this is my friend, Azure. I like to call him Azury."

"Uh, hi..." Azure waved.

"And you're Willow, right? What you did with that flower and those plants, it was... wow."

"Thanks, but... I'm not even supposed to be doing plant magic."

"Why? You were so amazing with your plant magic." Azure said.

"Thanks, but... I'm not even supposed to be doing plant magic. My parents put me on the abomination track at school."

"Seriously? For what reason?" Azure asked.

"I-It's personal..." Willow said.

Luz squeals of the word, 'school.' "Like magic school? That's so cool! I'm so jealous. We have a teacher, but her lessons are a bit untraditional. I bet she wouldn't even let us enroll. But I wish Azury and I could spend one day there."

"I wish I could get a passing grade for once. Then people would stop calling me "Half‐a‐Witch Willow." Willow said in a depressed tone.

"Wait a minute! I know how we can both get what we want." Luz then picks up the goop and covers herself with it.

"What are you doing?" asked Azure.

"Make me your abomination. I'll get you a good grade, and you can get us into magic school. It's fiendishly clever."

"What?" Willow said.

"You're kidding?" Azure said in deadpanned tone.

"We saw that green-haired girl's thing. It's just chunks of stuff that talks weird. I'm chunks of stuff, and I talk weird!" Luz said with enthusiasm.

"T-That's true." She said before she giggled. "Okay. It's a deal. Luz."

Azure groans, "Fine, but I'm not covering in that goo. Also, is there a way to get those school clothes?"

"No, but I know someone who can," Willow said.

------

Azure walked beside Willow, who is hauling the pot. Luz is hiding under it as she peeks out under the lid. Azure puts on his hood to hide the ears. After minutes of walking, they made it to the school.

"Welcome to Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. Remember to stay hidden, okay?" Willow told Luz as she squeals with joy and nods.

"I can't believe we're going to do this," Azure said to himself.

"Oh, come on, Azury! It'll be fine." Luz said inside the pot.

Azure rolls his eyes and sighs softly.

Inside the school, they stopped at the second floor as Willow goes to her locker. She tickled the creature as it opened its mouth. Willow grabs her Magic 101 book.

Azure looked around the school until he was bumped by another wizard, who was distracted by reading a magazine. He is noticeably short, has brown skin, and dark brown hair with lighter shades. He wore the uniform like Willow, but the color on his sleeves and leggings are cyan.

"Willow. You would not believe humans." He said, continuously reading the magazine.

"Humans? Psh. I haven't seen any. What?" Willow said nervously before looking at the cauldron and Azure.

"Did you know that humans nail barbed wire to their kids' teeth?" He showed the girl, who shows her braces with the tagline 'Em-brace yourself!' on it. "But why? Maybe to make them magnetic."

Azure answered, "The braces are for straightening your teeth."

"And it's for storing treats, " Luz said inside the cauldron. The young boy heard Luz's voice from within. He looked at Willow and Azure, raising his eyebrow in confusion.

"God dang it, Luz." Azure whispers to himself. "Are you sure we can trust him?" He asked Willow as she nods. "Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag."

"You have a cat in your bag?" He asked. Not knowing what Azure meant.

"It's just an expression."

"Okay, Augustus. I'm gonna tell you something. But you have to be cool about it." Willow said.

"Sure, I can be spool." Augustus said before he stammers, "I-I mean cool."

Azure took off his hood, revealing his round and pointy ears. Then he took off the lid of the cauldron.

"Okay. Abomination rise," Willow commanded, signaling Luz to emerge.

Luz emerges from the cauldron as she comes out with her arms out. "Ta‐da! I'm an abomination."

"Luz, that's not how abominations act," Willow said.

They look at Augustus, who is staring at Luz and Azure as he dropped the magazine on the ground. Shocked beyond belief as he gazed at their ears. "No. No, it, it couldn't be." He said.

"Is he okay?" Azure asked Willow.

