Her name was Cleo. She was absolutely perfect. She had this beautiful pink hair. As the wind would whistle, her hair would flow behind her. That's when I discovered she had the most beautiful icy blue eyes. The light had once glistened off of those beautiful eyes as I saw my own in them. I could still feel the touch of her hand against my skin, her eyes staring deep into my soul, her words soothing me into a deep, passionate kiss. Her soft lips against mine was like heaven, but my angel had been taken away.

I bet you've been wondering why I keep talking in past tense, so I'll tell you. I'll tell you the story of how I lost my angel.

*2 weeks ago*

"Hey Yale, I want to show you something." She whispered softly in my ear. Her hand brushed across mine, and our fingers intertwined. She dragged me across the land, and finally she stopped. Once again she came so dangerously close, "Close your eyes." Was all she said. Her wish was my command.

I felt her continue to lead me through this strange place, not being able to see my sense of hearing became greater. Her breath was hard as she slowed to a stop. I was about to open my eyes when I heard a loud shriek. Without knowing where I was headed, I ran towards her, my eyes now open. She was kneeling towards the edge of the cliff as the unknown creature flew towards her. I ushered her to her feet but she refused to move farther than where she was standing already.

"What are you doing? Cleo! We have to go!" I yelled over the sound of it's wings flapping through the air.

"No! Yale, this is what I wanted to show you!" She turned to me with a nice smile, standing on her tiptoes to brush my blonde hair out of my purple tinted eyes. "They're dragons. Aren't they beautiful?" She continued.

"I don't think this is a good idea. Are you sure you should be standing so close to that thing?!" I looked at her, bewildered as I stared into the eyes of a crazy woman.

"It's okay. He isn't that scary once you get to know him!" She defended the beast.

"Get to know him? How often do you come here?" I asked out of curiosity.

"All the time! I've been coming here since I was 3. I wandered off one day and I got to close to the edge. I nearly fell off but he came to save me! That's how we met." She explained so innocently, almost like a child.

"Well..."

"It's okay. You can trust him. Come here!" She turned excitedly to look at me.

I stepped a bit closer "O-okay." I said as I turned towards the... dragon. It was the same color purple as my eyes. It's scales glimmered as sunshine rained down on it. It turned towards me and I suddenly jumped back, not knowing what to expect, but Cleo grabbed my hand, gently placing it on the beasts nose. His green eyes looked into mine, not even the slightest hint of fear.

"Come on!" Cleo hollered towards me, dragging me close to the back of the dragon. She quickly jumped up and pulled me on top in front of her.

"Hey! What are we doing?!" I yelled as the dragon began to fly.

"We are exploring! It'll be fun, just hold on, okay?" She answered as the dragon flew higher and higher before dropping at beyond fast speeds to the ground far below us.

The ground became closer and closer, and as soon as I thought it was over for us it began to fly just barley above the ground. The trees down here were beyond amazing. Nothing like the ones I've seen up there. They are a pinkish color, some purple and some tinted blue. The flowers dangled low towards the ground, and as we soared higher again, the mountains seemed to be as close to the ground as the flowers. I turned around to look at Cleo, who seemed as if she was right at home. A tear slowly dripped down her face, but a smile quickly appeared after.

"Hey, you have to trust me on this, okay?" She almost whispered towards the end. I was getting nervous about what she was going to say, so I just nodded. "I'll be back. I promise you. Just, don't lose hope on me." She finished. At first, I didn't know what she meant, but then, she just fell back.
I trusted her, and I will never lose hope. I promise you this, I will find her.
