Chapter 11 - Reunited

"I'm sorry sir. But there is no one admitted here by the name of Sara Long." The lady at the front desk was saying as she was searching the admissions logs.

"Then do you perhaps have a Tracy Sullivan? She would have been admitted about a week ago?" A tall blonde asked in an almost desperate tone.

Doc was walking past the waiting area when he heard the name. He slowed down and went over and stood by the wall behind the desk for a moment as he listened.

"No, I'm sorry." She began. "Wait. Here she is. Oh, but it looks like she was transferred to a hospital in Insomnia. It was Insomnia General about four days ago."

Doc looked over and saw a tall muscular blonde stare at the girl for a moment in shock, as if his heart had just stop. Only to then dropped his head. Doc watched him carefully. He had a feeling that this was who she had mentioned had helped her out. He put his chart to his chest for a moment as he studied him. He didn't look like a sailor. A surfer for sure with his long blonde hair and full grown beard on his face. But he wasn't so sure about the sailor part.

"Thank you. I appreciate you looking for me." The blonde said in a low tone before he slowly turned and walked away.

Doc stood there for a moment and watched him walk out. He couldn't be sure if that was him without asking him directly. But he knew that Tracy would be upset with him if he didn't at least tell her that there was a chance that he had seen him. So he walked over to the admissions deck.

"Who was that?" He asked.

"Doctor?" The girl asked as she gave him a confused look.

"The gentleman that you were just talking to. What was his name?" Doc asked as he followed the blonde with his eyes as he stepped back outside and was approached by a group of people.

"He only gave me a first name. Robert. I think." She said as she tried to remember.

"Thank you." Doc said and watched the group slowly turn and walk away as a male brunette, about the same height as the blonde, patted him on the back like what a brother would have done.

"Perhaps...." Doc said then walked away as he pulled out his phone.

Tracy slowly walked down to the end of the pier. She slightly smiled to herself as she could make out the ships white superstructure and dark blue hull. There was no mistaking the Atlantis for anything other than what she truly was. Unique. But then as she got closer she could see that she looked like she was in bad shape. Which made her concerned. There was tons of heavy machines and equipment on the pier and her decks were covered with extra structures and crates.

Her heart fell as she looked at the ship. They must have had a rough trip back.

Then as she approached the ship, the guy on watch on the bow of the ship stopped in his tracks and waved at her. "Welcome back!"

"Thank you!" She shouted back as she approached the bow. "Welcome to Altissia!"

"Thank you!" He shouted back.

She smiled broadly as she realized that he was wearing his boatswain's pipe around his neck. She knew then that that was indeed Billy. And she was glad to see that he was still smiling and his pipe was nowhere near his butt. Which made her laugh to herself as she kept walking down the pier. As she got closer to the quarterdeck she heard a familiar voice talking to several sailors on the pier.

"No. That part is for oil pump and that part is for the water pump. Don't get those confused!" Said the blonde with broad shoulders.

"I'm surprised your here and not out eating with Misty and them?" Tracy said as she walked up to him

The blonde froze. Then he turned around and faced Tracy. Then he gave her a huge grin that made his blue eyes disappear for a moment.

"Holy shit. Look what the cat dragging back in." Mike said as he walked up to her and gave her a huge bear hug before he released her.

"I could say the same for you." She said back with a smile before she turned back to look at the parts that were all over the pier. "It looked like you guys got beat up pretty good on the way back."

Mike looked back at the pier. "You might say that. But we made it. Now I just have to get her purring like a kitten again."

"Well at least you will have plenty of time to work on it." Tracy said with a smile on her face as she pictured the kitten to be more like the roar of a thousand lions considering that each engine was about the size of a bus.

"We hope." Mike said back with a slight smile.

"Why do you say that?" Tracy asked him when she saw the concern on his face.

"Oh it's nothing." He quickly said as he gave her a big smile again. "We'll be fine. Don't worry about it."

Suddenly there was a commotion behind them as they heard something fall on the pier. They both turned around quickly to see that two of the guys were now yelling at each other. To which shortly after they both dropped what they were carrying and start going to blows with each other. Mike closed his eyes as he did a deep sigh.

"I'll talk with you later. I have to go knock some sense into a couple snipes." Mike said and walked away.

"Okay." Tracy replied as she slightly smiled. "Remember not to kill them. That would mean more paperwork for Jen."

"There's no guarantee on that." He called back as he waved back with one hand over his head.

Tracy then just smiled at him as she turned towards the gangway. Then with a smile she carefully made her way over to the quarterdeck as she heard a couple loud grunts as two bodies hit the ground, come from behind her. Than once she was at the end of the gangway, she looked over and saw Rick standing behind the quarterdeck podium as he looked at the paperwork in front of him. She smiled to herself as she remembered what she had learned about how to properly board a ship.

"Request permission to board." She called out strong.

