Extra long chapter for you all because why the hell not!

And what various people like from Legends Never Die and No Return (I think No Return) they like it when I find or make up a quote before a chapter. So here's one I made up.

Haidyn lowered her hand, the spell ricocheted off and crashed into the building, making stones fly everywhere and hit the ground. Seto gritted his teeth, staring at the two.

"Of course you're working for him," Seto said right before his left eye set out a burning sensation turning into nausea and blurry vision. He groans and puts his hand over his damaged eye. Haidyn chuckles.

"Eye injury finally getting to you? Good." Haidyn said. Vixen looks at Seto. 'Eye injury? I think I can treat that, I don't know. I've never treated an eye before.' Vixen thought to herself. Seto's left cheek was stained with blood. Vixen lays Lincoln down gently, she gets up, running to Seto.

"Let me see." She said as she touched Seto's arms. Haidyn went on the attack but Hannah threw up a shield to protect the both of them. Vixen pulls down Seto's hand.

"Look at me." She said. Seto looked at her best he could which wasn't much considering how much it hurt him to move his eye. Vixen's hand touches his cheek, she can see bruising around his eye and the white parts of his eye are red. "How well can you see?"

"N-Not good," Seto said. Vixen looks at Jazmine.

"He can't fight like this, he's finally feeling the symptoms of the damage to his eye and I don't know if I can heal it,"  Vixen said. Seto groans, nausea overwhelming him making him stumble back slightly and Jazmine is quick to get behind him and let him lean in against her for support. Jazmine looks over at Hannah, Hannah's fighting off Haidyn and Aaron and isn't doing so good on her own. Jazmine was about to as Vixen something when Aaron and Haidyn both disappeared. Hannah lowers her hands, Georgia comes over to them.

"Vixen you--" Seto groans and falls onto his knees taking Jazmine down with him.

"Seto." She said worriedly. Hannah puts a shield up over them to block the rain, Lincoln wakes up as she did. Georgia goes over to Lincoln as Jazmine falls to her knees in front of Seto. She puts her arms around him to keep him upright. "Vixen, do something." Vixen rips off a piece of cloth from her shirt and ties it around Seto's head, covering both of his eyes.

"Take him inside, he needs to stop moving his eyes so you have to guide him and clean the blood off his face if you can so I can see how bad it is," Vixen said to Jazmine.Vixen goes back to Lincoln. Nova comes beside Seto. Jazmine puts Seto's arm around her neck.

"Come on, let's get inside," Jazmine said. Jazmine helps Seto stand up, Hannah keeps the shield over them as they go inside. Nova comes in behind them, sniffing around for dark mages. Jazmine wobbles slightly, feeling him shift his weight onto her. "Seto I'm not that strong." Seto groaned in pain, a headache flaring up in his head.

"What happened?!" Jazmine heard someone ask. She looks down the hall.

"Sherri! Matt! Help me, I'm not that strong and he can't see very well right now." She said. Sherri comes to the other side of Seto, putting his arm around her neck. Matt goes to his brothers who are unconscious. Sherri and Jazmine take Seto down to the hospital ward of the HQ where there was already a few patients inside and wondering what was going on. Jazmine helps Seto sit on a bed as Sherri goes to get a first aid kit. She comes back with gauze, water, and towels.

"Vixen said to clean his eye?" Sherri asks. Jazmine nods. "I'll keep him sitting up because he looks like he is gonna pass out, you clean his face." Sherri gets on the bed, going behind Seto and resting her arms on his shoulders, letting him rest his back against her chest. Jazmine undoes the knot on the cloth.

"I'm gonna take off the blindfold, okay? We'll try to be careful." Jazmine said. She and Sherri take off the blindfold carefully, blood already have soaked the cloth and she sets it on the bed. Jazmine takes a wet towel and gently rubs it on Seto's cheek as the others come in. Matt was carrying an unconscious Wag on his back while Tom, Phil, and Lincoln were helped in by the apprentices. "Seto, look at me." Seto meets her eyes and she smiles a little. She gently rubs the cloth under his eye and he winces, Sherri having to keep him still.

"Stay still," Sherri said. Vixen comes over as Jazmine wipes off dry blood off his cheek revealing a cut underneath. She wipes the blood off above his eye.

"That's gonna scar," Vixen said. Vixen gently touches just under his eye and above, pulling on both lightly. "There's blood in your eye, how well can you see?" Sherri covers up his right eye.

"Not very well, it's blurry," Seto said.

"I can't fix your eye or the cut around your eye, but I can heal your forehead and cheek," Vixen said.

"He's gonna have a wicked scar than," Sherri said. Vixen nods.

