"We're home from school mom." I said.

My name is Abigail Carson and I am 11 years old. I had just finished my half-day of middle school and picked up my little sisters from elementary school. I am a straights A student who's in honors.

"Alright. There's gingerbread cookies and eggnog for you three on the table for snack." My mom said.

"Ok thanks mom." I said.

Me and my sisters went up to our room to put our bags down, then washed our hands and then went to the kitchen to eat our snack.

"So, what do you guys wanna do?" I asked.

"Can we build a snowman? That's what we do every year." Kelly said.

"Sure. We can build a snowman." I said.

"Oh goodie." Kelly said.

When me and my sisters finished eating our snack we cleaned up, put our coats on and then went outside. Me and my sisters worked together to build our snowman until it was finished. We threw snowballs at each other and then made snow angels and then went inside.

"Mommy, Daddy come see the snowman we made." Kelly said as she pulled them off the couch.

"Ok we're coming." My mom said.

"First, we have to put our coats on." My dad said.

We all walked outside after my parents put their coats on and then we looked at the snowman.

"Wow it looks so nice girls." My mom said.

"You guys did a great job." My dad said.

"Thank you." I said.

"Now let's go back in. It's getting cold." My mom said.

When we walked back in I saw the snowman blink. Then I stopped to take another look at the snowman.

"Are you coming Abby?" My dad asked.

"Yeah I'm coming." I said and then I walked in.

The next day when I went downstairs in the morning I saw the snowman looking towards the window smiling.

"Why is the snowman facing towards the window?" Kelly asked and then I turned around to see my sisters.

"I don't know. When did you guys get down here?" I asked.

"We followed you quietly. Let's go investigate." Carly said and then went to put her coat on.

"Fine, we'll investigate it." I said.

Me and Kelly went to put our coats on and then we went outside to look at the snowman.

"So, how is it facing the window?" Kelly asked.

"I don't know." I said.

"Because I'm magic." The snowman said.

"Ahh!" Kelly screamed and then ran inside.

"Woah. A talking snowman." Carly said.

"How are you magic? We make snowman's every year but it was never magic." I said.

"That's because your town got the magic snow. The magic snow comes once in a blue moon." The snowman said.

"What is this magic snow?" I asked.

"Well this magic snow is when you make creatures like me come alive." The snowman said.

"Really?" Carly asked.

"Yeah. The snowman said.

"Oh that's cool." Carly said.

"So, how long does this snow last for?" I asked.

"Forever." The snowman said.

"Forever?" I asked.

"Yeah. But there is only one way to get rid of it." The snowman said.

"So, how can I get rid of it?" I asked.

"Now why would I tell you that? Well I'm off to explore." The snowman said and then walked away.

"What are we going to do now Abby?" Carly asked.

"I don't know but we have to follow it before someone sees it." I said.

"Girls, Kelly just told me that the snowman talked." My mom said as she walked outside with her coat on.

"Oh. Umm." I said.

"Kelly was being delirious." Carly said.

"No I'm not." Kelly said.

"Yes you are." Carly said.

"What happened to the snowman?" Kelly asked.

"Uhh it fell." I said.

"How did it fall?" Kelly asked.

"The wind knocked it over." Carly said.

"Oh really?" Kelly asked.

"Yes." Carly said.

"Whatever. I'm going back to bed." Kelly said as she left.

"What are you girls gonna do?" My mom asked.

"We're gonna go visit our friends." I said.

"Alright. Just come back home before curfew." My mom said.

"Don't worry we will." I said and then my mom went back into the house.

"Now where are we gonna go first?" Carly asked.

"We're gonna track the snowman's footprints. Now let's go." I said and then we started running off.

Hours later we found our snowman with a lot of other snowmen on top of a mountain.

"What's going on here?" Carly asked.

"We're gonna set up an avalanche so the kids can build more snowmen." The snowman said.

"No, don't do that." Carly said.

"Why not?" The snowman asked.

"Because it's gonna get colder and you might bury the town." Carly said.

"And then we will make it our town. Now I suggest you two go back to your house." The snowman said.

"But." Carly said.

"Fine, we'll go back to our house." I said and then took Carly's hand then started running.

"Abigail, what are you doing?" Carly asked.

"Don't worry I have a plan, just wait and see." I said.

We ran to the library and I searched through the books until I found a book about snow.

"Why are we looking through a book, Abby?" Carly asked.

"Because it might have something about magic snow. Aha! Found it." I said as I scroll through the book.

"What did you find?" Carly asked.

"I found out how to get rid of magic snow." I said.

"Well then what does it say?" Carly asked.

"It says to get rid of magic snow is by having the sun touch fire." I said.

"The sun touching fire. How are we supposed to do that?" Carly asked.

"We set a fire on the snow." I said.

"Oh this is not gonna go well." Carly said.

Me and Carly went to the store to buy gasoline then went to an empty plot of snow right by the sunset.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"No." Carly said.

"Oh don't worry. You'll be fine." I said.

"I hope so." Carly said.

I poured the gasoline onto the snow and then it started to make a big fire.

"Is it working?" Carly asked.

"I don't know. But it is touching the sun." I said.

"Why does it feel so hot?" The snowman asked.

"Because someone is having fire touch the sun. See." Another snowman said as they pointed towards the fire.

"Oh no. They're melting us." The snowman said.

When I looked down the snow was starting to melt.

"Look, it's starting to melt." I said.

"Oh good." Carly said.

When the snow melted we jumped for joy.

"Hooray we did it." I said as I jumped.

"We saved our town." Carly said as she jumped.

"We're heroes." I said as I jumped.

"Now we can return back to town and tell everyone what happened." Carly said.

"Yeah. Come on, let's go." I said.

We returned back to our house and saw our parents and sister sitting on the couch.

"Girls, the snow just melted and it started getting really hot. How strange is that?" My mom asked.

"Oh my. That's very strange mom." I said.

"Do you girls wanna just stay inside or go out and do something fun?" My mom asked.

"Stay inside." Me and Carly looked at each other and then said at the same time.

"Ok we'll stay inside for the day." My mom said.
