Zale's POV:

"Hey that wasn't as painful as mother's transformation." I said with a smile as I climb up the ladder.

I smoothe out the wrinkles from my new black suit that just appear on my body after I stepped out of the water. "And it comes with clothes too!" I add.

Lana was looking at me up and down. I cross my arms over my chest and smirk. "Checking me out princess?" I tease.

She blushes, "No, I thought I saw something on your suit."

"Sureee," I said. I look at her dress that King Triton had gifted to her as she climbed out of the water. What really amazes me was that we stepped out of the water and are completely dry!

She wore a simple dark purple color strapless dress made of tulle. Sleek bodice with a thin glittery silver belt to seperate the bodice from the tulle skirt. Her red hair was drape over her shoulders in waves.

"You look wicked Lana," I say with a smile. Gods she is so beautiful.

"Thats a good thing right?" She asks nervously.

I nod, "Yeah!"

She blushes, "Thank you."

"Zale!" I turn around to see my cousin, Serenia glide toward us. "I never thought I see you in a suit before!"

I look down at her dress. "And I never thought I see you in a dress. Looks like we're both surprise."

Serenia wore a red color strapless dress with a neckline and long tulle skirt that draped over the ship's floor.

She flips back her black hair, that was in curls, over her shoulders. "I look good don't I? Red is my new favorite color. But I swear these heels are gonna be the death of me!" She says pointing down at her feets were black heels peek from her skirt.

"Well then I hope you feel like dancing because a young man is approaching at fast speed right now." I whisper to her.

Her eyes widen and she freezes when the young man tap her on the shoulder. Watching me wearily. She turns around and I watch his eyes widen. Like he was starstruck.

"Yes?" She asks nicely.

"Uh- um.." The young man stammers.

She laughs lightly. "What? Cat got your tongue?"

He smiles, "Would you like to dance, miss?"

"Sure! Though take it easy on me will you? Im not quite use to these legs just yet." She answers.

He nods, "Of course, try to keep up though." He teases. He gestures her to walk before him and I clear my throat to get his attention.

"You hurt her or make any wrong move, I'll make you wish you didn't." I said with a warning in my tone.

He nods, "Not here to have no trouble, mister."

I lighten my stance. "Good, lets keep it that way. Now go show my cousin a good time. But not too much of a good time." I add.

He nods once again before turning around to catch up with Serenia who was already on the dance floor waiting. She looks at me and glares as she sticks her tongue out.

I laugh before turning to Lana. To see a frown on her face. "What? Is there something wrong?"

"The deal you made with Rumplestilskin was that he can rule my family's kingdom if you and your mother pulled your plan off while you too rule Atlantica?" She says slowly but it sounds like a question.

"Oh," was all I said as I scratch behind my head. "Yeah it was."

"And I am disappointed that it didn't go as planned." Said a voice from behind us.

I growl before I turn around to see the greedy annoying man. "Rumplestilskin." I said coldy.

"Fish sticks and your highness," he said with a childish laugh. "Since you didn't hold up your bargain I believe you owe me something."

I swallow, "What do you want? Money?"

He rolls his eyes, "I swear why do people assume you want money when they should know you're already filthy rich! No, no actually I want nothing from you. You're mother has provided me through the years and so I am letting you off the hook. Besides lets just say I knew you wouldn't go through the plan."

He winks and turns his gaze to Lana. "Happy birthday princess. You two enjoy yourselves. And Zale don't tell anyone you got away with breaking a deal with Rumplestilskin or there will be consequences. Good night!" He laughs, he bows to Lana, flicked his wrist and was gone.

I feel my shoulders relax. Thankful that he was gone and I was still left in one piece. I look down at my palm and see the cursive R fade away and it was as if it was never there. "Well glad I can rest easily now." I said.

Lana chuckles nervously. "Lets not to make any deals with that man. Deal?" She holds her hand out and I shook it.

"Deal, now care to dance the night away?" I ask, holding my hand out.

She smiles and takes my head. "I love too."

After dancing to three songs, it was time for Lana to open her gifts and have a talk with her parents about living in Atlantica. While she was over there I realized I had nothing to give her.

Ugh curses! I got to give her something! I shout in my head, searching for anything I can use to make something with my magic.

I look out the ocean trying to get an idea. Then floating in the water, I see the pieces of mother's shell necklace. I walk close to the ship's rail and look around me. Making sure no one was watching as I did my magic.

I chant under my breath, swirling my hand in a slow motion. I watch the pieces come together as a whole and float to me.