"We can have someone stitch it up. But I'm just afraid of doing more damage than good because I can't tell what the problem is, you have a cut on your eye. I can see it but healing the eye with magic never ends well." Vixen said. Matt comes over and looks at Seto's face.

"Give him an eyepatch, he could be a pirate," Matt said. Jazmine whacks Matt's shoulder while the others smile.

"Not funny," Jazmine said.

"Who cut your face?" Matt asks. Seto shakes his head a little, nausea hitting him again making Vixen and Sherri have to hold him steady as Vixen cleans the blood off Seto's face. Jazmine looks at Matt as she touched Seto's arm.

"Donella did," Jazmine said. Matt looks at Seto.

"That means you have to cut her face too, but worse. I could cook her for you." Matt said smiling. Seto smiles too.

"You have my permission," Seto said. Jazmine replaced Sherri in holding Seto up. Sherri looks over at Lincoln who is laying in a bed, asleep.

"How's Lincoln?" Sherri asks. Matt looks over at Lincoln.

"He's okay, quantum magic takes a lot out of you, he's exhausted. Just some rest and he will be okay soon." Matt said.

"And Wag? What about Tom and Phil? Why did all the Masters get hurt and not the apprentices?" Sherri asks. Georgia looks over at them and steps in.

"Because you guys protect us too much and get hurt because of it. Try trusting us, Tom got hurt because he was protecting me." Georgia said. Sherri looks at Hannah, Hannah is sitting in a chair beside Wag, Wag is still unconscious. Nova jumps up on Seto's bed and lays down in the middle of it.

"No. Seto needs to lay down and rest. So get her off." Vixen said.

'You heard her, Nova.' Seto thought to Nova. Nova picks her head up, looking at Seto.

'You are not laying down yet, I'll move when you are going to.' Nova thought back.

'Are you hurt anywhere?' Seto thought.

'No.' Nova thought back.

'Are you sure, I saw you limping earlier.' Seto thought. Nova moves her front paw closer to her.

'Yeah, I'm fine. I'm more worried about you. How's your eye? Does it hurt?' Nova thought of him.

'Feels like I was just stabbed in the eye, so yeah it does.' Seto thought. Nova wags her tail.

"You know we aren't in tune with your telepathic conversations, Seto," Sherri said. Seto looks at Sherri.

"Why not? Did you not get your invitation?" Seto asks Sherri. Vixen and Georgia chuckle while Jazmine smiles.

"Nice to see you are still yourself," Georgia said smiling. Vixen puts her hand over Seto's left cheek, she mumbled under her breath, her hand glowing as the cut on Seto's cheek starts to heal by itself with crystals forming on his cheek as well. She does the same thing to his forehead and Jazmine removes the crystals off his face for him. She looks at his eye.

"At least you aren't permanent blind on one side," Vixen said. Seto nods a little.

"Can't argue with that." He said.

"You feeling better? You didn't look too good a few minutes ago." Vixen asks.

"Yeah," Seto said. Vixen smiles a little, she removes her hand from his cheek and picks up a bandage.

"Um, I want to cover it up just till it heals so your eye doesn't get infected or something," Vixen said. Jazmine grabs some too.

"I'll help you then." She said.

Wag woke up, he took in a deep breath, Hannah looks at him hopefully.

"Wag?" She asks sitting on his bed beside him. Wag coughs, turning his head as he groaned. Hannah touches his shoulder and his arm. She pushed down on him as he tried to sit up. "No, don't move. You were poisoned, you need to rest till you recover from it." Wag takes a few shaky breaths before his eyes open, his vision obscured till he shook his head a little clearing it.

"Hannah?" Wag mumbled. Hannah smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, it's me. You're lucky, I almost--I mean we almost lost you." She said. Vixen was able to heal his wound completely, now they have to wait for him to recover from being poisoned which can take days. Wag closed his eye, he was still in a daze but was composed enough to comprehend things around him. His eyes looked around, he looks at his brothers in bed and Lincoln as well as the apprentices and Jazmine wrapped a bandage over Seto's eye. Wag closed his eyes, nausea taking over him.

"What...What..happened.." Wag spoke softly. Hannah smiled a little, she lowered his hand back on his stomach.

"Wag, rest. I'll explain everything later, you need to rest for a bit and than you won't be so scatterbrained." She said. Wag looked at her, about to argue but agreed with her and shut his eyes, fall asleep. Hannah smiled and moved his blanket up from his stomach and covering his chest up.

When they were done with Seto's bandage, Sherri went to them. She looks at Jazmine, who is over by Phil helping him, Sherri looks at Seto.

"Have you still not ask her yet? I didn't keep that ring and give it back to you just so you could keep it like our lives depend on it, Seto." Sherri said. Seto looked away.

"I'll ask her later," Seto said.