"Don't worry. Augustus is the president of the Human Appreciation Society. Most witches wouldn't be able to recognize a human right away. But he is an expert." Willow explained.

"Where are your gills?" Augustus asked.

"If I had gills, then I wouldn't be here."

He gasps at Azure. "A Halfie? I never get to see them in person!" Augustus looks at him, head to toe. "Tell me. What kind of magic do you do?"

"I... Uhh..."

"We knew an Augustus back in the human world. We called him Gus." Luz said, changing the subject.

"Gus? Nickname? Human nickname? Gus? Call me it. Wow. Gus. This is the best day of my life."

Then the bell, which has a mouth with fangs and a ringer as an eye, mixed with screaming and ringing.

"I've gotta get to spelling class." Gus picks up his magazine and wand. "See you guys at lunch!" He said before leaving, but before he could leave Willow grabs his hood.

"Wait, Gus. Is there any chance you have extra uniforms for Azure?" Willow asked.

"Yeah, he can have my extra cowl." Gus reaches inside his bag and takes out the extra uniform in Hexside.

"You sure your okay giving this to me?" Azure asked. He puts it on and nods. "Hmm, looks good on me. Thanks, Gus." He said as Gus smiled giddily.

Gus felt ecstatic to have the Halfie thank him. He then runs to his class.

"All right, into the darkness you go," Willow said to Luz, who hissed playfully and got back in the cauldron as Willow placed the lid back on.

------

Willow and Azure entered the Abomination 101 class. The other students have their cauldron. There are four or five people or creatures inside the classroom, hoping they'll pass the class.

As Azure enters the classroom he was startled when the teacher stopped him. "Hold it! I don't remember having you in my class." Azure swallows his saliva, starting to sweat bullets.

The teacher is a stubby and short humanoid creature with pointed ears, a round beak-like mouth with two fangs on the top row of his teeth, two claws on each foot, and narrow eyes. He has green, chin-length hair with a large bald spot on the top of his head. He has inward-facing green eyebrows and a small green beard. He wears orange tinted circular glasses with no temples. He also has defined cheekbones.

He wears a black shirt and pants with an oversized purple coat with red lining. He wears a silver now around his neck. He is carried by a different color of an abomination with pointy horns and a sad, drippy face.

"I supposed that you're new here, are you?" The teacher asked. "What track are you in?"

"I don't have a coven, yet..." Azure shrugs his shoulders nervously. "But, I want to see what this class is about... I'm sort of touring myself and decide what fits me..."

The students murmured to each other. Some of them are confused at this point. Amity, on the other hand, raises her eyebrow in suspicion.

"Nothing, yet?" He looks at Azure for a few moments until silence broke, "Well, That was a poor excuse, but I guess you can only watch our session for now because we're already past a few seconds late for class time. Next time you come to a classroom WITH an abomination color or elemental track. Now go sit next to Amity." The teacher said as he begins the class.

While Azure goes to the desk, Amity looks at him. 'Who and what is he doing in our classroom? I never heard a new student coming to the school grounds.' She thought before focusing on the session.

Azure sits at the desk next to Amity. She looks at him before looking at the teacher. "I don't remember a new student like you, transferring here at Hexside," Amity said.

"Look, little miss perfect. I think the principal wants a transfer student who doesn't like to be announced." Azure said.

"Doesn't matter. Either way, you don't look like the type of guy who just got transferred unannounced. I'm going to keep an eye on you, Halfie."

Azure crosses his arms while paying attention to the teacher. "Whatever, Kitty cat." Amity looks at Azure for a few seconds before turning back to the session.

-----

An hour later, Azure watches the students taking turns, presenting their Abominations. One by one, the teacher gives out short critics students about their creations, each of them disappointed. The next one was a girl with horns and presented hers with too many toes, wiggling.

"Hmm. Too many toenails in unexpected places. Fail. Pathetic!" Her abomination shrunk back to its cauldron. The student with horns looks down with a saddened look and hauls her wheelbarrow back to her desk. "The biggest abominations are all of you! If the next abomination is a failure, everyone gets extra homework for a month!" The teacher said as students groan and complain.

