❄ Rules! ❄
As much as I hate rules, and especially following them, we need them for this to go smoothly. So:
1) Disrespect to the judges or any other contestants will not be tolerated! This is kind of obvious, but just in case, it's being said. If I see anybody being rude to anybody else, you're disqualified.
2) No bribing the judges! This is also kind of obvious, but it's still being said. We're judging your story purely on content, not by the author or any offers you make us.
3) The story has to have at least five parts. So obviously there's gonna be an exception for short stories and poetry, but they do have to be completed. Any other genres (ex. teen fiction) don't have to be completed though, just poetry and short story. The reason for this is because we read the whole story that's there. Like I said, it can still be ongoing, but we'll read all of what there is because it's only fair.
4) You can put in multiple stories, but only one for every genre. It's not very fair if you have 5 stories under the horror genre while the other contestants only have one. One per genre.
5) Mature content is accepted, unless it is too sexual. Things like death, abuse, gore, mental illness- we'll accept it. If they mention that it happened, that's fine, but if it's erotica or you spend a whole chapter describing how two of the characters did inappropriate things, then it won't be accepted.
6) Your book has to have under 2K reads, and the story has to be in English. The 2K reads is only because it's for those who haven't received recognition, so it's only fair. And I would totally accept stories that weren't in English if I could, but all of our judges can only speak this language.
7) You have to add this book to your library and at least one public reading list. This is so that you won't miss out on updates, and so that other people can find us as well. We'll be checking this one, so make sure you do it.
8) Follow our admins! This gives us an opportunity to stay connected and keep you updated. We'll be checking this, too. Our profiles will be on the next part.
The Password is your favorite kind of flower. This is just to make sure you've read the rules, which is why I kind of stuck it in the middle. Put it on the form, which is a few parts ahead.
9) We won't be accepting anymore entries past December 31st! We'll need time to read the books and release the results. If we need to, we'll combine categories. Entries will be closed December 31st, judging will end on January 31st, and all of the results will be out by February 28th.
10) When we release the results for your category, we'll privately message you a review of your book. We're going to be using a form (which you'll see after the next part), and using that form we'll send you a score along with a basic review. Regardless of whether you win or not.
