CHAPTER NUMBER SEVENTEEN:
season number four episode monstrous!

OPHELIA COOPER. A beautiful blonde who started out this journey with a beautiful brunette who helped spread her wings and fly like a
butterfly. Ophelia Cooper had always been a shy
girl. Her past always right around the corner to haunt her. Never in a million years did she think
all of this was real. Ghost , werewolves , kitsunes. Never in a million years did she think she'd attend
a bonfire at Beacon Hills Highonly to almost
get set on fire by people who wanted her dead
over some supernatural list with her name on it.

Her heart accelerated in her chest as Scott
McCallsomeone she had grown to trustrush around his room whilst the injured blonde sat on
his bed and watched. Ophelia's cheeks were
painted pink , slightly from embarrassment. She wanted to be able to go with him and help his friends. She wanted to be as strong as Kira and Malia were , and kick some ass. But the bottom line was , Ophelia was only human. A human with limiting supernatural abilities. She didn't have the courage and bravery as Stiles either. As badass as Ophelia was , she wasn't in a place to be able to hold her own in the face of danger. Not now , at least. . . Scott must have smelt her sadness because in the midst of his frantic movements , the alpha stopped to look at her. "What's wrong?" He asked softly , bending down in front of the girl.

Ophelia's bottom lip trembled as an overwhelming feeling consumed her. "I feel so weak , Scott."
The blonde admitted. "Allison came to me to
help you and all I've managed to do is break my
leg , get drunk , and get in the way of things."

Scott frowned and he felt his chest cave in. Ophelia had done alot for not only him , but for the one person he had loved the most. He valued the blonde more than he should've and having her be so vulnerable to him made a certain feeling resignate in Scott's chest. "You should never , never feel like around me. You're stronger than you think." He promised , wrapping a hand around hers. His honey brown eyes searched for her deep blue iris' to meet his. "Once this is all over , I'm gonna help you Ophelia. Me and you are going to figure this thing out. We'll go to Deacon and we'll research what you can doI promise Ophelia , this will all make sense soon." Scott promised with the utmost intention of keeping that promise.

Ophelia swallowed harshly as she connected eyes with Scott's. She couldn't help the rush of adrenaline she got in her veins as she soaked in the crooked jaw boy in all his glory. "I've been so lost all of my life. I've been rejected and ignored. . ." Ophelia's brain flashed her memories of grade school and people used to tease her. She got flashbacks of her mother taking her to therapist after therapist claiming something was wrong with her. Ophelia looked down as she shook her head to wash the bad thoughts away. "There's so much we don't know about eachother Scott but you" her right hand glided up Scott's arm gently. "You've been the only I ever felt like looked past all the things I've been told to hate about myself. Somehow , someway , you make me feel normal."

For the first time that night , Scott McCall smiled. Not a smile of sadness or out of sympathy. A genuine , toothy smiled that he hadn't cracked since Allison. The alpha couldn't help but cup Ophelia's tear stained cheekwiping away the smudges underneath her eyes. "Me and you , we're pretty good together." Scott murmured flickering his eyes to Ophelia's plumped lips. The organ inside of Ophelia's chest that was beating hard and fast against her bones , leaped at his words. Her tongue darted out to wet her dry lips in anticipation. "Is it bad I really want to kiss you right now?" Scott questioned as he leaned closer , Ophelia's cheeks heating up from his warm breath.

Instead of answering , Ophelia's hands knotted themselves around the back of Scott's head and brought him close enough to close the gap between the two of them. A gasp leaving her mouth as she did so. Scott recovered from the shock quickly , wrapping his arms around her waist to scoot her closer to him. That once touch merely caused Ophelia to blossom like a flower underneath his fingertips. Firworks exploded in her stomach and she finally realized what all the fuss was about. Their lips ran smoothly against eachother , both teenagers wild with emotions. However , their forever was cut short when Scott reluctantly pulled away breathlessly , his forehead resting on her forehead. Ophelia's heart never missed a beat and Scott couldn't help but grin at the effect he had on the girl. "I hate that I have to go." He sighed.

Ophelia nodded in understanding as she caught
her breath. "You're the knight in shining armor." She laughed and Scott's ears rang at the sound.

Reaching up he placed a sweet kiss on her nose. Ophelia wrinkled it up as she chuckled. "What
a clichè." She muttered and Scott hummed.

