Chapter 13

When I got to the Common Room, I decided to do something I had only done a few times. I went up to the dormitory where I was supposed to be staying. The other three had made themselves quite at home, and I felt awkward going in there, even though it was my room too. The other girls were in there. Lizzy recognized me first. "Hi Ivy, what are you doing here?" I looked down. Even though she had meant to be nice, it still hurt. "I was going to try to sleep here tonight, if that's alright?" I added quickly. Then another girl spoke up. "Why do you want to sleep here and not in your own room? This is our room." Lizzy glared at her. "Ella, this is her room too, remember?" Ella looked like she did. "Oh yeah, you were the girl who slept under her bed. We thought that you got expelled, because we haven't seen you almost at all since then. So you can understand why we came to that conclusion, right?" I nod. "Yes, but can you answer the question?" I asked. Lizzy answered. "Yes, of course you can." The others turned on her, but I spoke first. "Thank you Lizzy. Good night, and you don't need to worry about being quiet, I can sleep through anything." Then I crawled into bed and fell asleep instantly. 

I woke up to yelling. It sounded mad. I jumped back, and in an instant, I had my wand in my hand. They were laughing, but they stopped when they saw the wand in my hand. I didn't listen as they tried to explain why they had done it. I didn't care. I just left and went downstairs. I didn't say anything to anyone, not even Tom. I just went and ate a piece of toast for breakfast, then went to Potions. I was still an hour early, so I sat down outside and I must have fallen asleep, because I when I looked up, Professor Snape was right in front of me. It scared me at first, but I was fine. We were on better terms. "Time for class, Henderson. Get up." He said, not unkindly. I got up and went in.

I had a hard time staying awake the whole day, but I didn't know why. I had gotten a good amount of sleep, but sometimes, I just get tired. But today, I was exhausted. I barely made it through lunch, then I went back to the common room and slept. I might have been missing DADA, but the teacher was a fraud, and I didn't like him. So I slept through that class, and the next. I also slept through everyone going through the common room, but I woke when Tom started shaking me.

"Ivy, are feeling alright?" He asked, concerned. "Yes, why?" I asked, confused. "Because you slept half of the day away. You missed your classes. Are you sure that you are feeling well?" I nodded. "Yes, I am fine. I am just tired. Good night." He shook his head. "No, there is something that I want to show you. It might explain why I am not feeling well tonight, but I need you to confirm. Will you trust and follow me, no matter what I do?" I was very confused, but I agreed. So he led me out to the grounds. Everything seemed a little off. And this is where it got interesting.
