Chapter 11 ~ Kake Has Returned
Heyoooooooo. Sorry about the late update; this chapter was hard to write for some raisin.
Here's the man I'm watching right now. I've watched his Mianite series 3 times now. Mianite is life.

"Whaaaaaaaaaat?!" I exclaimed.
Jane chuckled. "It's true. We've been happily married for about 22 years."
"How old are you?" Gordon gawked.
"You should never ask a woman her age." She tutted. "But I am 45."
"Ya look good for your age." Infinity nodded.
"Thank you." Jane laughed.
"No offense," Skye started. "But how can you be with him?"
She sighed, looking away. "You never really know someone until they let you into their life willingly."
"You're right." Jake admitted. "Don't judge a book by its cover."
Too late. I was judging Ivan. He was a meanie.
"Right. So where are you kids heading?"
I shrugged. "I guess look for some place to eat, and hopefully stay."
"Oh, no no no." She shook her head. "This city... it's quite dangerous for you all."
"Why?" Jona asked. "Is it dangerous for everyone, or just us?"
She pursed her lips. "Mostly for you. The majority really would like to side with Herobrine. In fact, some die-hard supporters will do whatever it takes. I think you'll be safe with me. We can go to an exclusive restaurant, where people are much more well-mannered."
I took that all in. So everyone already chose their side? And they would do anything to keep it that way? This was more dangerous and harder than I thought.
"Come," She directed us toward the door. "Let's go. It's lunchtime, and you must be starving!"

"Yooooooooooo." Gordon said as we walked in. "This place be fancy!"
It was a dimly lit restaurant with fancy seats and booths. Two chandeliers were on the ceilings, elegant paintings covered the walls, and a kitchen was in the back.
When Gordon yelled that, everyone stopped and stared at us for a few seconds. Then, they went back to eating.
"Might want to be a bit more quiet." Jane winced.
Gordon smiled sheepishly. "Sorry."
Jane walked up to a person at a stand near us. "Booth for..." She quickly counted us. "9?"
"Follow me." He grabbed some menus and started walking to the left.
We arrived at a large booth in the corner, making up three sides. As everyone sat down, the man gave us our menus, told us someone would be there to get our orders soon, and left.
"Oh my Notch!" Jake yelped when he saw the menu. "This is so expensive!"
Jane waved it away. "I'll pay for everyone."
"No." Mastermind shook his head. "You're really nice, but—"
Infinity stopped him. "Woah woah woah. The nice lady is paying for our meal. Let her."
"But—"
"No. Shush."
"You kids are hilarious." Jane giggled. Then, her facial expression got serious and urgent. "So, as a part of my job, I usually help manage reports and other important papers that people send in. I got one from the train supervisor that yours was attacked?"
I nodded, then explained the story, with others helping:
"I stayed below to help the people."
"And then I shot the train."
"I killed a man!"
Everyone looked at Skye when he said that. He awkwardly added, "Enderman."
Then Jake explained my two ideas, and finally getting into the station.
"You poor souls!" Jane covered her mouth with her hand.
POOR UNFORTUNATE SOOOUUUUUUULLLS
...
Sorry I love The Little Mermaid. Bye.
"We should probably be used to it by now." Mastermind shrugged.
"True." I pointed to him.
A waiter finally came to our table. After we ordered, we went back to our conversation.
"But at least we'll be hopefully safe here." Abby sighed.
Jane promised, "I will make sure of it."
"But aren't the people—" Skye turned to Jane. "—and no offense, but aren't they hostile toward us?"
She looked around at the people eating peacefully and chatting away. "...Not everyone. But there will be civilians that will dislike you."
"We'll just have to ignore the haters." Infinity said.
"Let us pray that they won't go too far to not be able to be ignored."
Jake coughed. "As in violence?"
Jane hesitated, but nodded solemnly. "But the authorities will always be there to help."
"Okay." I nodded. I believed her truly.
A little bit later, the food arrived.
"So what is the relation between you all?" Jane gestured to everyone.
"She's my stepsister, sadly." Jake said just as Infinity said, "He's my step-bro sadly." They glared at each other.
"Jona be my best friend. He has helped me run my fighting place for as long as I could remember." Skye punched him in the shoulder, which Jona returned.
"We're dating." Gordon wrapped his arm around Abby's waist. "It's super official."
"No," Abby elbowed Gordon in the gut. "We aren't. We're friends."
Jane laughed. "You two would make a cute couple."
Gordon wiggled his eyebrows at Abby, who elbowed him again.
"So would you two." Jane pointed to Jake and I.
"W-what, um....?" I stuttered.
"We're just companions." Jake said slowly.
"I can sense some chemistry there, though." Jane tilted her head.
"Has Kake returned?!" Infinity whisper-shouted.
"Cake?" Jake asked.
"I like cake." I shrugged. "Delicious."
"K-A-K-E." Infinity spelled out. "Your ship name."
"Ship name." I thought. "So like Gorbby?"
"No!" Abby shook her head quickly.
"Yes!" Gordon nodded quickly.
Jake cleared his throat. "Kat and I do not have a connection greater than friendly associates."
"We're just friends." I translated. Haha, Jake was so funny when he gets flustered.
But seriously, what was with people shipping us? Nothing was going on. Why did they absolutely love the idea of Kake? Of me and Jake being together? It wouldn't affect them at all. Except they'd be able to say Kake more often. It is a fun word.
"Okay." Jane winked at me.
We finished our meal, and Jane paid for it. Then, we left the restaurant and started walking aimlessly.
As we were walking, I realized what Jane was wearing. She was wearing a black pencil skirt, tight black wool 'jacket', and white shirt. She looked very official, but comfortable.
"So is there a good hotel where we can stay?" Jake asked.
"There's one near the center of the town." She answered cheerfully.
Infinity raised an eyebrow. "That building that we were in before wasn't the center?"
"Oh, no. Our center is a beautiful park, filled with all kinds of trees, flowers, and activities to do."
"Sounds cool." Abby nodded. "Can we see it?"
We stopped at an intersection.
"Well I don't see why not." Jane shrugged. "I, unfortunately, must get back. But I can give you directions. If you keep walking along, turn left at the next intersection. Then turn right at the next one after that, and keep walking."
"Thank you for treating us to lunch." I thanked her.
"Sure, dear." She smiled at me. "Also, the hotel is the dark oak building that's the first one on the left side of the park."
"Anyone get that?" Infinity whispered.
"I got a photographic memory." Mastermind tapped his head.
"Of course you do."
"Goodbye!" Jane hugged us all (little awkward, but still nice), and walked down a road to the left.
"Do ya think the hotel is expensive?" Gordon asked.
"Probably." Jona shrugged.
"Awfully rude of her." Infinity crossed her arms. "Not gonna pay."
"She already paid for our lunch." I reminded her.
"Least she could do. She's probably rich."
"Infinity." Jake scolded her. "Don't be rude."
"Fight me!" She punched him.
He pushed her, and she tackled him.
"Not this again." Jona sighed.
People walked by, and we did our best to apologize and look natural. They just gave us an annoyed look and went on their way.
Jake groaned, and glanced at me for a split second. Then, unexpectedly, he pushed her off of him. He got up and brushed himself off. I gave him an amazed look, and he shrugged like it was nothing.
"Bro." Infinity said, laying on the ground and staring at the sky. "Why."

Didja sense the Kake in that? I told you all this book would be the most romantical. And there's plenty more where that came from. Even though it's weird for me to write romance. I'll do it for you guys though ^~^
Question: What's your favorite ice cream flavor? I'm eating chocolate right now. Not sure if I asked that already, but oh well.
Rock on, my little rebels.
