Despite being granted a chair, I cleared my throat and stood up. "I do have a plan. It's a crazy plan, but I've had many crazy plans before, and they've worked."
"What exactly do you have in mind?" Scarlet said with a bored expression.
I took a deep breath. "We're going to break into the mayor's mansion."
~<>~
"What?" A number of people asked all at once.
Scarlet leaned forward. "Now things have gotten interesting."
"Correct me if I'm wrong." Gordon laughed. "But I heard you say something about breaking into the mayor's mansion?"
I nodded.
"I'm sorry if I'm being rude by asking, but why?" Rein asked.
"Kat." Jake said. "Please don't continue."
"Continue." Yuri looked amused.
I stared at Jake. "I'm sorry Jake." I swept my gaze around the room at everyone. "So we all know that the mayor has some sort of power in Bladville, right? He doesn't have as much as the council, but he does have a lot. I feel like we should use that."
"Are you serious?" Jake muttered.
"Now now." Infinity calmed him. "Everyone deserves to be heard. Unless it's Gordon. Keep going Kat."
Yuri added, "Yes. This is very interesting."
I swallowed. "If we can get in there, I'm thinking of two options. We can either meet in private with the mayor without anyone noticing, and tell him our story. See if he can do something about it. This one is a long shot, but it could work. The second option is sneaking in there and stealing some kind of documents that relate to Herobrine."
"You do realize that's kind of a pointless thing, right?" Skye raised his eyebrows. "I'm not trying to be mean, but there's tons of security. And I don't know if I'd want to risk getting caught for reasons that small."
"Look, I know it's crazy." I knew I was losing everyone. "But I think we could be able to convince the mayor. And if we go with the second option, then we could get a hold of some really good secrets and possibly thwart some plans."
They all looked at me.
"Kat," Abby said, "I know you want to do something, but I don't know if this is wise."
I laughed nervously. "It is. Gordon?"
He shrunk back.
"Infinity?"
She bit her lip. "Maybe not now. We're not ready."
"We're ready!" I exclaimed. I went to Jake finally. "Jake...?"
He sighed, running his hand through his hair. "I agree with the others. It's a decent plan, but we shouldn't do it in our situation."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I didn't expect us to do it right now. I just wanted them to help me plan it out. Did they really expect me to not adapt on it?
And now I felt like a fool in front of everyone.
"Okay." I swallowed my embarrassment. "It was just an idea. It's okay if you guys don't think it would work. I understand." I took a deep breath. "I'm going to go see if I can contact Notch somehow. See if he can help us with the next step." I gave everyone a forced smile, and went to climb up the ladder.

~ Elly's PoV (Ikr) ~
I kind of felt bad seeing Kat walk out like that. But in my defense, it wasn't like we were supposed to accept every idea she gave us without reason. I get that's what friends do, but if it's life or death, I would rather choose the safe route.
After the meeting was awkwardly adjourned, I headed back down the hallway to the intersection. I waited for everyone to walk by.
"Mining again?" Rein asked as she went past.
"Yep." I popped the 'p'.
"Maybe you'll find some diamonds." She grinned.
I sighed. "Please tell me you're joking."
My sister laughed. "Yeah, I am. I may not be as into mining as you are, but I know that those kinds of ores are further down."
"Good job." I patted her head. "Now shoo."
She shrugged and left. I waited until Jona came down the line. "Come 'ere."
"Here I am." He replied.
"Working again?" I asked.
He did a Rein and shrugged. "Sure."
"Perfect." I broke down the wall, revealing another hallway. There were cubbies in the hall where we started mining. It was a project Yuri gave us yesterday. He wanted us to create another room. Neither Jona or I asked what it was about, so we just agreed. There were also a few others that got the job, but we didn't know them.
I walked down the hallway. "Because I'd be bored by myself. I'd start talking to myself like some crazy person."
I turned to see his reaction, but he was gone. I sighed and got out my diamond pickaxe, and started breaking down the wall.
A little while later, I did start getting bored. I went on a walk to go find Jona. He liked to mine in peace, but it was my job to annoy people.