"I remember you saying that about 4 years ago. And you still have yet to tell me where you have been--"

"And you never will know." Seto snapped. Seto looked at her. "Sherri, as much as I will like to tell you, I can't because, to be honest with you, I want to forget the last four years even happened since that was a never-ending hell for me." Sherri touched his arm.

"Seto, you have to let someone in. And if that isn't me, at least tell Jazmine." She said. Seto looks away, not speaking. Jazmine comes back over as Sherri walks away. Jazmine touches Seto's hand, losing her smile.

"Something wrong?" She asks. Seto's eyes glance at her, he leans forward, resting his head against her shoulder. She smiles, she puts her arms around his shoulders, rubbing his back gently. Nova looks at them, she sits up and moves beside  Seto, she muzzles Jazmine's hand. Jazmine chuckles and pets Nova. Seto looks at Nova, he smiles a little. He feels her paw on his leg.

'Happy?' Nova thought of him. Seto looked away, his eye hurt a lot, but he wanted Jazmine near him. He closes his eyes against Jazmine's shoulder.

'Yeah.' Seto thought back to Nova.

Seto woke up in pain, he grits his teeth, he has a headache and his skin feels like it is burning. He groans slightly, turning his head, seeing Jazmine asleep up against his right side, her head resting on his shoulder and her arms around his center. Nova's sleep on their legs, Seto looks at Jazmine. Nova moves slightly as Seto moved his legs.

'Seto, what's wrong?' Nova thought. Seto winced.

"Argghh—Don't..N-Nova..it hurts.." Seto said as he touched his head. Nova gets up, she nudges Jazmine a few times until she woke up. Jazmine moves her hand on Seto's chest.

"S-Stop Nova...sleep," Jazmine mumbled. Seto coughed, he moves his arm away from around her, waking her up finally. She opens her eyes, she sits up, touching his shoulders. "Hey, hey. Shh, lay back down. Lay down." She gently pushes Seto back down. Nova jumps off the bed, moving beside Seto and putting her paws on the frame to look at him. Jazmine touched his cheek with her thumb. "What's wrong? What is it?"

"It hurts..." Seto mumbled. Jazmine leans down closer to him.

"I know it does. You'll be okay." She said. Jazmine kisses his lips and then rests her head on his shoulder. Seto rests his head against hers, her fingers interlocking with his. Seto smiles a little as Jazmine closes her eyes.

'Tell her.' Nova thought.

'Why should I? Everyone can go ahead and make up their own stories for what I have been up to this past four years and can you stop reminding me of it?! Those four years in hell are years I want to forget forever!' Seto thought back. Nova growls at Seto.

'Sherri's right, Seto! You know she is. I know how much you wanted to have Jazmine back, but you are forgetting something, even if you don't tell her, what's gonna stop her from questioning those scars in your back from being lashed by Brice?' Nova thought back. Seto's eyes widen and he looks at Nova. He feels his heart race thinking about it, panic surging.

'How do you know about Brice Solace? I never told you anything—'

'You really don't know what a familiar or an abyssal beast is do you?' Nova thought. Nova jumps up on the bed, she licks Seto's face, the pain in his eye vanishing almost instantly. Jazmine sits up, staring at Nova. Nova stares down at Seto. 'I know more about you than you think I do, Seto. And I know how important Jazmine is to you, but keeping the fact that you were a slave for four years because you don't want everyone else to feel bad is only gonna end up hurting you. You aren't gonna get over this till you tell someone. You're stuck in the past and you can't move on unless you tell her.' Jazmine was about to say something but Nova growls at her hand nearing her. She barks at Seto. 'I can heal your eye, but I won't unless you tell her and propose to her.'

'Propose? But I can't. What if—'

'Stop doubting yourself! Stop doubting her, I can tell how much she loves and cares about you, so stop being a wuss and do it!' Nova thought of him. Nova jumps off him, she sits on the floor, staring them down. Seto sits up, groaning slightly. Jazmine puts her arms around him to keep him steady.

'Fine! I'll do it if it will finally shut you and Sherri up!' Seto thought back. Jazmine looks at Nova and Seto, Seto and Nova are both looking at each other.

"G-Guys. Um...I can't hear your dialogue thingy in your heads." Jazmine said. Seto looks at Jazmine. Jazmine meets his eyes as he moves her hair behind her ear.

"Can you..close your eyes for me?" Seto asks. Jazmine paused, thinking and then nodded, closing her eyes. Seto took the chain off from around his neck, pulling the ring off it.

"Can I open them now?" Jazmine asks.

"Um..yeah." He said. He still felt dizzy and knew he could move or walk very well yet. She opens her eyes. Seto looks at her. "Can you..bare with me? I have something..for you."

"For me? What is it? And you didn't have to get me anything, Seto. Just being with you is enough for me." Jazmine said. Seto looked away, smiling a little.

