After the surprisingly lovely day at the carnival with Sonia Y/N had a small change of heart just a small change. After getting to know the hedgehog and finding out she wasn't as bad as Eggman says she is Y/N didn't want to fight her to you know.......off her. Instead the fights he had after that were for fun he enjoyed the thrill of fighting Sonia and seeing just how far he can push her limits. she's a nuisance to Eggman but to Y/N she's one hell of a rival Y/N also visited Cream and her mother from time to time and Y/N swore he saw Vanilla blush at him several times........nah she couldn't see Y/N like THAT could she?

Sonia and her friends thought about Y/N the same way unlike his father Y/N was a more honourable person he would wait for the innocent people to leave the area before fighting and if he saw his girlfriends getting injured he would stop the fight and retreat to attend to their wounds he even cared for scratch and grounder not losing his temper with them for every clumsy mistake they make.

Speaking of the two badniks they had gotten interested in Y/N's recent work. He had locked himself in the lab and had not come out all day. Y/N was researching the one chaos emerald he had and began to conduct tests to find a way to use the Emerald's power as his own. Sonia and her friends could use the power of the emeralds so Y/N knew with enough time and patience he would crack the secret of the mystical gems. He had already made good progress Y/N was in the lab with the green emerald floating above his hand Y/N could feel its power slowly coursing through him Y/N was close just a little more work and his greatest project will be a success.

Y/N: Fascinating this gem interests me to no end. How did these emerald obtain their magical powers in the first place? How long have they been on earth for? What type of raw power could the master emerald possess? I have so many questions that I believe in due time will be answered.

Y/N thoughts were interrupted when he heard the hushed voices of scratch and grounded behind the door.

Grounder: Do you hear what he's doing in there?

Scratch: Keep it down before Y/N hears us!

Grounder: I am being quiet!

Scratch: No your not you bucket of bolts!

Y/N: (sigh) These two I swear.

Y/N pressed a button on his wrist and the door opened up and the two fell to the floor.

Grounder: Woaaaah!

Scratch: Ahhhhhh oohhhhh.

Y/N turned around and faced the two looking very agitated.

Y/N: SnoPINGAS usual I see.

Scratch: Us snooping? no not at all!

Grounder: Yeah me neither we were just checking on you to see if you're okay!

Y/N: Of course you were you were defiantly not spying on me and my secret project.

Scratch: Yes exactly we didn't want anything to-

Y/N: I was being sarcastic.

Grounder: Oh.

Scratch: Oh.

Y/N: No matter my work is almost complete just a little longer and I will have learnt everything I need about the chaos emerald then after that I can fight Sonia once again but this time I will have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Scratch: Ohhh tricks I didn't know you were a magician boss!

Grounder: What can you do? Juggling? mind reading?!

Y/N: Oh for the love of all that is holy it's a figure of speech you two I'm not a bloody magician.

Scratch: Awwww.

As Y/N dealt with scratch and grounder's stupidity in one of the many hallways of the ark three battle droids were taking the usual patrols and talking to each other to pass the time.

Battle Droid 1: Urgh my neck getting rusty I can't move it without making a squeaking noise.

Battle Droid 2: Have you tried getting a service in the repair shop yet?

Battle Droid 3: I had the same problem as you until they oiled my neck it feels great.

Battle Droid 1: Really? Well I might do that after our shift is done.

The three continued to go by their day until they came across a black puddle in the middle of the hall. The three checked the puddle the liquid was black they couldn't see their reflection it was like looking directly into a dark abyss.

Battle Droid 1: Ummmm what is this?

Battle Droid 2: Are the pipes leaking again is this oil?

Battle Droid 3: well whatever it is someone needs to clean it up. Give me a minute I'm gonna call a maintenance droid to clean up this mess.

Battle Droid 1: Shouldn't we be concerned about this?

Battle Droid 2: Don't worry it's just a puddle we're safe no one or nothing can sneak onboard the ark without raising the alarm it's fine.