"REEE!" I hopped out from behind the corner. Jona jumped and dropped his pickaxe. He put his hand on his inventory bag as if to take something out of it, but he relaxed when he saw it was me.
"Not cool." He picked up his pick while I was laughing.
I wiped a tear from my eye. "Relax. It's only a joke. I'm not a creeper. Or a creep. That's Yuri's job."
He shook his head, and continued mining.
"How can you see?" I took out a torch and placed it on the wall. The two block wide hallway lit up immediately. "Jeez."
"There's a torch about ten blocks that way, though." Jona frowned.
"I swear you're part bat. You're quiet, and you like the dark. You.. Bat... Man... Thing."
"Bat man thing?"
We both jerked our heads back to where the new voice came from. It was Jazz. He walked down the hallway in deep thought. "Sounds like a superhero."
I snorted. "Just because it ends with "man"? Besides, it sounds dumb. Now if they have a superhero that's big, strong and green..."
(Elly's opinions are from the creator of her character herself. I asked. )
"I'm big and strong." He said.
I heard Jona chuckle behind me. "Wow you are a mini Gordon in a leather jacket."
"I guess I'll take that as a compliment." Jazz pointed at him.
"What are you doing here." I tried my best not to sound rude.
"Scarlet sent me to tell you guys... well actually she shoved me down here... very rudely may I add—"
"Jazz!"
"Okay, geez. There's a new guy here. But still she coul—"
"A new guy?" Jona and I said at the same time.
"Yep. They may or may not have him in a room for interrogation."
"Let's go." I said to Jona. He nodded, and we walked out.
"Okay," Jazz called, "I'll just catch up with you two later!"

~ Kat's PoV ~
I wanted to play good cop bad cop.
Okay wait that's way too far ahead. I need to back up a bit.
So I admit, I didn't try to contact Notch. I went in the training room, hacking away at a dummy. I was glad it was my left side that was bandaged, so I could swing with my right arm. However, I couldn't move too much or it would hurt.
All of a sudden, I felt an annoying pain in my head. I took a step back and rubbed my head. It was like a brain freeze. The same things I used to get when I remembered something.
I looked up, and around. Something was wrong. I could sense it. My godly senses were tingling. Some other kind of cheesy saying.
I walked out of the training room swiftly. When I saw no one around, I bolted down the hallway. It took a while to get there. Finally, I skidded to a stop and walked casually into the main room. A few people were in there that I didn't know, and Scarlet, Skye, Jazz, Ash, Rein, and Infinity. They were taking up two booth things, with Scarlet, Skye and Infinity in one, and Rein, Ash, and Jazz in the other.
"Hi." Jazz waved his hand, with a pokerface.
"Hi." I responded. "This may sound weird, but is anything wrong?"
"Skye keeps flirting with Scarlet, if that counts." Infinity said. She looked bored. Scarlet looked up from her book and nodded in agreement. Skye grinned.
"Other than that, nothing." Rein tossed a crumpled up piece of paper at Jazz's face.
He opened it up, and read it silently. Then, he held it up for me to see. "What is this supposed to mean?" On the paper was the word "Loser".
"It means what it says." Rein answered simply. Jazz crushed the paper and threw it at Ash, who took it to the face with an emotionless reaction.
"Oh." I looked at the ground in thought.
"Why?" Infinity asked.
I shrugged. "I guess I'm just looking for something to do." I lied.
"I feel ya. But hey, you just went on a big mission. Give everyone else a chance." She joked.
I was about to respond, when I heard something behind me. Footsteps.
I immediately drew my sword and swung around, pointing it straight ahead.
... At a guy.
He looked about my age, 16. He had black hair, and piercing dark gray eyes. He was pale and skinny, with some freckles. He wore a dark green shirt with a black sort of vest. He also had black jeans and black shoes. Numerous bands were on their arm, and I spotted ink of a tattoo hiding under their left sleeve. Tattoos were very rare; I wondered how he got it.
"Woah!" Jazz exclaimed.
The stranger just stared at my sword's edge, which was a block away from him, aimed at his chest. He slowly put his hands up.
