~ Kat's PoV ~

As Gordon dragged Abby away (she actually was smiling), Infinity turned to us. "Your turn."

I looked around. "To....?"

"Go on." She shooed us.

"Infinity..." Jake warned her.

I sighed, took off the cloth around my mouth, and gazed at the carnival. It looked so fun. And if Infinity wanted Jake and I to explore it together, I shouldn't let that stop me from enjoying the time.

Mimicking Gordon, I said, "Come on!" I grinned, grabbed his hand, and walked forward.

"Uhh..." He said from behind me, but I ignored him.

"Go get em, Kake!" Infinity shouted. Again, ignored.

I let go of Jake's hand and ran to the beginning of the path. I admired everything as Jake caught up.

"What should we do first?" I asked excitedly.

He looked around as well. "Up to you."

"Have you been to one of these things before?"

"When I was a little kid." Jake smiled at the thought. "I always loved the rollercoasters the most."

"Let's do that first." I narrowed my eyes, trying to find a good looking one. Then, I spotted a water themed one with a big drop. I grinned again. "Let's go to that one!"

"The Soaring Squid." Jake frowned as we walked to it. "Who comes up with these names?"

"The label doesn't matter." I shook my head. We walked to the line. "What matters is how much you scream at the drop."

"I am fearless." He smirked.

I snorted. "I could probably get a lot of dirt on you from Infinity."

His eyes widened. "Please don't."

"Heheheh." I laughed evilly.

When we were finally at the front of the line, I had to restrain Jake from beating up a little girl that had cut in front of us. It was actually really hilarious. Until she told me to get a hold of my boyfriend. Then it was Jake who had to hold me back.

Finally, the ride ended for the people before us and they got off. As they left, we all got onto the track and hopped into the minecarts. There were 10 pairs of 2, and Jake and I got into the last two at the very end.

After everyone got situated, the ride started.

~ Mastermind's PoV (IKR) ~

"You nerds can go do your own thing." Infinity told Jona, Skye and I. She started walking backwards toward the assortment of rides and booths. "Unless any of you want to be shipped."

"We're good." We all said quickly.

She smirked and ran away.

I looked at the guys. "So you guys wanna do something?"

"Something would be nice." Skye shrugged.

Jona nodded. "Indeed."

We stood around awkwardly. Then, I clapped once. "Alright. Good talk so far. You guys like booth games?"

"They're cool." Jona decided.

"Shall we go play some?" Skye reached his bent arms out to the both of us.

I looped mine through his one, as did Jona with the other. "We shall."

All thinking the same thing, we skipped to the carnival.

After about a full minute of just skipping, we stopped in the middle of the path. There was a lot going on, with all the people walking and talking and playing games, the rides in the background, some old man singing from somewhere. I could barely calculate it all.

And before you think to ask, no, no parts of my body hurt. And no I will not tell how I became a cyborg. I will only tell if it's my last few breaths.

"Check out this one." Skye waved us over. The booth was headed by a young man. It was one of those ones where you knock down the bottles. The whole thing was made of yellow wool and oak planks. There was a stack of 6 empty glass bottles on a table near the back.

"Wanna try this one out, fellas?" The man asked.

"Sure." I said.

"Two nuggets."

"I thought this was all free." Jona whispered to me.

I whispered back, "I did too." Nevertheless, I paid the man. "So who wants to go?"

"I will." Skye accepted a (cube) ball from him.

"Ya got three tries." He informed Skye.

"Gotcha." Skye did his stance, took aim, and threw the first ball. It hit a bit above the second layer, and knocked down the upper 3.

"Noice job." Jona told him.

"Thanks fam." Skye accepted another ball. He stared at the three bottles still up, and threw. The ball smashed through in between the middle one and the one on the right. One left.

"Last try." The guy had a sly smile on. A suspicious smile. Wait a second.

"Wait a second." I halted Skye.

I enhanced my vision of my one eye and zoomed in on the last bottle. More importantly on the bottom of it. And I spotted something very interesting.

"Skye, can I have this last one?" I asked, holding my hand out.

He frowned, giving me a look.

"Trust me." I mouthed, glancing over at the guy.

Skye nodded and handed me the ball.

I brought back my arm, and gave a last second one-sided smile before I threw it with all my might.

The ball sailed through the air for a split second before it shattered the bottle and hit the back wall. The only part that remained on the bottle was the bottom, clearly stuck on the table.

The booth manager's jaw dropped.

"It was rigged!" Skye exclaimed. He walked closer to the dude, looking mad.

"Cool it." Jona said. "We won."

"H-here's your prize..." The man grabbed a prize off the top— a stuffed animal pig.

"A little porkers!" I grabbed it and we walked away, giving the guy a dirty look behind our back.

I gave the animal to Skye. "Here, you did most of the work."

"But without you, we would've felt the wrath of that cheapskate." He pushed it back toward me.

"Just take it, man."

"I'll take it." Jona raised his hand. Skye took it from me and tossed it to Jona, who grinned immediately.

