A Prophecy That I Freak Out About

I woke up to violent shoving.

I realized it Jennifer trying to wake me up. 'Wait a minute' I mumbled. Jennifer then pushed me off my four poster bed.

'OKAY OKAY JEEZ!' I yelled, picking myself up. Jennifer rolled her eyes. I dashed to the bathroom to take a shower, and brushed my teeth.

I had realized I was late. Just now.

I bolted away from the Hufflepuff Dorms, out of the common room, and into the Great Hall. Running from monsters sure does help you a lot.

I sat down in the Hufflepuff table and got a butt-load of blue cookies and coke. Because why not?

Jennifer was already sitting next to Garrick. I heard them conversing about the Ministery.

'Heard there's a new minister—some bloke named Morgan King,' Garrick said.

'Apparently Professor Lupin barely survived during the war,' Jennifer replied.

Garrick grinned. 'Who's Professor Lupin?' I asked.

'Professor Lupin was the third year DADA teacher, he was awesome!' Garrick exclaimed.

Based on the what Garrick and Jennifer were saying—this Professor Lupin seemed like a nice person.

But looks can be  deceiving I worried. The war had taken a serious toll on my health. Here in hogwarts, it was slowly fixing up, but I knew the facade would break soon, and everything would rush out like a broken dam.

I shook off that trail of thought and read the timetable with magic glasses on—couresty of Mcgonagall— it helped me read.

Most of my periods were with the Golden Trio—that's what everyone called them.

The first period was History of Magic, wherein I actually slept for the entire class. Luckily, Professor Binns didn't notice and continuously droned on like a mosquito.

I was cautious because of the fact that a ghost was teaching, but this soon became my favourite class due to the fact it would help give me an extra hour of sleep with literally no interference from Binns.

Garrick snoozed away with me as well, but Jennifer whacked ouyr heads to keep us awake. Garrick called Jennifer a party pooper and was fixated with a fierce glare.

Throughout the day, I learned that Garrick was extremely insecure about his looks. He looked as skinny as a chopstick, and his blonde hair was neat and tidy, his robes were kind of ragged and had an old feel to it.

Draco Malfoy and his goons wouldn't really trouble Hufflepuffs, since we were probably not their "time".

While Gryffindors would be harassed almost constantly by Slytherins. Garrick was wary of them since they had joined Voldemort's forces in the battle.

I still felt that not all were bad. They might have been forced or shaped that way by their parents. It would be practically impossible though, to shift their views. But I was willing to give a shot.

Not everything was black and white.

At lunch, while we were eating, I felt a shift of atmosphere. I straightened up and looked around.

Nothing was different, but why did I feel like this? I continued scanning the hall. I learned to always trust my instincts.

I wondered if this had anything to do with my loss of control last night in the forbidden forest. Just thinking about gave me the chills.

Jennifer saw this and asked, 'What are you doing?'.

Professor Trelawney abruptly stood up from the teachers table. Curious glances were directed at her from everyone, some gave exasperated looks.

Her eyes glowed green and she opened her mouth.

'Child of the sea, beware the sky,'  Trelawney spoke, her voice raspy as if a thousand nails were scratching concrete.

'For he yearns to be with the world'  Professor Trelawney immediately collapses onto the floor, twitching violently.

Professor Sprout grabs Trelawney's prone body and scurries out of the Great Hall.

Soon, the entire Great Hall is alight with furious whispers and chatter.

'Don't worry mate, she's always making bloody prophecies, and hardly any of them make sense!' Garrick says in a placating manner, seeing the absolute horror on my face.

Jennifer catches on and agrees, 'Yeah, don't listen to her'.

I still hadn't calmed down, my head was spinning. I didn't want another prophecy, no more deaths.

Flashbacks exploded into my vision, as if some cruel person had taken a video of my life and hit replay.

Beckendorf, Silena, Luke, it was all my fault. Some more images roughly clouded my vision, doing 18os as if riding skateboards.

A deep and powerful voice taunted me.

'I don't think you understand how many you killed!' The last word had extra emphasis. A feel of hopelessness dawned on me.

And then I saw Camp Half-Blood in flames, demigods getting killed mercilessly by monsters. The vision changed and bolts of sizzling, white hot lightning arched from the sky and struck Camp Jupiter.

The ground shook with such force that buildings lost balance and crashed onto the pavement. Terminus was destroyed beyond belief, and Reyna was ripped into a thousand pieces by man with stark white hair flowing downwards on his back, his shaggy, messy white beard covering his chin reaching up to his neck.

A triumphant fire blazed in his eyes. His visage curled up in a condescending sneer at all the demigods dying and being destroyed.

His form was covered in a bronze cuirass, with steel greaves, and dual, golden vambraces strapped around his forearm, just above his wrist on both arms. They were blindingly bright, his hair was as white as a ghost, his bronze cuirass painted in a deep maroon red.

Behind him, billions of monsters cheered with bloodlusted energy, their gleaming teeth illuminated by the sparks of lightning arching off the white-haired man.

After Percy had passed out, Garrick caught him and gently laid him on his chair. Students who had seen Percy get knocked out by a seemingly invisible force tried to pry, but with a ferocious glare from Garrick and Jennifer, they were repelled.

Most Hufflepuffs saw Percy seemingly faint and they shied away any other students who wanted a peek at him.

He was paraded over to the Hufflepuff dorms, and laid gently on his bed.
