The asshole locked me in the room!

I will not stand for this! Nuh uh, I need to get out of here before the Alpha King returns. 

I approach the door and grab my lock picking sets. They had been strapped to my thigh and surprisingly survived the past couple of days. They are very hard to break. I set to work to pick the lock. Honestly, it was a pathetic lock, it took me barely two minutes to pick it!

Once, I was outside of the room, I look around to see an empty hallway. I first need to confuse my scent. There is no use in escaping if Alec is to easily track me down. 

Again.

I wander into an occupied guest room. I steal some of this male's clothes, effectively smelling like him. Good, that's what we want. Now, how to get out?

Alec isn't that stupid. He probably increased the guard patrols around the castle to stop me from getting out. Again. That means I cannot sneak out the usual way. I have to figure something out and quick. Alec will finish his meeting and notice my disappearance. We can't have that.

I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice the familiar group of three people who I promptly run into. I keep my head lowered, just in case someone might recognize me. Either people from the castle or people from packs can put my identity in danger.

I say in a posh british accent, "I am so sorry for running into you. I wasn't looking where I was going."

I hear a hearty chuckle and I look up. Ethan, Jackson and Auriel, their mate, stared back at me. I guess I found my solution to get out of the castle. They could help. But what were they doing here in the first place?

Ethan asked, "What are you doing here, Emma?"

I hiss at them,"Idiots! Don't say my name!"

Jackson frowns, "Why?"

I glare at him, "Do you forget where we are? We are in the ALPHA KING's home."

Auriel pauses, "Then what are you doing here? It's dangerous."

I drag them into one of the castle blind spots, "You don't think I know that. It's not like I can leave."

Ethan questions me, "How did you end up here in the first place?"

I sigh, "Well, I ran into the Alpha King..."

"What?" interrupted Jackson, "How are you not in prison?"

I tell some of the truth, "Well, I was in a room, but I got out. Alpha King is going to figure out that I am gone soon. I need to be out of here by then. Can I get some help? What are you guys doing here anyway?"

Auriel answered, "As the most powerful pack after the Royals, we have to have personal annual meetings. We finished them yesterday and are leaving today."

I nod, "Ok, now can you get me out of here?"

Ethan gives me his coat, "Let's try to just leave with you right now. They can't stop us as we are pretty powerful without causing a fight. The only way the Alpha King would even chance us revolting is if his mate is involved."

Auriel adds, "What is the story with his mate anyway?"

Jackson explains as we walk with their belongings, "We was searching for her for a long time. Rumor has it a couple of weeks ago he found her, but something happened. Some people say she died or that she ran away."

I mutter under my breath, "Ran away."

Ethan turns to face me, "What did you say?"

I give him a fake smile, "Nothing. By the way, if anyone asks, I am an omega at your pack that is helping with your belongings. Auriel feels attached to me which is another reason why I am here."

Our group walked in silence. Between the male clothes I stole and my brother's coat, my scent is completely smothered. No way to track me now, mate! As we approached the gates, my nervousness rose. I cannot afford to get caught. My brothers would even most likely give my identity away.

At the gate, the guards call out, "Have a nice journey back to your lands, Alphas and Luna!"

I let out a sigh of relief when we are free. Behind me, I hear a conversation between guards, "Who is the fourth person? . . . Probably a servant . . . Was she there when they arrived? . . . Probably, either way, be quiet they are too dominant for us to be saying these things."

I smirk when I get into the car with my brothers and Auriel. I am free again! Haha, take that Alec! This is like the third time I ran away! You can't keep me down.

Then, we heard a huge, loud roar. We were a good distance from the castle, but the roar still shook our car. Damn, I think Alec found out about my new disappearance. He seems pretty pissed.

Ethan comments, "I wonder what pissed the Alpha King off so much! That roar is terrifying, you got to admit."

Auriel was staring at me like she knew all my secrets, "Could it have anything to do with Emma?"

Jackson adds, "Most likely, that's the only thing I could think of other than his meeting going wrong."

Auriel asks, "What exactly did you do Emma?"

I smirk, "A lot of stupid ass things."

Ethan groans, "Do I even want to know?"

Jackson copies his groan, "No, no you don't."

Ethan, Jackson and Auriel talked the rest of the car ride back home. I remain quiet to deal with my feelings. Those are a bitch! I felt torn, wanting to run back to my mate, but that can't happen. Deal with it, wolf!

Too soon, we arrive at the pack house. I grimace before getting out of the car, just thinking of how Mom is going to yell at me. I am so dead! She will be pissed and I will get pissed. . . It won't be pretty.

Jackson, Ethan and Auriel walk in first. Most pack members know me as their Alphas' sister who is in another pack. We don't clarify anything, people can say what they want. I don't care much.

Ethan called out, "MOM, DAD, POPS! Guess who I brought home?"

I hear Mom's footsteps and she runs to me to give me a hug, "Emma, my baby!"

Dad and Pops are chuckling behind her, "What brings you to our neck of the wood, Emma?"

I try to play off the question, "You know, I was just nearby and I saw my brothers. I just had to come pay a visit."

Mom gives me a look, "Very funny, now tell me what really happened."

I sigh, "Fine. Can we go up to your office then?"

Jackson nods, "I want to hear this too."

I sigh, "Let's go."

It takes no time at all to get into their office. It's sound proof too, so no one would hear our yelling. Now what can I tell my family? I won't tell them about being the Alpha King's mate, no Mom would give me back. Now, I could have information on his mate. I know what to tell them now.

Jackson closes the door and turns to face me, "I believe you were about to give us explanations."

I walk over to the cabinets and poured myself a glass of scotch, " Where to start?"

Mom leans against the desk, "How did you run into your brothers?"

I sip my drink, "Very funny story, I happened to be in the Alpha King's castle-"

Ryder aka Dad cut me off, "You were what?"

I wave off his concerns, "I was in my sworn enemy's castle." 

Asher aka Pops practically yelled, "You could have been killed."

I roll my eyes, "It's not like I wanted to be there."

Mom fired question after question, "How did you get to the castle? Why were you there? If you were captured by the Alpha King, how were you wandering about? Why weren't you in the prison?"

I answered, "Well, I had to fight off a patrol of pack wolves, about 25 wolves."

Jackson whistles, "Damn girl!"

I grin, "Yeah, then the Alpha King was out and about. He found me and brought me back to the castle injured. He has no idea who I am and how I am to the Smith Organization. He just thought I was a rogue and smelled vaguely of his mate."

Mom interrupted, "How do you smell of his mate?"

I explain, "She ran from him and asked me to hide her. I did, we are friends now. He left me in his room. Alpha King wanted to know about his mate and I didn't want to tell him. Yelling happened. He had to go to a meeting with someone, so he locked the door. I don't know who he was meeting with, but if I stayed, he would have put me in a prison. Can't have that, so I high-tailed out of there."

Mom frowned, "Mates are meant to be together. You should give the Alpha King his mate."

I pour myself another glass of alcohol and down it like a shot, "Nope, I am not forcing anyone's relationship."

Ethan says, "Stay here a couple days before heading back to the Organization. It will be less suspicious to our pack and to the Alpha King."

I shrug, "Sounds fine to me. Do you know who the Alpha King was meeting today?"

"The Alpha King of Europe. Why?" replied Auriel.

I freeze. Why would the Alpha King of Europe come here? The last time he visited, there was a huge attempted attack on our base. This isn't good news.