~ Gordon's PoV ~

Abby wanted to immediately go to the stage. She knew it was the Ballistic Builders building area. So, being a good friend, we went there first.

It was a massive stage. The birch planks floor was elevated two blocks, with a coal block background. The frame was lined with glowstone and sea lanterns.

There was also a small crowd on the stage. 10 people, a mixture of male and female, all in the same blue suits as that guy Nick from before. They were standing around, occasionally turning to smile at the crowd.

We managed to get to the front row of the big audience. Abby was grinning as she looked at the Ballistic Builders, and I smiled at her happiness.

"There's Brenda!" She whisper-shouted. "And Michael! And Nick!" She turned to me. "He's my favorite. He's the redstoner in the group, and the leader."

"I'm a redstoner." I frowned, but she didn't hear me.

"Hello everyone!" A guy in his early 20s stepped forward. He had blond hair, blue eyes, and looked like every typical girl's dream guy.

(He looks like this, but in block form)

(And can I say that I enjoyed looking up a picture of blond hair blue eyed boys. Not that they're my dream guy. But still)

"I'm Nick, the supposed leader of the Ballistic Builders!" He chuckled. "Though we don't really have a technical leader. We all have our part, we're all equal."

"Get on with it, Nick." One of the girls laughed.

"Hey now." He laughed again. Ugh. I didn't like him. "Anyways, we had the great honor of building this hopefully wonderful carnival; in less than a day I must add."

I huffed and muttered, "No one can build that fast."

"Ah, a non believer?" Nick smiled at me. How did he hear me?! "Well, let us show you how fast we can be." He stepped up and spread his arms. "Can we get a volunteer to give us an idea of what to build?"

"A mansion!" Someone shouted.

"Too big." Nick shook his head.

"A rollercoaster!"

Nick frowned and gestured around. "There are rollercoasters literally everywhere..."

"A statue!"

He thought for a second. "Of?"

A lot of suggestions were said, but someone shouted, "Baby cow!"

Nick clapped his hands. "Yes!"

He motioned for the builders to huddle up. They discussed for a count of 10 seconds, and diverged.

"Someone time this." Nick grinned. "In 3...2...1... Go!"

They all ran to chests I didn't see on the side. In 3 seconds, they got the supplies and started building.

I could barely see what was happening. They were placing down wool and clay as fast as lightning.

Before I could think a second thought, Nick yelled, "done!"

They had indeed built a giant baby cow. It almost reached the roof of the stage, and had many details with wool and crap that I didn't feel like looking at.

"24 seconds!" Someone called out.

"New record!" One of the builders shouted, and they all high-fived each other.

"No way." I stage-whispered.

Abby's reaction was the opposite. "Awesome!"

They allowed the crowd to admire the statue for a little bit, and then destroyed it in half the time. I didn't see the big deal actually. They could place blocks fast. Whoopdie do.

For the next 20 minutes, we were just watching them take suggestions and show off.

At a point, Nick asked for more suggestions. People yelled out different builds, but he was still searching.

Then, he spotted Abby, and kept eye contact with her. He smiled, and walked over to the edge of the stage to her.

"Hi." He said casually.

"H-hi." Abby looked amazed.

"What's your name?" Nick knelt down.

"... Abby." She hesitated, clearly starstruck.

He smiled wider. "Pretty name for a pretty girl."

"Thanks." She smiled back.

Well that's annoying.

"I'm Gordon." I interrupted them, forcing a smile.

Nick acknowledged me, giving me a nod. Then he turned his attention back to Abby. "Got any ideas for us? What do you like."

I already knew what she was going to say. Fountains. She loves them.

"I do love fountains." She said shyly.

Yep.

"That's a great idea!" Nick grinned. He turned back to his group. "We're gonna build the best fountain for Abby."

The crowd cheered for the fiftieth time, and the team went to huddle. Then, they ran to the chests and started building.

Abby gazed with a look on her face that I didn't approve of.

"Done!" Nick said.

They certainly went all out. The fountain had four layers, with intricate stair and slab designs. I didn't even know how they made the water spray upward.

"Do you approve?" Nick crossed his arms and smirked at Abby.

She nodded quickly. "Yo— I mean it, looks amazing!"

I nudged her and she narrowed her eyes at me.

~ Jake's PoV ~

"I told you you'd be afraid." Kat laughed.

"I was not!"

"The picture says otherwise." She showed me (yet again) the picture that the rollercoaster somehow took at the big fall. She was laughing with her eyes closed (at least, the one. Her bangs didn't move one inch so we've never seen her other eye), but my eyes were wide open and my mouth was as well in a weird looking way.

"I... was mid sneeze." I made an excuse.

"Mhm. 'Mid sneeze.' Good excuse." She laughed again. "You look adorable."

That comment made my heart skip a beat. She seemed really joyful at the moment.

"Where to now?" Kat asked.

"Hmmm..." I thought. "You choose."

She stuck her tongue out at me, then looked around. "Umm, let's walk further down."

"Okay." We started down the walkway, avoiding groups of people. The whole thing was pretty cool, especially with the crisp night air. They certainly planned this well. If only they did it earlier, so we could have more time. But hey, it was only the start of the night.