"Who are you." I exhaled. I didn't ask it as a question, since he was going to answer whether he liked it or not.
"My name is J. Pronounced Jay." He said slowly. "I came to join you guys."
(No I didn't steal the name from you, Tood.) ( ≖—≖ )
"How did you find this place." Scarlet said from behind me, getting up.
"Not sure if I should tell." He smirked.
I stepped forward so my sword point was poking his chest. "I suggest you do."
"Who is this?"
Yuri walked up from behind me. His eyes were narrowed, and his hands were behind his back. He warily sized up J.
"This guy just came in here and said he wanted to join." Ash informed him.
"My name is J." J said calmly.
"Kat, put your weapon down." Yuri tapped my sword. I reluctantly lowered it. He turned back to the newcomer. "We will take you to the interrogation room. And you will answer our questions."
J simply shrugged.

I wanted to play good cop bad cop.
However, Yuri went in the room alone with J. So the rest of us, adding the rest of the group, waited out in the stone hallway. The iron door to the small room was even item framed so we couldn't see inside. However, the frame was thin, so I could have possibly been able to listen in if I was close enough.
I shimmied along the wall, inching closer to the door.
"Watcha doing." Jake asked innocently.
"Noothiing..." I responded. When I got close to the door, I looked at everyone. They were either distracted or didn't care about what I was doing. I pressed the side of my head against the door. I could barely hear what they were saying.
"You definitely are not an ordinary boy." Yuri said.
"Never said I was."
"You haven't answered many of my questions."
"Because I don't trust you completely."
"Ditto to that."
I heard footsteps, and straightened up and walked back to where I was before. Scarlet shook her head at me.
The door opened. Yuri poked his head out. "Kat and Scarlet. I'll need you two in here."
I looked back at Jake. He decided to protest, as I had thought. "Why can't anyone else come in?"
"We don't want too many people. Three will be fine. Including myself, of course."
"I'll be fine." I gave Jake a reassuring smile.
"I know you will. I just don't want to be stuck out here with my sister." He smiled back.
"I heard that!"
I laughed, and walked into the room. It was all stone brick, with a single chair behind a stone table. J was sitting in the chair.
"Good cop bad cop?" I muttered to Scarlet. She responded with a glare, so I suspected it was a no.
"J." Yuri said. "Tell them what you told me."
J didn't say anything at first. Then, he spoke with a straight face. "I came alone. I am weaponless."
Silence.
"That's it?" I asked.
"He didn't answer much." Yuri rubbed his head.
Scarlet leaned down so she was at eye level. She stared into his for a count of 10 seconds. Finally, she stood straight up. "You're 16. You have been a loner for a while. And you're lying about being weaponless."
I immediately drew my sword in case he was going to draw his.
However, he just chuckled. "You're good. Here." He took out a simple stone sword. It looked worn down. He set it on the table. "Take it."
Scarlet grabbed it and handed it to me. I handed it to Yuri, who just sighed.
"Now tell us how you found us." She said.
J stayed silent.
Scarlet slammed her fist on the table. Well I guess she was the bad cop.
"You're not being very nice." He said. "Maybe I'll cooperate if you ask nicely."
She pressed her lips together in anger, but I put a hand on her shoulder. Instead of saying anything, she shrugged it off and took a step back.
I took the opportunity to be the good cop, even though I wanted to be the bad cop. I stood in front of J. "Hi. I'm Kat."
"I know." A smile tugged at his lips.
"Okay," I said slowly, "so we're all nice people down here. And you just kinda showed up out of nowhere; it's pretty suspicious. You can't blame us for being cautious."
He tilted his head. "I guess."
"So will you cooperate and answer our questions?"
"I guess."
I exhaled. "Where did you come from?"
He thought about it. "I travel around. Just came to Bladeville a few weeks ago."
"You said you were alone." Yuri jumped in. "Do you have a family?"
J tensed up. "No."
"Don't want to talk about it. That's okay." I nodded. "Where'd you stay?"
"Is this really relevant?" Scarlet grumbled. I shot her a look.
"In a small hotel. Cheap." He answered.
Leading up to the question. "How did you know about us?"