"Extra homework? Not again..." The student said before placing his head down on the desk.

"Oof," Azure winced.

Amity was smirking with a satisfied look.

The teacher clears his throat, "And the next one to come up is..."

Amity then raises her hand, "Excuse me, sir, but I am ready to present my abomination. Rise!" Her abomination rose from her cauldron and poses like a ballerina.

"You always like and want to show off, do you?" Azure commented.

The teacher chuckles at amusement. " I've always saved the best for last, Amity. You'll have to wait your turn. How about... Willow."

The student groaned and complained around her. "Not Half-a-Witch..." "Great... Homework for a month." They said before Willow pulls out her hood over her head.

Luz pokes out from the cauldron, "Don't listen to them, Willow. We can do this." She whispered ass Willow sighs. Azure gives her a thumbs up, giving her confidence.

Willow takes her wheelbarrow to the front of the class. "Uh... Abomination, rise."

Luz punched the lid and came jumping out. She twirls in the air before landing on the ground and posing with her eyes staring in different directions. "Ta-da!"

All students in the classroom were surprised and shocked that they saw Luz. Amity was mostly shocked. The last time she saw Willow with her abomination was a puddle of goop. She didn't expect her to do something so impressive.

"Abomination, bow," Willow said as Luz follows the command.

"Very impressive, Willow. But does it speak?" The teacher asked.

"Uh, I may be your abomination, but you're my a‐mom‐ination," Luz said as she cuddles Willow. Every student except Amity found it adorable.

"A‐mom‐ination!" Splendid wordplay. A plus!" The teacher said as he made his way and painted Luz's forehead an "A+."

The students cheered for Willow while Amity turns from shock to anger and suspicion.

-----

The bell screamed again before coughing, thus ending the class period. Willow rolled her wheelbarrow out of the classroom as Azure follows.

"Jeez, someone needs to replace that bell," Azure said.

Then the teacher from Abomination 101 stopped by, "Wonderful work today, Willow. Looks like we have a new top student."

Just as Amity was walking out of the class, she stopped and dropped her textbooks while gasping in shock. Amity growled in anger before the teacher took off the badge from her cowl. "But..." She tried to protest about it, but he already placed it on Willow's cowl.

"Uh‐‐ Thank you, sir," Willow said.

The teacher walks away, Amity marches over to Willow and Azure, furious. "Hey." She crosses her arms and glares at her. "Last time I saw you, your abomination was mush. What did you do?"

"I, uh, took your pep talk to heart, Amity."

"I bet you did. I've got my eyes on you, Half‐a‐Witch. That badge is mine. Especially you, Halfie." Amity pointed at Azure, who is glaring at her. She then walks away while looking at Willow and him as she bumped into some students as she leaves at the corner.

Willow is starting to be more worried. "Uh‐oh. I think Amity is onto us."

"Meh, don't worry about her, Willow. We'll get through this at the end of the day."

"I hope so, Azure."

-----

At the cafeteria, Willow, Gus, and Azure sat at the table. Luz sticks her head out from the cauldron. Gus takes out his peanut butter and jelly sandwich." Hey. Do humans eat PB&J's?" He asked.

"Oh, my gosh. I haven't eaten real food in so long. Please give me some." Luz said. Gus tears off half of his sandwich and give it to her. Luz halves it and gives a quarter to Azure, who eats immediately.

Willow worriedly said, "I don't know, Gus... If Amity saw that..."

"Hey, isn't that her coming to our table?" Azure said as Amity jumped onto the table, furious. "Oh..."

"I saw that!" Amity yelled before getting close to Willow, who flinched. "Abominations don't eat!"

"Hey, we're trying to eat here. So can you do us a favor and get off?" Azure asked Amity before she shouted, "You stay out of this!"