Rick looked up a bit puzzled until he looked over at the gangway and saw Tracy standing there. He stood up tall and got a big smile on his face. Tracy could see that even he looked to be a bit worn out.

Just what the hell happened while I was gone. She thought as she could clearly see the bags under his eyes like he hadn't slept in days.

"You may approach the podium." He said with a smile.

Tracy beamed at him as she walked up to him and gave him a huge hug. "Hi Rick."

"Well hello to you to Tracy." He returned as he slight squeezed, which still took part of her breath away.

"So what brings you by? We thought that you were back in Insomnia?" He asked as he released her.

She shook her head as she dropped her head. "I never left. They wanted to transfer me. But instead I stayed."

"But why?" Rick asked as he gave her a curious look. "I thought that you wanted to go back home?"

"I did." She said with her head down.

Then she looked back at him. "But then I changed my mind. I want to help."

"Help?" Rick asked as he gave her a curious look. "With what?"

"Well, that's what I'm here to talk to Bob about." She said with a smile.

Rick shift uncomfortably on his feet. "I..I..I don't know if that's such a good idea."

Tracy was taken back by his reaction. "Why do you say that?"

"Well it's not my place to say." Rick said as he dropped his head for a moment.

"Well then I'll just go up and see him for myself. I'm sure that he'll....." She started to say as she turned to start to make her way past the quarterdeck.

But right as she was walking past him he forcefully grabbed her arm. "I'm sorry. But I can't let you do that."

Tracy froze in place right as he grabbed her. She slowly looked at his hand in surprise. Then she met his concerned eyes.

"Yes you can. Now let me go." She said as she tried to shake her arm loose.

"I'm sorry. But I can't. You not part of our crew manifest anymore and right now we're not taking visitors." Rick said with a slightly stressed face.

Tracy was stunned as she looked at him. "Your serious aren't you?"

Rick dropped his eyes, but he didn't let her go. "Can you call him at least? He can still talk to me right?"

Rick slightly sighed. "He can."

"Then can you call him for me please?" She said as she practically pleaded with him. "I promise I won't leave this spot."

Rick slowly released her arm. "I suppose I can give him a call. Wait here for a moment."

"Thank you Rick." She said as she watched he walk way and enter the small room beside the podium that held the ship's phone.

She nervously stood there for a moment as she tried to figure out what could have possible changed between the shower and now. Did he blame himself for her falling out like that? Because if he did, that was totally not the case. Even Doc had told her that that was normal for situations like hers.

He doesn't regret what we did does he? She thought as her heart started to break. Or worse yet. Has he fallen for the real Sara? Did I lose him to that quieter then hell and freakishly pine-scented obsession smelling chick?

"I'm sorry Tracy. He's not answering his phone. He must be walking around the ship." Rick said in a sad voice as he stepped back out and walked back over to the podium.

"Oh." Tracy said as she dropped her head as she felt her heart start to shatter. "I see. Then perhaps you could give him a message for me then?"

"Of course love." Rick said with a slight smile.

"Could you let him know that I'm staying at the Leville. You know, if he wants to stop by and see me that is?" She began as she kept her head down so that she could keep Rick from seeing the tears that were starting to form.

"Oh," she said and quickly pulled out her wallet and one of her business cards, "and here's my card. He can call me too. And if you let me borrow your pen I can give him my personal cell."

Rick looked at her in shock as he absently handed her his pen and watched her write a number down on the back of the card before handing them both to him. Then his mouth fell open after seeing the official secret seal on the card.

"You really are a secret agent aren't you?" Rick said in awe as he went from looking at the card to looking up at her.

Tracy slightly smiled before she looked back up at him as a stray tear fell from her eye. "Yeah."

Then she looked back down. "Not that it helped out anyone here though."

"I wouldn't say that." Rick said with a smile. "Sara smells a lot better then she use too."

Tracy slight smiled as she half laughed. "I bet."

"Can you say hi to Jen and the girls for me as well? And let them know that they can stop by as well if they want. I can take them out for a couple drinks." Tracy said as she looked up at him with a smile.

"I'll tell her, only if the rest of us can come as well." Rick said with a smile.

"Of course. I would love to see everyone again." Tracy said as the tears started.

"And they would love to see you again as well." Rick returned.

"Thank you Rick." Tracy returned as she smiled back. "Well I'll see you later."

"Later." Rick replied after her as she turned and headed for the gangway.

Then she stood at the top of the gangway and turned back to him. "Request permission to go ashore."

"Granted." Rick said as he smiled at her.

She then nodded and headed for the pier. As soon as she touched the pier, she turned and headed away from the ship. She didn't turn back to Mike as he was still giving directions to his fireman. Instead she kept her head down as she walked. She was trying not to think that perhaps she had been replaced that easily. Even though Bob didn't seem like the type to do that.

But then again, she never got a chance to really learn anything about him now did she. He could be for all she knew. The thought made her feel even worse for showing up at the ship. She had hoped for a warm greeting from everyone onboard. But even that was silly. She wasn't apart of the crew. She had been a stowaway. She's lucky that they weren't trying to bring her up charges on for assault and possible espionage.

