Chapter 7 ~ Breaking The Fourth Wall
^ Dats Infinity, made by DarkCrescentMoon
I hate being sick. It just kinda makes me feel bored about everything. So this chapter was kinda hard to make.
And sorry I'm a few days late 😅 I was looking at when I updated the last chapter, and it said 3 days ago and I was like HOLY CRAP I HAVE A DAY TO WRITE THIS I ONLY HAVE LIKE 200 WORDS DOWN. Then I had a rough climb to finish the chapter.
So anyways, thanks for waiting, and here it is!

I hated being sick.
It wasn't like I was really sick, with all the coughing and feverish things. But I didn't have much energy and I kinda felt useless.
I wasn't allowed to go on the mining expedition, even thought practically everyone else was.
They went in 4 groups of either 4 or 5 people. Jon headed one, Skye another, Mastermind a third, and Gordon did one as well (shocking). They all split up in their teams and went off to find nearby caves.
The rest of us stayed up top. It was me, Jake, Infinity, Abby, and about 10 other pampered people who refused to get their hands dirty.
It had been about an hour since the others left, and I was helping Abby build a small wall around the mountain top to protect us from mobs. She also gave me building tips.
"And if you use slabs, you can cut your block total by half!" She said, placing another stone slab down.
"Because 3 regular blocks equal 6 slabs, right?" I asked.
She nodded. "Yep!"
We were making a two block tall wall that was made out of slabs. It may sound silly, but it was actually pretty cool.
"It's also very open." She continued. "Skeletons can get an arrow in, but it's built around the edge so it would be difficult for them to."
"Right." I placed down another one. Just then, I saw Infinity walk by. I hesitated. I really wanted to talk to her about my dream. It may have been risky, but I needed to. "Hey Abby, can you finish this on your own?"
"Please." She chuckled. "Go on."
I put the slabs away and ran over to Infinity. "Infinity! Wait up!"

~ Infinity's PoV ~
"Infinity! Wait up!"
I turned around. Kat was jogging over to me. Thank Notch. I had no idea where I was going. I was probably going to run into a wall before anyone stopped me.
"Sup." I jerked my head up.
"Sup." She looked around. "Can we go to a private corner?"
I widened my eyes. "Where is this going."
"Nothing bad." She sighed. "At least I don't think so. Just come."
We walked over to a corner. There was one guy there, but I told him to beat it, and he left grumbling.
"What's up?" I asked.
She glanced around again. Then, she spoke in a hushed voice. "I had a dream before, when I was passed out."
She explained to me her dream: me and a guy running in a snow biome, away from someone. Then, I escaped through underground tunnels and the guy left.
When she finished, the color was drained from my face. I tried to open my mouth, but I couldn't speak. How the heck— why... how come she has to get those visions?! Now she has information that she shouldn't know and I gotta answer but I don't think I should. I can't tell her about him. It would be bad.
"Wow." Was all I could say.
"Yeah." She nodded awkwardly. "Got any ideas?"
"On...?" Please not him, please not him.
"Who that guy was?"
Crap.
"And why you guys were running." Kat added. "And who you were running from. And if it was just a dream, or a flashback, or foreshadowing?"
I pretended to think about it.
"I don't remember anything like that." I lied. "So probably a dream."
"Or maybe it's foreshadowing." Then, for a split second, she gave me a suspicious look, like she didn't believe me. "But possibly a dream."
Kat smirked. "Just try not to go into any snow biomes, okay?"
I smirked back. "Okay. Take care." I walked away before she could speak again.
Well that was a bad encounter. At least she didn't press. She probably understood the concept of having secrets and not wanting others to know.
I made my way over to where Gabriel was resting. Kneeling down, I slowly pet his head. A warm fuzzy feeling throughout my body told me that he was awake, but enjoyed the petting, so he decided to pretend to sleep.
Yeah. Heheh. Ummmm I suppose Kat hasn't told you yet about my "power". Well, that's probably because she doesn't know yet. But since I'm allowed to talk, I should probably break the fourth wall and tell you all.
Sooo I can "understand" dogs. Like, I can tell how they feel, how they react to something. They don't really speak to me, and I can't understand when they bark, but I can tell their emotions. I don't think they know I know, though. But I think it's a side affect from— wait haha you can't know yet.
So this will be our little secret.

DAM INFINITY BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH THE FOURTH WALL BREAKING.
Haha okay.
You know what, I'm on a roll with the different PoVs. And I need one of someone in the caves, so heeeeere's Jonny!

~ Jon's PoV ~
Oh okay so Infinity gets to break the fourth wall, but I can't? Nah screw that.
Hello! My name is Jonathan, long for Jon, medium for Jona. My favorite color is neon green, and favorite food is steak. I don't really say much, but I think a lot, so don't expect a small PoV. Well, I should probably get back to the story.
So we left— "we" being 3 people, the conductor and I— and headed south to discover nearby caves. The 3 men with us were quite nervous about the mobs, but I reminded them that they had me to protect them, and caves are common in mountain biomes.
It wasn't long before we found a decent looking one. When we went down, it was loaded with coal and iron. Thankfully no mobs.
"Any light?" I asked.
Some shuffling, and then the conductor held a torch in his hand. It lit up the cave, and he placed it on the wall.
"Thanks." I nodded at him. "What's your name again?"
"Fred." He answered.
"Thanks Freddie."
"No." He said in a serious tone. "Just Fred." He walked away to go mine some coal with his stone pick.
I shrugged and mined some iron with my diamond pick. I loved that pick. It was my main weapon, other than— wait haha. I can't tell yet. Gods, both me and Infinity almost slipped up. Phew. Good thing we didn't, otherwise it would ruin everything.
"Ahem."
I turned around. A well dressed male was standing there looking awkward.
"I never got a pick-axe." He looked at the ground.
I pulled out a stone one. "I always keep a spare."
He grabbed it, mumbled a thanks, and left.
I walked further down the cave, making sure there wasn't any mobs. Instead, the cave dropped down into a circular room with multiple branches. I looked around and saw that there were a few resources, and two zombies roaming around.
"Anything down there?"
Anyone else would've jumped from the sudden sound, but I just turned around. Fred was walking up, and he looked down as well. The zombies heard him, and were walking toward us. But they couldn't reach us, so they were just walking under us, looking for a way up.
"Nothing really." I shook off the thought of going down.
I turned around and walked back, calling out, "How much we got?"
People shuffled about, and called out amounts.
"I got 6."
"7."
"4. And a half."
I sighed. "You can't have half an ore."
"Oh. Then I have 4."
"I got coal!" Fred exclaimed, grinning. He waved his hands in the air, pieces of coal in each.
Ignoring him, I took two seconds to think about it. "So with my 4 pieces, we have 21. That's almost half of what we need, so I think we're good."
"That was easy." Someone shrugged.
They were right. We were only gone for like, 20 minutes? And most of the time was finding the cave, which was a few mountains away.
"Let's head back."

Oh my Notch this was probably the worst chapter ever. I literally had no ideas after Infinity's PoV. Sorry Jon. Yours was a bit boring.
But no worries *jazz hands* next chapter is gonna be fun...? I think. Idk.
Question: What is your favorite Minecraft music disc?
Rock on, my little rebels.
