Chapter 13 ~ Budder Pajamas Rule
I do have a drawing of Abby and Gordon, but I left it at home. I'm uploading this at school >~< finals are today, but that isn't stopping me from updating.
Okay back to the story.

But it was expensive food. And an expensive hotel. Maybe Infinity was right— we should've had Jane pay for the nights as well.
When we walked in, the hotel was kind of plain. To the left was a seating area, to the right was an old dude chilling behind a counter, and toward the back was another room that led to a dining area. People were in the lobby milling about. There were paintings on the walls, 'Lost Pet' signs by the check-in place, and bushes separating the chilling area and the elevators.
"We should go check in." Jake said. "Infinity and I can. You guys just... mingle."
"I don't like people." Jona whispered.
"That's rude." Skye whispered back.
"I know."
As Jake and Infinity walked away, we all went to the couches and chairs. There weren't many, so Skye and Mastermind stood.
"So..." I said after a few awkward seconds of silence. "Has anyone wondered why there isn't anything round in the world?"
Everyone frowned, trying to think.
"What do you mean round?" Abby asked.
"Like, no rough edges. And it's bent so it's like smooth and stuff." It was hard to explain.
"Why would we need anything like that?" Skye tilted his head.
I shrugged. "I dunno. Just wondering."
In my head, I could picture a 'round' shape that was infinitely curving around and around. But I guess it was too weird to talk about.
"Literally almost wiped us clean." Infinity said, which made me jolt. Her and Jake were holding two levers in their hands.
"Special ones." Jake told me, seeing that I was eyeing them. "Can only open one room."
"Neato." I got up, as well as Jona, Gordon, and Abby. Skye and Mastermind just walked closer.
"So we got a room for Kat, Infinity, Abby, and Skye, and a room for me, Jona, Gordon, and Mastermind." Jake explained.
"Did you just call me a girl?" Skye raised an eyebrow.
Jake smirked. "Maybe." Then he laughed. "I'm kidding. You come with us man."
"Good."

The rooms were quite roomy. It opened to an area with a couch, a chair, table, and tv (seriously, this place is advanced). There was a corner that had a table and chairs around it, and the back wall was a window with a beautiful view of a brick wall. A door opened to a room which had four beds, two on one side and two on the other. This time, we got a window with a glimpse of the park.
"Decent." I nodded, looking around at the dark oak walls. Little too dark, but oh well.
"Walls could be a bit brighter." Abby read my thoughts.
"Well, we'd better get used to it." Infinity jumped on a bed and laid down. "We're gonna be here for... a few days? A week? How long are we even staying here?"
I sat down on another bed. "However long it takes for them to decide."
"This whole thing seems ridiculous." Abby said, frustrated. "Why would they choose Herobrine?"
"He's got a good chance of winning." I answered.
"So they're all wimps."
"Pretty much." Infinity started whistling.
A knock was on our room door.
"Come in!" I yelled.
"We have predicament!" Gordon exclaimed, walking into the room.
"What? Mobs? Angry people? Did little Jimmy fall down the well?" I asked quickly.
"Worse. There's—"
"There are only four beds." Jona cut him off.
"And five of us." Skye frowned.
Infinity clapped. "You know math!"
"I'm not sleeping with anyone." Mastermind shook his head.
"Yeah, sorry Jona but I can't sleep with you." Skye winced. "I sleep punch."
"Sleep punch?" Abby raised her eyebrows.
"Punch in my sleep." Skye explained.
"I like you." Infinity pointed at him.
I sighed. "Can't one of you sleep on the couch?"
"It's a rough couch." Gordon whined.
"Man up!" Abby sighed dramatically.
We started to discuss sleeping arrangements. No one wanted to sleep with each other, no one wanted to sleep on the couch or floor. Gordon actually suggested that they rent another room, so Infinity naturally punched him in the arm.
Finally, Jake stopped us all. "Alright! Alright! I'll sleep on the couch. Oh my Notch, you guys are babies."
"Baby?" Mastermind scoffed. "I am no baby."
"Then you sleep on the couch." Jake crossed his arms, smirking.
Mastermind hesitated. "On second thought, I do like nap time."
"Same." Infinity raised her hand.
"Same." I raised mine.
"Jakey, you are my hero." Gordon hugged him.
"Yeah, yeah." Jake rolled his eyes.
"So we have food now?" I was still hungry.
"Food now." Jona nodded.
Little did we know how expensive the food would be.