But then she stopped in her tracks as she reached the bow of the ship again. She turned around one last time and looked up at the ship and towards the bridge where she knew that his stateroom was and where he spent the majority of his day. Had she imagined all of it? Did he even really care for her? She wondered as she looked longingly at the ship.

But then after a few minutes, she dropped her gaze and turned away from the ship as she continued to make her way back down to the end of the pier. She may have lost that part of her mission. But she had promised the Society that she would do everything to bring down the pirates that were threatening everyone. So with a heavy heart. She left the pier and headed for the secret hideout.

"Your being an asshole! And you know that!" Alex yelled at Bob as they stood on the bridge watching Tracy walk back down the pier. "It's either that or you have lost your fucking mind! One of the two. I can't tell with you anymore. I thought that you wanted to talk to her?"

Bob swallowed hard as he watched her walk away. But he didn't reply to his brother. Instead he just stood there and stared. He simply stood and stared as she turned off of the pier and started off towards the buildings that stood near the pier.

"What? Now you aren't even going to talk to me now?!" Alex yelled at him again. "You know what? Fuck you man! I'm fucking done with you. If you want to throw away a future with her, then so be it. But your going to regret it the rest of your fucking life. And you know it."

Alex then turned away from him and stormed away as he headed for his stateroom. Bob then dropped his head as he tightened his hands into fists as he closed his eyes tightly. Then he pounded on the bridge window with his fists as his frustration was getting the better of him. Then he clenched his jaw as a single tear rolled down his cheek.

Tracy could hear Misty's voice from all the way up the stairs as she made her way down in her favorite red dress that gently hugged her as it came just down to her knees. "Why can't we stay here? I'm sure you could find us some funds somewhere."

"We're not blowing all of our food funds for one room at this place." Faith answered back firmly.

"Then how about I pull some strings?" Tracy asked as she came around to the bottom of the stairs and saw everyone standing by the front desk. "I'm sure that I could get all of you rooms so that you could stay off the ship for a few nights. You all look like you could use a good nights sleep in a real bed."

"See, there we go." Misty said with a smile. "Wait? Did you say a few nights?"

Tracy smiled back at her. "Yes I did. The ship's going to be down for a few days for repairs right? Why not stay here until it's ready to go again. It'll make it easier for the workers and everyone else if you all get a great night sleep."

"And how much will it run us?" Faith asked. "We don't exactly have a lot of funds. The repairs took up most of those."

"Nothing." Tracy said with a smile. "Consider it a treat from me for lying to all of you."

"Honey if this is what we get for you lying to us, you can lie all you want to me." Faith said with a smile.

Tracy dropped her head as she slightly laughed at her. "I don't usually lie Faith and you know that. So this is a one time thing."

"I know." She said as she came over and gave Tracy and hug. "I'm just glad to see that your okay honey. We have been worried sick about you."

"Thank you." Tracy returned with a hug.

But before they could break from it. Misty and Jen joined in.

"We missed you too sugar." Jen said. "Sara is total boring compared to you."

"She can't be that bad." Tracy said as everyone let go.

"Oh no. She's that bad." Rick chimed in.

Tracy slightly grimaced as she tried not to smile at the same time. "I'm sorry." I'm glad to see that at least some of them missed me.

"So what do you say boss?" Mike asked as he turned to Alex who was standing there admiring the decor.

"I don't have a problem with it. Hell I'll buy dinner tonight to say thank you back." Alex said with a smile to Tracy.

"What do you say, Bob?" Alex asked as he pulled Bob out from behind Mike.

Tracy's heart skipped when she saw him. He looked a lot rougher then she remembered. His hair was longer and his full beard showed that he hadn't shaved for awhile. Plus the bags under his eyes told her that he hadn't had a good night sleep in a while either. Even his black jeans and white button up shirt looked rough. What with the shirt having a few wrinkles and the top two button being undone.

"That's fine. But I'll stay on board tonight." He said as he kept his eyes averted from hers.

Tracy stood frozen in place. What the hell? Is he trying to avoid me?

"Hey! How about those drinks?" Misty asked as she saw where this was going.

"Yeah. So Tracy, where's this bar you were talking about?" Alex asked as he smiled at Tracy as he firmly squeezed Bob shoulder.

"Maagho's." Tracy replied as she tried to force a smile. "Come on, we have to take a ride on a gondola to get to this one."

"Great. We go from one boat to the next." Faith joked while rolling her eyes.

"You can go back to the boat if you want?" Bob said in a stern voice.

The whole group shifted uncomfortably due to his stern voice.

"No. No I'm fine. A boat ride sounds like fun." Faith said in an almost mousey voice.

"Then let's get this over with." Bob said as he walked out of the lobby.

"Okay." Tracy quietly replied, as if she was being sent to the brig again.

Except this time she had no idea why.
