Part 17
I rush to his side and continue with his fast, but steady pace. The doors open by themselves, right when we got onto the door mat, as if on cue. We were greeted by the same cool breeze I had felt before. A soft, quiet moan left Lily's mouth. I guess the breeze is too strong for her. I wouldn't see how, it was a tiny breeze, with low power.
Once we got through the doors people were staring at us. I didn't see anyone when I first came in. But, I was also rushng then, so I didn't have enough to be aware of my surroundings. Some of the gave us a disgusted look, others, terrified, some even sickly. But. their reactions all had one thing in common. Their looks were from Lily, how she looked, and all the blood. Everything from her was fueling their reactions. A bleeding women being rushed into a hospital, causing a scene infront of sick people.
"Well there is another three hours added on to our wait." Someone complained in the crowd. My feet came to an immediate halt. My fist clench as my blood begins to boil inside my veins. I close my eyes, one, two ,three, inhale. Still angry, four, five, six, exhale. Nope,it's not working, seven, eight, nine, breathe. You can't be angry when you get to ten; ten.
I turn on the ball of my foot to the source of the. A sarcastic smile foms on my lips, one that's seems inviting, but it concels the outside world from the demon eager to get out. This person is going to get a sarcastic-smackdown. My hands subelty move from my side, cletched, to cupping the opposite hand infront of my stomach. Once I lay my eyes on a women, the source, I open my mouth.
"This woman is in need of immediate medical attention and you're worried about your waiting time! Well, I'm sorry if you have to wait so long for a flu shot!" Every head jolted to me. The woman sits, back in her chair putting her huge hand, with black tipped nails, on her chest, her bright red mouth is open, and her brown eyes wide. Her black suit and black hair in a bun seem to be perfect, not a single crease, nor hair is out of place. I stand there staring at her, while everyone is staring at us. There is pure silence until a giggle is heard from behind me. The woman alters her attention towards the giggle, with this I turn and strut away making sure it is as sassy as possible. Once I get to Lily, the man just stared at me, shocked.
"What, she got me mad." I stated, and walked off in a random direction down the only hall that connects to the waiting room.
Why am I acting like this? I would have never made a scene like that. I don't "strut" around, acting like I own the place. I don't and I never did. Once I got to the end of the short hallway, that was painted a shade of bright white, I had to stand there waiting for a moment, because Lily and the guy were behind a little. Lily seemed to be unfazed by the whole burst that just happened. Her head is tilted back on the back of the chair with her hands holding her stomach. She was letting out soft, quiet moans during the whole thing. I don't know how bad she is feeling, but she is human, she needs to be looked at.
The man who was pushing Lily finally caught up to me, and in one swift move he turned around and pushed the pale green doors at the open with his back. I followed through the doors and stepped in to another hallway. The man quickly turned to his left and started to head towards a yet another set of doors. I follow, now in a sprint, until we get to the doors. I manage to get infront of him and hold the doors open. As he passed, a gush of wind followed, pushing my hair back past my shoulders.
Soon another set of doors came up an we repeated the same motion as last. Once the doors were cleared the man started yelling.
"Dr. Burn, we have a critical patient, we need you now!" Shortly after a slightly tan man came running out a random room from our left. Worry was smeared across his face and his eyes green jolted around the room, I'm gussing, looking for us. He had a black shrub on, and grey tennis shoes with a stethoscope around his neck. His hand was pushing his hair back on top of his head. He wasn't very tall, maybe my height.
His eyes finally landed on the man pushing Lily and made eye contact with him. Shortly thereafter his eyes fell on Lily.
"O my God!" Fell from the doctor's lips.
