Nicole

I have another day off and I didn't want to do an anything except spend time with my kids who I haven't spent alot of time with. 

I was getting Marie dressed when Lexi came in her room. 

Lexi: Hey baby. 

I felt a kiss to my temple.

Me: Hey love.

Lexi: Where are yall going?

Me: Well , I haven't been spending time with my babies. So I'm taking them out to eat then to the amusement park. Wanna come?

Lexi: Eh , I would love to , but I have to help Krystal.

I zipped up Marie's diaper bag.

Me: Oh yeah? With what?

Lexi: She's going to pick up a few things for her new loft and wanted my help.

Me: Isn't that a girlfriend's job?

Lexi: Nicole , don't start.

I sighed and slipped Marie's bag on my shoulder and picked her up.

Me: Whatever Lexi. Ever since you've been home , you barely spend anytime with Marie. You spent like one day with her and that's not fair to our baby and you know it.

Marie looked at Lexi.

Marie: Daddy? Please come with us.

Lexi sighed and looked at Marie as she gave her the quivering lip.

Lexi: Okay okay. I'll be 20 minutes then I'll come with my babies.

Lexi kissed our temples and walked out and into our room which was two doors down.

I looked at Marie and smiled.

Marie: Did I do good mommy?

I nodded my head.

Me: You did amazing baby. You made daddy change her mind.

We went downstairs and I placed her bag on the table. Krystal was sitting on the couch reading a book.

Krystal: Hey.

Me: Hey.

I sat my baby on the couch and sat beside her , grabbing my phone. I had a message from a unsaved number.

Hey baby 

Well , I don't know this number.

& whose this ?

Krystal: Well you ladies are looking pretty. Where are you going?

Me: Amusement park with the kids.

Lexi came down fixing her hair that she flat ironed with Ja'Bree infront of her fixing his rolex.

Lexi: Uh Krystal , I'm sorry but we're gonna have to go at another time or later today , depending on the time we come home. We haven't been spending time with our kids lately as a family and we need to.

Krystal: Oh , yeah of course. Is it okay if I take a car out to go house shopping?

Lexi: Yeah , take one of the beemers or mercedes. The keys are in a metal box on the wall in the room and labeled.

Krystal: Okay , have fun.

I smiled at her.

Me: Will do.

Lexi picked up Marie and led us to the garage where we got in the Audi. I showed Lexi , again , ow to buckle Marie into the carseat. We got in the front with Lexi driving.

Ja'Bree: Dad?

Lexi: Yeah?

Ja'Bree: A few days ago , I found a gun in the house.

Lexi shot a look over at me as I mentally cussed her and myself out.

Lexi: Where?

Ja'Bree: It was in this room with a desk. 

Lexi: A desk?

I sighed and put a hand on my forehead.

Me: Your office.

Lexi: Oh right. How did you even get in there?

Ja'Bree: Well I was exploring the house because a house that big has to has some secret passages or rooms or something and I came across that room , so I decided to pick the lock and go in. I got nosier once I saw these funny green stuff in bags on the desk so I opened a drawer and I saw a gun. I picked it up and pulled the trigger nothing came out.

Lexi: Damn it. The room was locked for a reason. You've known this for years. 

Ja'Bree: I know and I'm sorry , dad. I'm just curious.

Lexi: It's okay Ja'Bree but don't ever go back in there without my permission , understand.

Ja'Bree: Yeah dad.

It was quiet except for the radio playing.

Ja'Bree: Mom?

Me: Yep?

Ja'Bree: How come I don't remember my real mom?

You remember when Brittany signed over her rights then said she wanted to see him on Sundays? Yeah well she only came once and never again after that. Ja'Bree was sad and mad and said that he never wanted to see her again. A few months after that , instead of calling me "wicky " he began calling me mom and mommy. I didn't know what to do but Lexi just said to let him since he was so young and if he doesn't ask about his real mom we'll tell him at 16 or 17. So I let him. 

Me: I don't know.

Lexi: Nicole , that's not a good answer.

Me: Sorry , he's just not 16 or 17.

Lexi: But he did ask about his mother.

Damn.

Me: Ja'Bree , how about after the park and when we get home , we'll tell you anything you wanna know about your real mom.

Ja'Bree: Promise?

Lexi: Promise.

Lexi parked and we got out and got the kids out. We began walking to the entrance. Ja'Bree and Marie were infront of us by a foot or two and Lexi and I were behind.

Me: So how's training?

Lexi began training for SRU last Wednesday.

Lexi: It's been good. It's over in two more weeks then I have to take the test and if I pass then I'll be an official SRU officer.

Lexi paid and we all went in.

Me: That's great. You think you gonna pass?

Lexi: Kind of.

I wrapped my arms around her.

Me: Why kinda?

Lexi: I just don't feel like I'm doing right even by yall. Like first I was doing illegal shit and now I might become a fed. 

Me: Well you don't got a record , so that's good. You'll do fine baby. You got us to support you all through. I had to retake the nursing test twice cause I failed the first time , and I passed and I got doubted by a lot of people. Just don't let them get to your head baby. You'll be fine. 

She pecked my lips.

Lexi: What would I do without you?

Me: Be on the wrong track.

Lexi: I love you.

Me: I love you too.

Krystal

I've been texting Nicole's phone in hopes that Lexi will see it. So far I've got an "& whose this ?" and that's all , but that's okay cause all I got is time.

I was about to enter Nicole and Lexi's room to get the keys so I could go shopping.

I walked in and saw the room clean , which kind of took me by surprise. I lowkey expected the room to be messy ( thanks to Nicole ) but it wasn't , so I'm surprised.

I walked over to the dresser and examined the pictures of Lexi and Nicole , Nicole and the kids, Lexi and the kids , the kids and some other people that I don't know. I went inside the huge walk in closet and saw hella shoes. One side side it was femine and the other side it joggers and stuff. So I'm pretty sure we know which side belongs to who. I went to Nicole's side and inspected her shoes. Most of them were high heels but she did have some Converse , Jordan's , Flats , Nike and other brands. I walked out after trying some some of her shoes. We weren't the same size , her foot was smaller then mine. I was only a size 8 but her shoes said a size 7 and a half. I walked out and closed the door behind me. I grabbed the keys and walked out texting Nicole again.

 Hey baby , why you ignoring me ? You wasn't ignoring me when you was in my bed when your girlfriend or whatever she is was away . 

I sent another message right after that one.

 I would answer me unless you want your little girlfriend to find out about us and what we did . That night was something to remember . Well to me anyways .

Like I said , I get what I want and I want Lexi.