Amity turned to the cauldron and peep into it. "I know you're in there! You can't hide from me!" She pulls out Luz, who is playing dead. The students all over the cafeteria are looking at the so-called 'Top Student.' Everyone thinks she's acting crazy as she holds Luz's hoodie and shakes her. "What are you? Who are you? I want answers!"

Azure drags Amity off the table and separates her and Luz. "Hey! Listen, Halfie. I know Willow's abomination isn't like this I saw, so get out of my way, or else!" She said.

"Or else what? Fight in public?" Azure said.

"If you stop interfering! I know what I saw. Her project was a puddle of goop. Not some human type abomination."

Azure grabs Amity's cowl and glares at her. "You wanna test that?" He growled. The students are looking between them, thinking they are going to have a fight in school.

"Get off of me!" She glares at him as she pushes Azure back. "Don't ever touch me." She straightens her uniform before drawing a violet circle.

"Oh, that's fine little miss perfect. I hope I won't hit your pretty face of yours." Azure holds out his palm and creates ice on his hand. The students look at him that he is holding ice. Luz looks and is getting worried.

"Amity Blight!"

Azure and Amity look to the side, and it was the Abomination teacher standing a few feet away from the table. " I suspected a twinge of jealousy, but this, this is just sad."

Azure stops his magic quickly, but luckily the teacher is only focused on Amity.

"But I‐‐ No! Look at it." Amity points at Luz, who is still playing dead. Luz slid back to the cauldron. "But what about him? He tried to start a fight."

"That's because you're trying to ruin Willow's Abomination," Azure said.

"Report to Principal Bump." The teacher told Amity.

"But-

"Now!" The teacher said sternly as Amity stammers and grumbles before going to the principal's office.

-----

After lunch was finished and Amity, Willow with Gus, and Azure enter the empty abomination classroom while hauling the wheelbarrow. Willow tells Luz the coast is clear. Luz happily emerged out of the cauldron. "Whoo! I'm a sweaty little abomination." She said.

"Should we be concerned about Amity?." Azure said. "I mean, we should be because all she wanted is that stupid badge back."

"Pffft! Nah, we got nothing to worry about her. High five!" Luz held out her hand to Willow and Gus, which both are confused.

"Just slap her hand. It's a gesture of celebration." Azure explained.

Gus stepped forward and closed his eyes before his hand slaps Luz's hand. Gus then opens his eyes and looks at her before slap her hand again. "Oh man, what a rush!"

Suddenly the door opened, and it was Amity. It wasn't just her behind her was the principal. The old dude's skin is light beige, and he has teal eyes with the light, yellow sclera. He wears a red demon on his head covers up half of his face, which gives him the appearance of being consumed by a said demon. He wears a traditional academic dress consisting of a long black gown with a gold yoke, and a black cape, gold trim at the sleeves and cape hem, plus a blue stole draped over his shoulders.

"Good afternoon, students." P. Bump said.

"Principal Bump," Willow said, getting more worried as well as Gus. Luz then acts limp with her knees on the floor. The principal looks at Azure from his round, pointy ears.

"So this is the Halfie, you say?" He asked Amity, which then nods. "Interesting. But I'm not here for him. I'm here to take a look at your abomination, Miss Park."

The principal kneels down and examines by grabbing Luz's face, then turning side to side, making cracking noises. Azure watches nervously and creates an ice sword from behind without anyone noticing.

P. Bump stands up as he commands Luz, "Abomination, rise." Luz obeyed. "Abomination, lie."

"Uhh... viral fame is a worthy pursuit. Your cat would never eat you if it got the chance. Chemtrails are real‐‐

The principal chuckles as he interrupts Luz. "Oh, no, no abomination." Principal Bump said. "How strange for it to get the command wrong. I mean, lie down." He points to the nearest table as Luz went and lies down on her back.

Everyone but Amity and Bump was getting more nervous. "So very lifelike." The principal said. "When Miss Blight told me about your abomination and the Halfie, I had to come by, see what she's made of."

