A little sidenote. A lot of people think that Kai got his fear of gingerbread men because of a story his father told him and I really like that idea a lot but some people have already used that idea so I decided to use a different one.

Kai is five
Nya is three

"Come on you two, it's time to turn off the t.v." Maya said.

"Mooom please just one more episode?"

"No Kai and besides don't you want your father to tell you a bedtime story?" Maya said as she picked up Nya. Nya leaned tirdely against her mother.

"Yes but can I watch just one more episode and then go to bed? Pleeeease I promise just one episode then bed!" Kai said while giving his mother puppy eyes.

"Fine, but just one episode!" Maya said as she walked out of the living room with a sleeping Nya in her arms.

Kai turned his attention back to the T.V. A new episode had started right now a charecter had placed a plate of gingerbread cookies in a lab and some sort of green goo fell on them, the cookies then started to mutate into some sort of monstrous shape.

Kai grabbed a cushion next to him and squeezed it. He wasn't scared! He just wanted to hold a cushion! Yeah that was it.

A few minutes later Kai is holding on to the cushion for dear life and shaking slightly. Right now the gingerbread men are attacking a city and the main charecter is trying to stop them.

Unable to handle it anymore, Kai turns off the t.v and runs out of the living room and sees his father coming out of Nya's room. Kai slows down at his father's sight. "Hello there Kai" He says "you finished your show?"

Kai nods and the two of them go to his room. Kai climbs into bed and waits for his father to tell him a story.

"Once upon a time" Ray began "there were four people with elemental powers-" but for some reason Kai couldn't focus as his brain was constantly thinking of the scary gingerbread men.

Ray soon finished the story and left the room.

Kai tried to sleep but the frightening images of the gingerbread men seemed to be burnt into his brain. (And the pun was TOTALLY not intended hehe.)

He twisted and turned, when finally he jumped out of his bed and rushed out of his room. Once outside, he made a beeline to Nya's door. (since it was the nearest to his room) he quietly opened it and saw Nya fast asleep. He walked over to her and gently shook her. She opened her eyes and mumbled "what?"

"I-I couldn't sleep." Kai admitted.

Nya sighed and moved over "don't move too much." She said and drifted back to sleep.

Kai slid in next to her and closed his eyes. The gingerbread men seemed to stop bothering him.

Nya's pov. (Because I really wanted to add this scene.)

"Meow"

"Meow"

Nya woke up and saw bluebell hovering over her. Her bed felt hard, very hard. She sat up and found herself on the floor while her brother lay on the bed with his limbs spread out.

Nya sighed. Kai was the type of person that kicked in his sleep so of course he was most likely to kick her off the bed.

Sighing Nya got up and went to eat breakfast.

Back to Kai's pov.

Kai got up and rubbed his eyes.  he looked around. At first he was confused as to why he was in Nya's room but then yesterday's event came running back to him.

Boy was he glad that Nya couldn't hear what he was thinking because he was very gratefull that he had her as a sister.

That's it for this chapter and I don't know what to say so I am just going to share a bit of my randomness.
