Chapter 3
Beauty flew high above me, preparing for battle; The bears backing up, ready to charge full speed into the enemy; And me? Well, I jumped to my feet, pulling out the blade my father, Eden, had passed down to me. The blade in which his father had done the same. This ancient blade has been passed down for centuries, and now, I'm ready to fight.
I quickly pulled the sword out of its sheath as the aggravated beast awoke the whole forest with a singular ferocious growl. It seemed to have brought me more allies awaiting to fight off the vicious monster.
The beast slashed its claws and flashed its teeth in an attempt to scare us off; And might I say I was a bit frightened, for this was the first time I'd encountered such a brute. It had the cold eyes of a killer. From afar it may seem as though we have no chance, but if killing this thing, this... Monster... Meant that I would find my angel, trust me, I would do anything.
Standing on its hind legs, the beast stood ten feet tall, towering over us all. It roared once more before slamming back down on all fours slashing and clawing towards us as we charged.
The bears trampled over the beast as it struggled to stand. Managing to shake off two or three it gained more control, throwing each one to the side and into the trees.
The bears quickly retreated, but I continued on, slaying the beast with one slice of my sword. It dropped to the ground with a yelp, barley being able to pick up its head. Still trying to fight, the cold blooded animal reached out weakly to grab me, but failed as we passed by, moving on to find the lost angel of Silansari.
We marched on through the aisles of pines for what it seemed to be only a few minutes before we were stopped once again. This time instead of a horrid beast we were stopped by an angelic spirit.
The creatures seemed to be mesmerized by her smooth voice as she spoke of ancient prophecies, though, only one part strongly caught my attention. She spoke of an angel from the worlds above who was able to cross over into their universe. This angel was able to summon beasts from a reality far from her own and connect with them like no one could before.
"She fell from the sky in such a graceful way, almost like she knew they were waiting for her. It had been her destiny " The spirit spoke softly.
"Wait who are 'they'?" I worriedly asked.
The spirit continued on, ignoring me in such ways it made even myself forget the question I had asked. "They took her to a cold part of the Asha Caelora. The ceremony is set to take place in 3 days when the sun goes down and the stars burn their brightest."
3 days?! That's all I have to find my angel in this unknown world? I promised her I wouldn't lose hope. I can't give up now. I have to keep going.
(Sorry for the short chapter guys! I'll make up for it in the next one.)