"Right there!" She pointed to the end of the path, where it turned into an intersection with a path on the left and right. Stretched out on the other side was what looking like a single target range. Someone was shooting a bow, trying to hit the target.

"Of course." I chuckled.

She grabbed my hand (again) and dragged me forward. I managed to regain my footing and we ran to the place.

When we got there, the last guy was just leaving so we were next. I also got a better view. It was a 3 by 15 fenced off area, with a redstone lamp target near the far end, and a table near us full of stuffed animals, bands, etc. Glowstone were at the corners to light it up.

"Hi." The blonde lady who was running it said.

"Hello." Kat said back. She then looked at me. "You gonna be doing it?"

I shook my head. "Nah."

"Party pooper."

"That'll be a gold nugget." She held out her hand.

Son of a creeper. I didn't have any money on me. And I doubted Kat did.

"Ummmm...." Kat searched her inventory, then pulled something out. A diamond. "Will this suffice?"

The woman's eyes widened. "Um, uh, yeah! Yeah sure! More than one payment actually!"

"This can pay for the next few people then." Kat smiled.

I got close to Kat and whispered, "Are you sure?"

She looked me in the eye and set the diamond on the lady's hand.

She's too nice.

The woman handed Kat an enchanted bow—probably with infinity I— and an arrow. "I guess I misjudged you." She said quietly.

"What?" Kat asked.

"Nothing."

Kat shrugged and notched the arrow. She took aim, and shot the wooden button on the redstone lamp easily. It lit up, signifying her win.

"Round two." The lady pressed a button on the ground with her foot. The target began to move slowly.

Kat smirked as an arrow shimmered to life in her hand. She notched the arrow and shot it without thinking for a second. The arrow barely made it onto the button, meeting up with its brother.

The woman nodded, impressed. "Round three." She pressed the button again. "Last round." The target began to move faster.

"Hmmm." Kat pointed the renewed arrow at the target, then notched it. She took a few seconds to aim, then fired.

The arrow soared through the air and sank in the target. In the middle of the button.

"Woo hoo!" I cheered. We high-fived as the lady clicked the button twice again. The target stopped moving.

"Good job." She walked over to the table. "Now choose your prize."

"Hmmm..." Kat studied the items on the table. She then smiled and picked up a stuffed animal chicken. "Dis."

"Good choice." The woman said. She then looked around and whispered to us. "Thanks for the diamond. You can choose something else if you'd like."

"Oh really." Kat grinned, eyeing something. She grabbed it. A creeper visor. She placed it on my head. "Tada!"

I gave her a terrible expression, which made her burst out in laughter. The lady chuckled with her.

"N-nice look." Kat wiped a tear away.

"Thanks."

~ Abby's PoV ~

"I can't believe you just did that."

"It's not my fault!"

"Yes. It was." I turned my back on him.

Gordon huffed. "He shouldn't have ducked. My fist could've gave his face a friendly hug, but noooo."

"You shouldn't have challenged him to a redstone off."

"How was I supposed to know he could make a redstone beacon?"

I threw my hands in the air. "Why did you challenge him in the first place?!"

He made a fool out of himself when he clearly lost. Then he claimed Nick cheated, and tried to punch him. When the Ballistic Builders kicked him off the stage, he trudged to the only nature part of the park. I did however manage to apologize to Nick, saying it was his mood swings.

But can I back up and say that Nick is hot. And I couldn't believe he noticed me!

"I didn't like the way he was looking at you." Gordon said, glaring at the water. We were on the bridge, and it looked cool in the dark with sea lanterns placed in the water carefully, and glowstone lighting up the bridge.

"That's it?" I placed my hands on my hips (shhh they have hips). "You did all that because a guy was being nice to me?"

He snorted. "Clearly he was flirting."

"You flirt with me all the time!"

"But I actually know you." Gordon said. "He only flirted with you because you're..."

"I'm what?" I crossed my arms.

"You're beautiful." Gordon took a deep breath.

Why was it so hard for him to say it that time? He did it all the time!

"But I care about what's deeper." He muttered.

I sighed. This was difficult. "I'm allowed to have other guys like me. You aren't my parent."

He turned away and said something, but I couldn't hear.

"What?" I leaned closer.

I expected some annoying remark, but nothing.

"What did you say?" I asked.

Instead, he turned around, lifted my chin, and kissed me.

I wanted to jerk my head back. I wanted to push him away. I wanted to punch him in the face. But instead, I kissed him back.

I didn't know what I was doing, but I closed my eyes and felt butterflies in my stomach.

Wait.

Hold on a second.

No.

I couldn't.

I pulled away and looked at his pokerface expression for a few seconds.

Then, I turned around and ran away.

I SHIGGLED SO HARD AT THE LAST PART.

*takes a few deep breathes*

Okay. Phew. I'm good.

I have no idea what I'm gonna do next tbh •—•

Oh welp.

Question: How do you feel about Nick? Do you like him; hate him? Do you think I have plans for him?

Rock on, my little rebels.