As the third droid went to the speaker on the closed door to call for a cleanup crew the dark liquid on the floor began to bubble and the two other droids took a step back in surprise. The three droids watched as a figure resembling a humanoid hedgehog rose from the liquid and gazed at the droids and slowly began to approach them.

Droid 1: You said we'd be safe back here!

The three droids became fearful of this unknown intruder and the first droid pushed the third aside and quickly got on the speaker to alert his leader.

Droid 2: Come on there's three of us and only one of her.

The figure extends her arm and transforms it into a sharp crystal sword.

Droid 3:............it won't matter.

Y/N suddenly received a call from the doomed droids while he was talking with Scratch and Grounder.

Y/N: You two one moment..........hello what is the meaning of this?

Battle Droid 1: Sir we have an intruder in hallway 5C she doesn't look very friendly.............AHHHHHHH! SLASH!

The call ended suddenly and Y/N was quick to react and sounded the alarm. His voice boomed through the speakers of the ARK gathering the attention of Eggman sage metal and Neo Sonia and Infinetta.

Y/N: ATTENTION AN INTURDER HAS BEEN DETECTED IN HALLWAY 5C THIS IS NOT A DRILL! BATTLE DROIDS REPORT TO HALLWAY 5C AND DETAIN THIS INTRUDER I REPEAT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!

Y/N turned towards the two badniks who were scared of the sudden emergency.

Y/N: You two get the commando droids down there. I was going to wait a bit to iron out any bugs in their systems but this is an emergency.

Scratch: Okay we'll get them down there as soon as we can!

Y/N: Grounder get to Sage and make sure she's safe don't let anything happen to her!

Grounder: Right away boss!

Y/N rushed to the hallway while being guarded by his newly made commando droids. The commando droids are the superiors to the battles droids they move faster and excel in combat they can lead a squad into battle and think strategically to entrap and overpower thier enemy.

Y/N met his father and his girlfriends along the way and mecha sonic quickly stood by Y/N's side as his guardian.

Eggman: An intruder how can this be?! How did this person sneak onto the ark without being noticed?

Y/N: Whoever this person is she's heading our way and leaving a trail of destruction. Infinetta try to create a large cube to trap this intruder.

Infinetta: Right!

Y/N: Neo and metal Sonia you two stick together and team up on the intruder when they're guard is down.

Neo-Sonia: Got it.

Metal Sonia: Will do.

Y/N: Mecha Sonic if this person tries to attack me you will engage them immediately.

Mecha sonic: Affirmative.

Y/N:Dad will have his robots on standby while my commando droids will set their blasters to stun. Keep this person contained I want them alive I want answers as to who they are and how they got here.

Eggman: Let's hope we can stop them before they do too much damage.

The unknown intruder cut through the battle droids up until she reached the vehicle hanger. Y/N was waiting with his commando droids all pointing their weapons at the Intruder. Eggman robots flew around the intruder and battle droids surrounded her from all sides.

Eggman: Whoever you are you've got a lot of nerve attacking us!

Y/N: Alright Intruder who are you state your intentions!

Mephiles:.........oh yes where are my manners? I am mephiles mephiles the dark and I do apologize for the chaos I've caused but your little tin soldiers were in the way of my goal.

Y/N: Goal you say? What is this goal of yours if I may ask?

Mephiles: My leader wishes for me to collect the choas emeralds for him and after abit of searching I found out that there's one right here on the ark in your possession.

Y/N: Oh so you want this do you?

Y/N takes out the chaos emerald from his pockets and reveals it to Mephiles and slowly walks to her.

Mephiles: So you do have it..........the chaos emerald.

Mephiles suddenly releases a burst of dark energy frying the circuits of the badniks and battle droids. Thankfully neo and metal Sonia along with mecha sonic and the Commando droids survived the burst thanks to their advanced systems they were just distorted while Y/N looked unphased. Mephiles charged at Y/N her reaching out for the emerald.

Infinetta: Y/N!