"Will you be here when I get back?"

"I don't have any clothes." Ophelia pointed out.
Of course she wanted to stay. She knew her
mother was either too busy arguing with her father or too tired to care where she was at the moment.

Scott quickly stood up as she rummaged through
his drawers. "My mom shouldn't be coming home early tonightshe's always working late shifts. I don't think she'd mind you being here anyway."
He said quickly , handing her a pair of his old lacrosse sweatpants and a plain black shirt.

"How's that?" He asked her.

"Perfect." She smiled gratefully taking it from
his hands. Scott grinned and winked at her
quickly before rushing out the door.

"I'll be back!" He yelled as he ran down the stairs. Opehlia shook her head and fell back onto the
bed. She couldn't believe what was happening.
She couldn't believe she was in Scott McCall's
bed awaiting his return. This all seemed so surreal. For so long Ophelia was hidden away from everyone else. She chose to walk the halls alone and keep her head down low in fear of facing judgment. She was ashamed of her gift from the moment she could comprehend she had itand now it was her biggest blessing. Without it , she wouldn't have met Allison. She wouldn't have met the one person that broke little Ophelia Elisabeth out from her permanent slumber. Ever since Charlie , Ophelia was scared and bitter about the ghost that came and went. But Allison proved to her she was different and not at all like Charlie.

Ophelia took a minute to drink it all in. Savoring each minute. She didn't know how long her happiness was going to last and so , she wanted to enjoy every minute of it now. The blonde turned over to look at the clothes Scott handed her. She rubbed the fabric between her fingers to feel how soft it was against his skin. Grinning , Ophelia stood up and peeled off her clothes that smelt of gasoline and disparities. As Scott's shirt bagged her petite frame , her nose tinged at the strong smell of cologne and musk. His natural scent pushed through the rough aroma of the perfumebut it wasn't a bad smell. It was just Scott.

Ophelia was so caught up in her own thoughts ,
she hadn't noticed Allison Argent sitting on the very bed she sat onwatching her with a small smile.

"Just like the old times."

Ophelia jumped at the random voice , her heart jumping. She was quick to calm down as she
already knew who it was. "You need to stop
doing that!" Ophelia scolded as she held her
chest to regulate her thumping heart beat. Calming down , Ophelia fixated her eyes on Allison. She hadn't seen her in awhile and wowshe missed
her. The curly haired Argent who was always
smiling and pushing her out of her comfort zone. Her guardian angel. "You said you couldn't see
me anymore." Ophelia reminded Allison.

"I missed you , O." Allison admitted with a soft smile. "I can't stand being on the other side but my mom's there. . . she really likes you , surprisingly." Ophelia chuckled at her friend. Allison almost didn't feel like a ghost. She felt real to Ophelia and that was her biggest problem. Her heart was too good for this giftshe always forgot they weren't human. That's why things always get out of hand.

"I missed you too." Ophelia told Allison. Her
pants completely discarded now as she walked
over to where Allison was sat and took a seat next
to her. Allison grabbed Ophelia's handher touch cold and distantresting her head on Ophelia's shoulders. "I'm sorry I wasn't good help."

Allison raised her head up with a frown.
"What do you mean?" She asked with
scrunched eyebrows in confusion.

"I let you down Allison." Ophelia muttered. "I
was so focused on my secret and Liam , that I
wasn't any good help to your friends. I'm not strong like you. I'm just . . . weak." She said ashamed. Ophelia remembered all the stories she heard about the Argent girl. How skilled and brave she was. Ophelia could never be like that.

"You aren't weak." Allison whispered. "There's not one person I know that could do what you do everyday. You see dead people!" She lifted her hands up in the air dramatically making Ophelia giggle. "That would take a toll on anyone mentally. You handle it with such class and strengthyou took this experience and made the most out of it. And I am so grateful that you did , Ophelia."

Ophelia gave Allison a teary smile. "I wish you
could stay a little longer." She whispered. Allison
bit back the tears threatening to fall as she
watched Ophelia's lip tremble. "I want you to stay."

"I know." Allison said. "But it's time for me to
move onOphelia , I saw the light." She beamed
as she thought back to how beautiful it looked.

Ophelia wanted to be mad. She wanted to hate Allison for leaving her. But God had plans for everyone and Allison's time with her was coming to an end. "Can you come back and see me , one more time after this? Just to say our final goodbyes."