"W-well, I have the list of ingredients right here," Willow said as she searched her pockets, but the principal stopped her.

"No. We were hoping for..." He took out a knife from his robe sleeve. "For a closer look."

"Willow, I'll allow you the first cut." Principle Bump gives Willow the knife.

Willow walks close to Luz. "Uh, you can't just cut open a human, can you?" Luz shook her head.

Azure looks at the cauldrons, then look at Gus. "Psst." Gus looks at Azure. Azure points at the cauldrons. "Try making a distraction," Azure whispered as Gus nods.

"Willow, go ahead and make the first incision." He said, placing his hand on Willow's shoulder.

"Gus, hurry up," Azure mutters.

"Wait, Principal Bump!" Everyone looks at Gus as he nervously said, "Uhh... high five!" Gus said, knocking three cauldrons as the abominations rose and marched towards the principal. "GO! Run!" Gus yelled. Azure takes Luz and Willow and make a run for it.

"They're getting away!" Amity yelled and pointed at them.

"No, the intruders won't get far." Bump said as he walks to the wall draws a big, light green circle, and places it against the wall as red glowing runes and symbols spread like a spider web.

-----

The trio is running through from hallway to hallway and stopped to catch their breath.

"This is all my fault, Willow," Luz said. " I just wanted to see what a real magic school was like."

"Well, how do you like it?" Willow asked.

"Very lovely, actually."

"What about you, Azure?" Willow turns to Azure.

"I guess it was intriguing. But, I think we should keep moving. I'm afraid the principal is going to--

Azure got cut off when the runes and symbols were spread to every doorways, archways, and exit.

"--seal us in." Azure sighed. Azure, Luz, and Willow make a run in another direction. Everywhere they run blocked no matter how they tried.

The barrier keeps blocking their path to escape as another one appeared. "Damn it!" Azure said. They turned around and saw Bump and Amity caught up and using the abomination that Gus tilt over. The principal commands them to catch the student and the intruders.

Azure gets in front of Luz and Willow and creates magic from his palms. He throws his ice sword at the abomination before running towards it. Then grabs the handle and slices it up, turning it back to sludge. Another abomination tries to strike him, but he dodged it, then stabs it in the head. Azure creates another ice sword and slices its limbs. Then, he cuts the head and hits it towards the principal and Amity. The last one attacks Azure, but only to be tripped by his leg and stomped on the head.

Willow and Luz look at him with looks of amazement. Then the trio hides behind the pillar.

"Oh, this is awful." Willow places her hands on her cheeks and leans against the pillar. "I don't know what to do. Amity's right. I'm just Half‐a‐Witch Willow."

"No, you're not. You're a Full-Witch Willow. And you're great. And someone once told me great witches are resourceful." She digs through her pocket and takes out everything she has in it.

"That's it!" Willow grabbed the slime ball from Luz's hands.

"What? That greasy slime ball?" Azure said.

"No. It's a seed. Thank goodness Luz had on her."

Luz then smiled in realization. Azure thought, 'Huh? I guess our teacher isn't that horrible after all.'

"Yeah. Thank goodness someone told me to hold on to it." Luz said.

"Can you make it grow?" Azure asked.

"I'll try." Willow places the seed on her lap and makes a circle. "Please grow!" She commanded before throwing her arms in the air as large thorny vines emerged from the seed as it overgrows the whole school. The vines also pierced every abomination.

The vines also ensnared Principal Bump as he was fling into the ceiling. To his surprise, he looks around the whole area is covered in vines. He has never seen plant magic that powerful.

"Remarkable..." He said with awe. The runes/ barriers suddenly disappear as the exit is now open.

"There's the exit," Luz said as the trio make a run to the exit. Just as they thought they were about to getaway.

"Not so fast!" She said as she aggressively takes off the vine. "I'm not letting you get away so easily. I want my badge!" Amity yelled with anger as she creates more abominations.