Eggman: SON!

Y/N:.....heh............CHAOS CONTROL!

Y/N teleports behind mephiles who misses her grab by mere moments. Everyone was shocked that Y/N had used chaos control they thought that only Shada could do that........not anymore.

Y/N: Surprised that I could do that? I'll admit it took a while for me to learn that trick but in the end hard work always pays off.

Mephiles: Impressive........for a human to use the chaos emerald you must be very skilled and clever.........and cute. Ithink I'll keep you as a pet.

Y/N: Oh you want me now do you? Well in that case-

Mephiles charges at Y/N once again not taking to notice Mecha Sonic who had activated his boosters.

Y/N: You'll have to go through.........him.

Mecha Sonic boosted up to Mephiles and his foot connected with her jaw sending her crashing into a pile of creates.

Y/N: Mecha sonic it's your time to shine.

Mecha Sonic: Understood.

Mephiles: Tch bring it.

Mephiles floats up and creates countless clones of her which gang up and attack mecha sonic who kicks and punches as many clones as possible. Mecha Sonic activates his heat scanner and brings up his shield for a few moments while firing up his boosters. The clones give off no heat signatures out of the endless swarm only one gave off heat........the real mephiles.

Mecha sonic: Heat signature detected.

In a matter of moments mecha sonic brings his shield down and boosts at mephiles at the speed of sound and knees her in the gut and grabbing her by the head.

Mephiles: ACK!

Mecha sonic: Pacifying.

Mecha sonic slams Mephiles down to the ground her head creating a small crater she quickly dissolved into a puddle and made another where she jumped out and turned her hand into a sword and pierced mecha sonic's chestplate. Mecha sonic pushes her off before she could damage his core and fended her off with his razor sharp claws. Sparks flew as the two clashed metal and neo sonia had recovered from the energy blast from before and while mecha sonic distracted mephiles they were sneaking near the two ready to strike. Mephiles goes to impale mecha sonic but he grabs the sword and shatters it then used his foot to kick her away.

Y/N: NEO METAL NOW!

As mephiles recovered neo and metal sonia delivered a bone breaking kick to mephiles. A chilling crunch was heard from her back and she was sent flying only to be hit full force by a punch delivered by mecha sonic knocking her back. Mephiles tried to stand up but Y/N teleported in front of her and kicked her back to the floor and teleported to his father.

Y/N: Dad.

Eggman took out a gun and fired a tranquillizer that was strong enough to put big the cat to sleep. It dug into Mephiles's neck and it didn't take long for it to take effect.

Y/N: commanders!

The commando droids set their blasters to stun and shot mephiles stunning her over and over until she dropped to the floor unconscious.

Y/N: And finally infinetta.

Infinetta created a large red see though cube around mephiles stopping her from escaping or from trying any tricks.

Y/N: And that is a plan well executed good job everyone.

Eggman: (sigh) I'm glad we've gotten this situation under control who know what could have happened if things escalated futher?

Infinetta: Y/N when did you learn to use chaos control?

Metal Sonia: Yeah why didn't you tell us?

Y/N: I'm sorry but I only got the hang of the technique only recently I just wanted to make sure I had mastered it I apologize for not telling you sooner.

Neo-Sonia: Meh it's okay babe no big deal.

Eggman: Now what are we going to do with her?

Eggman points to Mephiles who was unconscious in the cube.

Y/N: Keep her in there and have the droids guard it 24/7. When she wakes up I will interrogate her and find out where she came from and who ordered her to fetch the chaos emeralds.

Eggman: Very well but make sure she doesn't leave that cube she's done enough damage for one day.

Eggman leaves the hanger and Y/N's girlfriends give him a kiss before leaving and Y/N walks upto the sleeping mephiles.

Y/N: Where did you come from mephiles and who sent you?

( I'm changing fem shadows name because it's not the best name I could have given her so I want to improve her name. What new name should she have and what other fem characters names should I consider changing and should I change mephiles's name or should that stay the same?)
