Chapter 2

I quickly wandered off towards where my Angel had once taken me. To where I first met the dragons. I've been there every day since she left me, yet I haven't seen one dragon since then. Every bird that flies by catches my eye. Every time the wind blows my head jets towards the opposite direction, but every single time there was nothing. It had only been the wind.

I quickly make my way toward the edge of the cliff.  I kneel down to where Cleo had once been, the dragon staring her straight in the eye, still nothing. I poke my head a bit farther until I could clearly see the bottom of the cliff. Something was peaking out, looking back up at me, only this time, instead of purple, she was blue. She had a certain presence to her that seem quite feminine. As I met her green eyes, which had been almost identical to the first dragon I had met, she jumped back, farther into what I assume had to be a cave.

For some odd reason I trusted this creature. I knew she wouldn't let me get hurt, so I jumped. My arms spread out, feeling as though I had been flying myself, until I harshly hit the scaly surface, bringing me back to what I now know as reality. I held on as she soared down to the ground, landing before letting me off. I looked around quickly before I jolted my gaze back to the beauty standing in front of me. She leaned her head down so she was close to my face and my gentle hand reached out to pet her softly. Her eyes closed as I petted her a bit longer, then went on my way.

Night rolled by quickly, so I began to go through my backpack which I had previously packed. I shuffled through all my things, pushing past the nice sword, covered by its sheath. I shuffled through the food and water, finally getting to the thin blue blanket shoved towards the very bottom of the bag. Once settled I drifted off to sleep, looking towards the stars, hoping to one day find my lost angel.

"Yale, be safe." Her soft whisper drifting through my thoughts.

"I will." I whispered back, but there was no response. The darkness quickly turned to light as she stood directly in front of me, taking my face into her hands.

"Find me." She whispered again, before placing a gentle kiss on my lips. Her scent was almost magical. Her hands made there way down to mine, removing her lips, looking into my eyes once more before leaving me once again.

"I promise." I whisper, waking up from the almost too realistic dream.

I quickly hopped up from where I had been laying, realising I wasn't where I had been before. I turned to the side, seeing the motherly dragon by my side. Her color blue was magnificent, I admired as she kept me safe from the outside world for the night.

As the sun shone past the snow covered mountains, the mother dragons eyes fluttered open. She quickly jumped up, startled, possibly by something out in the wild, so I quickly hopped to her aid, gently petting her scales, hoping to calm her.

She kneeled down, which told me she wanted me to hop on, so I did just that. She took me through the flowery forest, looking downwards toward the ground I noticed a pack of animals following behind us. I can't make out what they are, but they look quite small from up here.

The beauty flew closer to the ground, and as we got closer, I noticed that those "small" animals are actually quite large. They are... BEARS?!

The dragon didn't seem to mind,  though the savages continued to speed up, yet Beauty (I had decided I would call her that.) began to slow down.

"Beauty! What are you doing! Go faster girl!" I hollered, but she pushed me off to the side and retreated to the top of a tree. The beasts slowed, walking towards me, surrounding me so I couldn't get away.

Time stood still as my heart began to beat faster, skipping a beat ever so often. The bears continued to close in on me as my breathing began to stop. One of the large creatures bent it's head down to my face, softly sniffing it for some sort of sent. The bear loudly roared towards all of the others as they began to back away slowly. They all began to kneel before me, one bent down far enough for me to jump on. They all sat patiantly waiting until I took the chance and hopped on the roaring bear, which then ran further into the forest.

Smaller creatures began to run with us, like we were all allies fighting on the same side of the war. Birds flew high above us, the bears following their every turn, until suddenly they stopped. We stopped.

Some of the bear flung themselves toward the deathly creature, clawing and biting at the bits of flesh that they could get to before they were flung back in one swing.

The giant, ugly beast that stood before me will soon regret his decision to screw with me.