"I'll always come back to you , Ophelia Cooper."

And just like that , she had vanished right before Ophelia's blue eyes and she was left alone once again.

THAT NIGHT , SCOTT DIDN'T RETURN HOME. Ophelia had stayed the night as promised , but awoke to an empty bed. Her heart sank when she came to the relization he hadn't come back to her. However , as she smoothed her hair and tried making herself look as presentable as possible , Ophelia's phone rang. The blonde was confused to hear Lydia Martin on the other linepractically begging her to go down to the sherrif station.

"I don't care that you're not dressed!" The strawberry blonde ushered on the other line. Ophelia rolled her eyes at her snappy tone , but did agree to meet her there. Her outfit was absolutely horrendous and her old clothes smelt of gasoline. Ophelia groaned as she was forced to take down her ponytail to pull the black shirt back so that it complimented her body better. She rummaged through Scott's drawers for something smallerbut everything else was just jeans or plain ugly.

Ophelia was given no other option and as she walked into the sheriff stationeyes were glued to her. She rolled her eyes as she shoveled past a group of them as she searched for Lydia. Instead she found Stiles' dad , whom Ophelia quite liked. "Interesting choice of clothing." He commented weirdly , earning a huff from the blonde.

"Where's Lydia?" She asked as she chose to
ignore the comment. He nodded and brought her
to the room where both Lydia and Meredith sat. "Meredith? I thought"

"She wanted to see you." Lydia cut her off.

"Me?" Ophelia looked at Meredith confused.

Meredith's eyes were wide. So wide that they
sent shivers down Ophelia's spine. "Me and
Lydia , we predict death but youyou see it."

Ophelia felt suffocated as all eyes stared at her.
Her neck itched as she used her hand to scratch
it nervously. "That's true." She nodded quickly.

"You're sad." Meredith pointed out nonchalantly. "The voices told me."

"The voices?" Ophelia questioned. "What voices?"

"Charlie." Meredith responded.

Ophelia's blood ran cold as she thought back to Charlie. "How is that possible? He's already dead."

"Who the hell is Charlie?" Mr. Stilinski asked.

"Charlie's angry. He's powerful now. You sent
him away and it made him angry." Meredith explained , her own veins getting hot. "But he doesn't hate youhe wants you to help him."

Ophelia shook her head as panic began to arise
in her throat. Charlie was the only thing that truly scared her. Meredith shouldn't be able to see him , or communicate with him at all. That's now how
the supernatural usually worked. "I can't."

Lydia interrupted their conversation. They didn't have time for Meredith to get off track. They needed one thing and one thing only. How in the hell to stop the benefactor. "I think I'm getting an idea of how this all happened. You used Charlie , didn't you? You knew he used to kill people and that he'd do it againjust like Brunski. You used both of them. Brunski knew my grandmother's passcode for the dead pool. He put it online. You talked to Charlie , made deals with him about Ophelia and now you're desperate to hold your part of the deal. . . Brunski took the money from the Hale vault then turned the bearer bonds into cash. He's the one who made the payments. Was it Brunski's idea to fake youe death—"

"It was Charlie's , wasn't it?" Asked Ophelia.
She remembered what he tried doing to her.

"I wanted to help." Meredith tried reasoning.

"All you wanted to do was help. Help Charlie
with Ophelia too , right? Is that why you're here?
I know you wouldn't want to be here if you didn't want to talk." Lydia was practically begging Meredith for answers , but the girl was too smart.

"I did. I wanted to talk to Ophelia." She gave
Ophelia an odd look. "But now there's only one person. One person I'll talk to."

"Who?"

"Peter. Peter Hale."

As everyone dispersed trying to find Peter
Hale , Ophelia turned towards the door to
leave. Lydia reached out and grabbed her elbow gently. "Are you okay?" She asked her softly , noticing how her mood shifted since her conversation with Meredith.

Ophelia gave Lydia a tight smile. "Yeah I'm okay" she glanced at Meredith before looking back at a concerned Lydia. "There's something I have to do."

"Be careful." Lydia told Ophelia earning a
grateful nod. It was broad daylight and the blonde wasn't tol worried with being attacked againher only worries was about finding one person.

One person she swore she'd never see again.

Charlie.