"Um..actually I bought this four years ago and I was gonna give it to you four years ago but I...chickened out," Seto said. Jazmine smiles a little, touching his hand.

"Seto—"

"No, Jaz. I did. And...Nova and Sherri..and Ty..and Lincoln made some good points. Really they wouldn't leave me alone about it." Seto said. Seto looks at her. "I can't exactly stand yet, sorry but I..I don't know if this would still fit."

'Stop stalling.' Nova thought of him. Seto pauses, he looks at Nova and then at Jazmine. Jazmine smiles, she touches his shoulder and then his arm.

"What's wrong? Why you so nervous?" She asks.

"Because of this," Seto said before he opened his hand. Jazmine looks at it, her eyes widening. "But maybe this isn't a good time—"

"No," Jazmine said grabbing his wrist and his other arm. "No. Seto, you are doing it again."

"What?"

"Stalling. I s-suspected something four years ago, I saw this ring already and I..I didn't know that you wanted to..marry me." Jazmine said.

"How did you—" Jazmine smiles.

"I know you, Seto. If you were gonna choke on something it would be this. I like it though, it is a beautiful ring. Ask me." Jazmine said.

"What?"

"Ask me..you still haven't asked me yet...I won't accept it till you ask me." Jazmine said. Seto looked at the ring and then at her. 'Wait she said....she wasn't gonna say no?' Seto thought to himself. Jazmine smiled, she looks at the ring and then at him. She could tell he was doubting himself and she expected it. 'He always doubted himself, but never did he when it came to protecting others, but this..he will doubt himself.' She thought to herself. "Seto." He meets her eyes.

"S-Sorry. Um...Jazmine..will you..marry me?" Seto asked. Jazmine smiled and nodded.

"Of course I will," Jazmine said. Seto looked at her and she feels tears of joy in her eyes. She wipes her face with her sleeves as Seto slipped the ring onto her finger. She smiled again. She hugs him, kissing his cheek. "Was that so hard?"

"Yes," Seto said. She smiles again, she leans back, she kisses his lips and he returns her kiss. She feels his hand on her neck and he breaks the kiss, he kisses the tears from her cheeks making her blush and smile. Nova jumps up landing in Seto's lap. Jazmine chuckles and pets Nova.

"It's nice to know that I can depend on you to take of him. He can be shy and a pain, but his heart and intentions are always set in a good place." Jazmine said. Seto looks at her. Jazmine smiles, looking at him. Seto smiles a little, he kisses her cheek. Nova moves off Seto's lap and Jazmine moves into Seto's lap. She kisses his lips, resting her head on his shoulder. Seto lays down, his arms going around her. She smiles, closing her eyes as she listened to his heartbeat, soon falling asleep. Nova jumps up, sleeping at their legs again.

'Nova.' Seto thought. Nova picks her head up.

'What is it?' She thought back.

'I want to tell her, but I know that even I can't do it—'

'Yes you can.' Nova thought.

'No. I know you all are right, you, Sherri, and Coraline. But......telling them all what happened to me for the past four years while they were living their lives being free and I was..in chains. I can't. I don't want them to feel guilty and I especially don't want their sympathy or their concerns. Or their questions. And I don't want to remember how desperate I got over those years...I..I just want to forget about it. All of it.' Seto thought back. Seto didn't hear Nova respond for the longest time, he was almost gonna look to see if Nova was still awake till she did.

'You always have me to talk to, but promise me you'll tell Jazmine in the future?' Nova thought.

'I promise. Can you heal my eye now? It hurts so much.' Seto thought back. Nova stood up, she jumped off, putting her paws up on the bedframe and Seto removed the bandage from his face letting Nova lick him. Seto flinched slightly when she licked him. Seto's cut healed, but a faint scar was there now, the red in his eye fading down to his eye being glossy.

'Can you see?' Nova thought.

'I'm not blind, but I'm not fully able to see. Still a bit blurry, but I can live with that.' Seto thought back. Nova jumped up, Seto smiles as she lays down against his other side. Nova resting her muzzle on his shoulder. Seto pets her. Nova moving her head on his chest.

'Problem?' Nova thought.

'No..No...just got both of my girls here.' Seto thought. Nova licked his neck.

'Go to sleep you dummy. I'll keep watch.' Nova thought.

'Keep watch? Why? We're at Fyre HQ—"

'Yeah but I have a bad feeling. Oh and how is your blight? You don't really seem that affected by it considering it is growing up onto your right cheek.' Nova thought. Seto rested his head against Jazmine, his arm resting around her waist.

'I mean, it hurts every now and than but I feel okay. Anyway...I'm tired..I'm gonna sleep.' Seto thought back. Seto closed his eyes, soon falling asleep.