"My friend told me a story about a resistance against Herobrine in Bladville. That's kinda why I came. To find you guys."
"What's your friend's name?" Yuri asked.
J coughed. "He is going to stay anonymous for his own sake."
I pursed my lips. "Okay." Finally the question. "So how's you get here?"
J looked at each one of us for a long time before speaking. "I was in the crowd near the alley you guys disappeared in, on the day of the parade. I didn't see how you disappeared, like the police, but unlike the idiot authorities, I remembered which alley it was."
"They didn't remember?" Yuri snorted. "They really got worse."
"They had it narrowed down to a few. Anyways, most days I'd come back and check for the entrance. Yesterday, I finally found it. But since it was late, I decided to delay the exploration until today."
His story seemed believable. But the way it rolled off his tongue like he practiced it, it just didn't seem real.
"Why did you want to join us?" I asked.
He swallowed. "Herobrine killed my family indirectly. I want revenge. I want to join the people who will fight against him."
I looked into his eyes. They were lighter than before, maybe even more emotional.
Then, I said the three words that changed the Rebels.
"I believe you."

~ 3rd person PoV ~
~ 2 days earlier... ~
Herobrine twitched on his throne. His emotions were getting out of hand. He was getting angrier, more out of control.
"Ghost is failing me." He said out loud, despite no one being in the room. "Did you get the other boy?"
"Yes."
General Enderman teleported, kneeling. "He is waiting in the dungeon for you. Shall I bring him?"
With a sharp nod, the Enderman disappeared.
"Blaze." Herobrine snapped.
The servant appeared through the lavafall, looking scared as usual. "Yes my lord?"
"Any updates on the cave spiders?"
Blaze's eyes widened. It wasn't his duty to know about the updates. But he didn't want to disappoint the god. He tried to gather up the gossip he heard in the servants' quarters. "They have agreed to join you, after their leader was threatened."
"Good, good." Herobrine closed his eyes. The news should've given him some kind of... oh, what did he expect? Happiness?
"Maybe it's because I've been on this throne for a while." He muttered. "I need to get out. It has been a while since I've destroyed a village. Hasn't it?"
"Yes, it has." Blaze swallowed.
"You are dismissed."
The fiery mob left the room as quickly as possible.
A minute later, a knock was on the door.
"Come in." Herobrine said, already knowing who it was.
General Enderman walked in, with a young boy in tow. He walked freely, looking around.
"Kneel." The General shoved the boy to his knee. "Show respect."
"Now now. It's all okay, General Enderman." Herobrine chuckled. His smile faded into a serious expression. "I hear you are good with your work."
The boy was usually a person who wasn't afraid in the face of danger. However, he was never face to face with Herobrine. "Yes."
"Quick and cheap too. Yet so young." Herobrine tutted. "I wonder who was good enough to train a child to kill."
He flinched at the word 'kill'.
"I have a job for you." Herobrine took a few minutes to explain the task. Afterward, he paused for a second. "Do you have that all remembered?"
The boy wondered why Herobrine couldn't do it himself. If a god couldn't do it, how could he?
Nevertheless, he said nothing about that. "... Yes."
"Good. Do you need supplies?" Herobrine asked.
He thought about it. "A way to get to the city quickly. Also, a single stone sword. Partially broken."
That made Herobrine curious. He did not say anything, however. "Very well. Your requests shall be granted. If you succeed, you will also be paid handsomely. The quicker you are, the more you get."
He nodded. "I will do my best."
"No. You will do what I told you to do. There will be no 'trying your best'. Is that clear?"
"Yes." For once in the meeting, the boy lifted his head. His dark gray eyes glittered mischievously. He smiled, got up, and wiped off his green shirt and black vest. "It will be done."

Lol Kat got shut down in the beginning. Wonder what's gonna happen with that
J: Dedenne14's character.
:0
So J is doing something for Herobrine. It's really obvious what it is tbh.
Also for your information, I was going to upload before with this completely different, but then I decided to add Dedenne14's character in this chapter, so I redid half of it.
Question: Yo who do you want me to draw
I'm tired.
Rock on, my little rebels.
