This chapter was suppose to be a part of chapter fourteen, but I cut it off at the moment Seto got hang because I wanted to see your reactions....And also I needed to fix what happened in this chapter so I took it off Fourteen so I could work on it. But I decided to post this chapter early for you all...

And yes I know, Seto doesn't deserve that fate, he has been through or rather I have put him through so much....But things will get better....eventually....

*Three Days After The Hanging*

Sherri shakes her head in her hands in disbelief, but in her mind she knew that it was all true and she even had to watch it for herself. She bites back her bottom lip. 'I can't believe he is gone.' She thought to herself. The door bursts open, making her pick her head up to look at a distraught Frye master wizard, Thomas or rather called Tom. He looks at Sherri.

"Sherri! The Frye Apprentices are gone, we can't find them." He said. Sherri's eyes widen and she stands up.

"We have to find them before they do something stupid!" Sherri shouted. She follows Tom out of the house, Nova follows her. Nova  looks around while she follows them with this look of concern in her eyes. The streets of Laenadur seem to always be empty or full of disapproving mages around the Council Building. To say that the public didn't take the Council hanging Seto well, is an understatement. Many were enraged at the unjust fate Seto had received, Seto's previously graduated apprentices left the frontlines to see for themselves if their Master, who taught them everything they know about magic and also the world, was really gone.

But like every situation that exists, there are the supporters. Supporters for the Council believe that Seto's fate was playing nice since the originally execution was to be burnt at the stake and not a hanging. And so they fight back against the enraged Light Mages, both apprentices and Masters to protect the Council's ideals. And the funeral for Seto has to be done in secret since the Council forbids for Seto to be buried in the Light Mage cemetery on the account he was convicted as a Dark Mage which only makes the public madder.

And while Sherri is a part of the Council, the people against the ruling know that Sherri fought till the very end to save Seto, only to come up short. And not only about Sherri, but also the argument of Nova as well. Many believe that Nova should stay with Seto's friends, while the Council believes that Nova should be killed for being an abyssal beast. But the Frye Wizards, especially Wag who made Seto a promise to protect Nova for him.

Meanwhile, the Frye Apprentices decided to take things into their own hands....this won't end well. I mean they know better than to enrage their masters on account of what happened when someone wouldn't stop ringing a bell around Matt, who hates the high pitched noise. (I still remember seeing Matt get mad about Phil and Tom ringing the bells in a Mianite Livestream on their channel....good times...)

Wag stops dead in his tracks, his eyes widening when he finds the apprentices and one of them is carrying Seto on their back. One of the apprentices spot Wag, they go pale and stop talking. The rest look at the Waglington.

"Ma-Master Waglington, this isn't what it looks like." One said. Wag recovers from his shock, he takes in a deep breath and takes a few steps towards them, looking mad.

"Do not try to talk your way out of this all of you. Blake! Put Seto back, there is nothing that we can do for him expect give him proper resting place." Wag said. Blake looks at Wag and then lays Seto on the table besides him, stilling holding onto Seto's wrist.

"Check his pulse, maybe he is still alive and we can't tell." Blake said. Apprentices move out of the way, Wag puts his fingers on Seto's neck, waiting and feeling nothing.

"He's gone, you all need to get that through your heads." Wag said right before he felt something. Wag's eyes widen a little. Tom and Sherri run in, stopping when they spot Seto. Wag looks at the apprentices. "Put Seto back, now." Nova runs in, not slowing down when she spots Seto. She pushes through Apprentices and jumps up onto the table, instantly growling at everyone as she stood over Seto. Wag takes a step back while the apprentices almost back up beside Sherri and Tom. Nova looks at Seto, she moves his head with her snout, wagging her tail slightly. "N-Nova...Come on." Nova growls, baring her teeth at James. Nova looks back at Seto, her tail stops wagging as she whimpers, pawing his arm.

"Wag...Get her away, this is  just...sad." Tom said softly. Wag tries to grab her only to get almost bitten in the arm by her.

"She's protecting him..She doesn't understand that Seto died."  An apprentice said. Nova whimpers more as she wedges her  head underneath Seto's arm. Nova's tail wags more as she licked Seto's neck, around Seto's neck is red skin from a severe  rope burn and strangulation. Nova licks his neck again in an attempt to heal it, but it doesn't work.

"I thought she had healing saliva." An apprentice said. Wag nods and looks at the floor.

"Healing magic, including her healing saliva, doesn't work....on the dead." Wag said. Nova whimpers more, apprentices leave looking more upset than ever. Tom walks beside Wag and so does Sherri. Nova suddenly starts to bark endlessly and each time it gets higher in pitch like it finally register what had happened to Seto through her mind. Sherri shakes her head, tears falling down her face as she goes beside the crying wolf and puts her arms around Seto. Tom looks away from them, while Wag goes beside Sherri, putting his hand on her shoulder comfortingly.  Sherri looks at Wag in tears.

"There must be something you can do, bring him back to life. Please, Waglington." She said though her tears. Wag looks at Seto and then at her. He pulls her into a tight hug, Sherri buries her face into his chest. "It's not fair. He didn't deserve this." Wag hugs her tighter, resting his chin on top of her head.

"There's....There's nothing we can do other than give him a proper resting place." Wag said softly to her. Sherri squeezes her eyes shut, Wag looks at Tom. "Tom, can you please take Seto back to the Morgue?" Tom nods, careful maneuver  Seto on top his back and leaving with Nova following close to his feet. Sherri leans back, looking at Tom before he leaves.

"We can't do anything without him, we can't win this war without him, an--"

"That was before the magic community banded together; Seto's death opened the people's eyes. At least...one thing good came out of this." Wag said softly.

Tom laid Seto back down on the table in the Morgue. He stares at Seto, thoughts going through his head and he can't focus on one feeling. He touches Seto's arm.

"We're sorry, we....we should have tried harder to save you." Tom said on the verge of a breakdown. He takes a step back and leaves. But Nova jumps onto the table, snuggling into Seto's side as the rope burn on his neck starts to heal...

This story is far from over everyone...