I woke up to the sound of the noteblocks ringing. Groaning, I tried to turn over and go back to sleep. It was another dreamless night full of tossing and turning, only with about two hours of sleep. I've been getting those nights a lot more lately.
"WAKEY WAKEY SKYYYYY!"
The loud yell make me jerk my head up. Footsteps hit the ground, coming closer down the hall, and my bedroom door opened. Ty was standing there, looking very excited and wide awake.
I blinked my eyes a few times, trying to wake up. I didn't want to look tired in front of my friends and fellow council members. "Sup."
"Guess what?!" He said, grinning and attempting to not bounce up and down. He had something behind his back.
"Judging by how excited you are, and that you're holding something behind your back, the elytra is ready." He was so looking forward to Notch using his godly powers to create the elytra ever since the god came back a few days ago.
"The elytra is ready!" Ty revealed what he was holding. A pair of silver wings with a small harness on them.
(Elytras were released in 1.9. Just wings pretty much. They are really fun, so I thought why not add them to the story?)
"That's it?" I asked. It honestly looked a little dangerous, and not as impressive as I had hoped.
"'That's it?'" He exclaimed. "'That's it?' These were handcrafted by Notch for— er, Notch's sake! He made it super easy to maneuver, but difficult to fall out of. These bad boys are the future!"
I got out of bed, chuckling. "You're right, you're right."
Ty looked at my pajamas and snickered. "Still wearing budder pajamas, eh?"
I looked down at my pajamas— gray with budder ingots all over— and gasped. "What's wrong with them?!"
"Nothing. Budder pajamas rule." He chuckled. "So wanna try these out with me? I woke up extra early so I can be the first council member to try them out. I grabbed an extra pair for you."
"You da best." We fist bumped. "Now leave so I can change."
"Whatever." He threw his hands up in the air and walked out, shutting the door."

"Notch." I swallowed, looking over the edge. "Not that I don't trust your abilities, but are you sure this is safe?"
We were on the top of the town hall, really high up on the glass dome. The rest of the main council was there, including Merome, Vikklan, Poofless, Ssundee, Jordan, and Notch. Ty and I were in our elytras, ready to do a test run.
Notch just chuckled. "I already tested it earlier. It held me, so you two will be well."
"You mean we aren't the first to try it?" Ty pouted.
"I'm a god, so I don't count."
Ty shrugged. "Fair enough." He then braced himself, and looked at me. "Count of three?"
"You know, the chance of sky squids has increased over the last month." I tried to make an excuse. I wasn't afraid of heights, I just was afraid of falling to my death. We didn't respawn anymore.
"The squids can't get you up here." Ty assured me.
"Will you two plebs hurry up?" Preston shouted from behind us.
"Squids are harmless!" Jordan said. "Notch said so!"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "You never know."
But I eventually got a big rush of courage, and nodded to Ty.
"One..." He started.
"Two..." I stepped back to get a running start with him.
"Three!"
We both ran and jumped off the building.
As soon as I hit open air, my stomach dropped, just like me. I opened up the wings with my arms, and the air resistance slowed down my fall. The thin, tough, gray material surprisingly held my weight, and I was soaring through the air.
"YEAH!"
I glanced behind me and saw everyone cheering. Ty was under me— he had a steeper dive.
I followed his lead and pressed my arms together (the ends had straps in which I could maneuver with. If I was gliding, I could take my hands off the straps, and the wings would stay in place.) I shot straight down for multiple stories, almost halfway down the building. Then, I extended the wings again and turned upward. I gained so much power that I did a loop.
"Nice one Sky!" Ty laughed behind me. He was living the dream.
But these wings are allowing us to fly. We could bring air-combat into battles.
If we could keep the elytra a secret, we would totally have an advantage in the war.

I'd totally buy some budder pajamas. Lol, I was running out of ideas for the chapter. So naturally I added another PoV of someone who wasn't part of the quest. Naturally.
Question: What is your favorite youtuber ship? Ex, Skylox, Merome, Poofless, etc.
Rock on, my little rebels.
