Emily's POV

After warmups were over we did a small 2 vs. 2 drill. I was totally ready for this, nothing and I mean nothing could stop me.

"Ok, Marty you are partners with Sam, Kenny your partners with Emi-"Coach Bucks got interrupted by laughs and snickers because Kenny was partnering up with me. What jerks.

"Ok as I was saying Kenny you are partnered with Emily, Chris you are partners with Mike, Benny with Astrid, Robert with Bill, Winter with Remy, Nick partners with Frances, and Jason you are partners with Justin. Got me?" Coach Bucks asked.

"Yes sir." We all said.

"Good. Kenny and Emily vs. Marty and Sam First." Coach Bucks said. It was a small field with mini set up goals. I was surprised Kenny didn't get mad with being partners with me. But whatever I need to focus.

We stepped on the mini field and Sam and Marty got the ball first. I need to smoke Marty because he made fun of me so I'll get him back. When the ball was in play Marty had the ball.

"Come on Princess are you gonna get it ha? Or are you to afaird to get dirty?" He said in a sarcastic voice. I ignored him and kept jockeying waiting to find a mistake to take it. He tried to do a scissors but I took it and dribbled and scored. 1-0 kenny and me! Woohoo!

"Hey good job Emily!" Kenny encouraged.

"Thank you,"I replied with a tiny blush. The game continued but Sam and Marty still got the ball first. Marty had the ball and passed it to Sam but the pass never made it it got intersected by Kenny and he passed it to me and I passed it back and he scored. 2-0.

"Ok times up next group." Coach said while reseting his stop watch. The next group was Chris and Mike vs. Astrid and Benny. Etc....

By the time all the groups were done Coach told us to run 5 laps around the track. Everyone started and I was in last. I started hearing laughs and seeing smirks while the boys looked back.

That made me go faster so I took up my pace by alot and I passed every single one of them. I took me about 6 minutes and 50 seconds to finish. Kenny was at my tail and the rest 3 meters behind.

"Well done now grab a ball and start juggling for 3 minutes if you drop the ball your out and go to the side."Coach Bucks implied. He set his timer and said go! We all started juggling.

Winter was the first out he got about 20. Then Justin. Then Sam. Then Benny. And so on. Until it was me and Marty left. Now this is definitely longer than 2 minutes.

I kept going. I've been juggling since I was 7 so this comes easy for me. Marty started to struggle and kind of was chasing the ball. I kept an easy left right rythem. Marty eventually dropped it and then he cussed, I was the last one.

500....501....502....

"Ok that's enough. Emily won! Impressive now lets do a scrimmage."Coach said.

1 hour later......

I was on the losing team by one point but I did really good and the coach noticed that I try hard I don't give up.

"Ok guys and girl that was a good tryout hopefully you all can make the team. So get some rest and meet me here tomorrow at 3," coach said.

I started to walk away, I grabbed my stuff and went to the locker room to pick up my bag. Then went to my car. I drove home silently listening to classic rock.

The wind going through my hair the sunset at my back. Wow I was so Confident that I actually tried out. Also I think I made it. Well I shouldn't get to full of myself.