Azure stops and takes out his ice and fire sword. "I've had enough of thy crap. All of because for a stupid badge." Azure glared.

"It's NOT stupid! Abomination, seize!" Amity yelled with rage.

One abomination came behind Luz as she punched it in the chest and grabs Willow, and run.

The abominations lift their arms and slam him as Azure shields himself with swords. He pushes them back and slices off one. He runs to another golem and jumps up. Slicing with both swords vertically. He threw his fire sword at another one. The fire sword then blazes as it explodes and scattered sludge.

Azure looks back at Willow and takes the badge off of her cowl. He shows it to Amity. "You want this dumb badge back?" He snapped the badge in half and threw it on the ground. "Take it!" Amity looks down at the badge, now broken, then she glares and growls at Azure.

The exit was a few miles away, but there was an abomination blocking it. Willow creates a big circle as she crosses both her arms as she summons vines trapping the golem.

"You two need to get out of here."

"What? But I am not leaving you." Luz said.

"You have to. I may get detention, but you both will be dissected." Willow says as she struggles.

Azure saw more abominations coming towards them as he nods and grabs Luz as they both ran to the exit. "Willow's right, Luz. We'll be back to find help!" Azure cuts through the vines and finally out.

"What are you doing, Azury?" Luz said, continuously running beside Azure.

"What's it look like I'm doing? Getting us out from that obsessed badge lady and some bum principal."

"But Willow..."

"She'll be fine, Luz. We got someone to help, right?" He said as Luz nods.

-----

They reached the owl house as they saw Eda and King outside.

"EDA!" Luz exclaimed as she came running to hug the witch and the little demon.

"Hey, hey, hey, hey! What is this? Ugh! I never understand when you do this." Eda said. "Also, where've you been? And why are you wearing Hexside's school uniform, Azure?"

"It's kind of a long story," Azure said as he caught up while catching his breath.

"Your lesson worked! Keeping junk in my pocket saved my life!" Then Luz remembered that their friends are at school, fighting off abominations. "Oh yeah! Our new friends! They're in danger."

"Luz! Azure!" They turned around and saw Gus and Willow running towards the owl house. Luz then hugs both of them.

"Seriously, what is that?" Eda asked.

"You won't believe it, Luz. Everything is perfect now!" Willow exclaims excitedly.

"What is?" Azure asked.

"It's true. I don't believe it." Luz smiles.

"Principal Bump was so impressed by my plant work he's switching me to the plant magic track! Look!" Willow snapped her fingers and twirls. Her sleeves and legging are now from pink to green.

"Nice," Azure said with a thumbs up. "So what about Amity?"

"Last we saw, she was asking Bump if today could count as extra credit," Gus answered.

"Oh joy." He rolled his eyes, deadpanned. "Well, I guess everything turned out great in the end. Maybe we'll see you guys in action the next time we sneak in." Azure said as Willow and Gus winced. He turned and looks at them, confused. "What?"

"Uhh... About that. You two are sort of... well... banned." Gus shows Luz smiling and waving while Azure gives out a deadpanned look.

"Banned from school?" Eda asked before smiling at Luz and Azure, "I am so proud of you, kids!" She exclaims.

"But we could come here and teach you what we learned," Willow said, placing her hand on Luz's shoulder.

"Hmm... That would be nice. But you know, I think we got ourselves a great teacher. At first, I didn't believe her teachings would save us, but now I think you did." Azure said as Eda took it by surprise and smiled with pride.

"Yeah, that's right. Luz and Azure are my students. Back off, academy twerps." Eda said, making Luz, Willow, and Gus laugh. Eda gazes on the posters and walks up to both Azure and Luz. "Ah, kids first wanted poster. Good job, kids. Looks like I taught you two something after all." She said, patting Luz's head.

Gus looks between Eda and Luz. "Uh, you high five with your hands, not your head," Gus said.

"Wow... Way to ruin the ending, Gus," Azure sighed and rolled his eyes.

"What ending?"

"I mean, moment."