I brought it close to me, with my nail I write lightly on the shell, as I finish the words they glowed with gold and is burnt into the shell. I continue writing on the shell, rotating it to continue writing the sentence on its smooth curves.

When I finished I admire my work. Then look around for any sort of string. I smile when I saw a pink ribbon on one gift nicely wrapped.

I pull at the ribbon and it came undone. I mumble under my breathe and the ribbon changes into a string of gold. I held it lightly like it would break if I held it carelessly.

I slip it into the seashell and made a clip to clip the strings together and then I grin at my masterpiece. A seashell necklace with words carved onto its curves.

Hm or I could become a carpenter of some sort. I think to myself.

"Wow thats impressive," said a voice behind me.

I feel myself jump and clutch the seashell necklance to my chest. But relax when I realize it was only Serenia who snuck up behind me. "This? Well yes I believe you are right. Probably the best thing I ever used my magic for."

She steps closer, "Can I see?"

I held it out, "Think she'll like it?"

She smiles, "If she doesn't can I have it?"

I shake my head, "No, its for my significant other not my cousin."

She smiles, "You really love her don't you?"

I blush, "Yes, very much." I said earnestly.

"I never thought I see the day that tough and fearsome Zale will become a lovesick puppy." She tease.

Before I could say anything snappy I heard Lana whisper, "Zale!"

I look behind me and see Lana peeking out from behind a door. She waves me over hurriedly with a mischievous smile.

"I be right back," I tell Serenia without looking at her.

"Take your time, Im going to check out the dessert table." She says before walking away.

"Zale! Hurry up!" I hear Lana whisper and I smile as I made my way to her.

She opens the door wider for me. I slip through and look behind me to make sure no one is watching us sneak away before I close the door.

I turn around and gaze at the quaint room. It was a map room I realized with a large window at the end of the room showing a perfect view of the ocean and sunset.

A table was in the center, neatly stacked with papers and feather pens. A red cushion seat stood behind it. Maps of the globe lined the walls with a couple of framed photos of Ocealan's castle and ocean shore.

I turn back to Lana who waited patiently for me to finish examining the room.

"Nice little hiding place we have here." I say, "Comes with a great view too, the window isn't bad either." I smile as I stare into her stormy eyes, hoping she understand that she is the great view Im talking about.

She bites her lip, looking unsure. She shakes it off and smiles as she steps forward. "Anyway just wanted to have alittle alone time with you without an audience."

I take a step forward to her with my hands behind my back.  "Is that so?"

She nods as she takes another step closer. We were just one feet away. "Yes, unless you like showing everyone how much you love me."

I smile as I took the last step forward. "Well maybe I like showing everyone how much I love you. But you're right, I don't mind having all of you to myself."

I then raised my hand to her face, cupping it in my palm while my other hand snaked behind her and pulled her closer to me.

She raise her head to look up at me. Her eyes twinkle and I gasp as I stare into them.

They were so beautiful and I might have been hallucinating but I swear I could see us dancing in a grand ballroom. She wore a dazzling white dress and crown. I wore a black suit and had a crown of my own sitting atop my head.

The image in her eyes change and I see us with tenacles swimming around in Atlantica. I was playing with a little girl with her own tenacles and had red fiery hair like Lana's. Lana watch as she craddle a baby with silver hair like mine, she laughs as she watches me and the little girl chased each other around her, leaving a trail of bubbles behind us.

"Zale?" Lana asks with concern in her voice. "Is there something wrong?"

I shake my head as I smile down at her. "Nothing is wrong Lana. Nothing at all." I said before I lean into her and kiss her on the lips. I pull her closer to me not wanting to ever let her go.

My eyes open when I remember that I haven't given Lana her necklance. I pull away and dig into my pockets. "You made me forget to give you your gift!"

She laughs softly. "You didn't have to do that." Though out of the corner of my eye I see her looking eager to see what the gift is.

"Its your birthday and you deserve it." I said when I held out my palm with my other hand covering the seashell. "Now feast your eyes on my masterpiece!"

I then uncover my hand, showcasing the seashell necklace like it was a sacrifice.

Lana gasps so faint I thought I imagine it. She slowly takes it away like she is afraid I'll stop her. She holds it like it was the most fragile thing in the world.

"Read what it says." I said with nervousness.

" 'You are the good in the world. I am happy to be apart of it. I love you.' " She smiles and looks up at me. "I love you too."

I feel my heart picked up it pace. I can't believe this is real.

She turns around to let me clip on the necklace for her and I did. I turn her back around to face me. I trace my hand down her face. Feeling her soft skin againist my rough skin. Then I lean down and kissed her once again. Letting her know I'll take care of her and treasure her.
