Chapter 46 - Decisions
Sorry for disappearing for a while! This is an extra long chapter.
Isabella's P.O.V.
The regular wolves did not know of any prophecy and were freaking out. I was getting annoyed at their useless blabbering. I yelled,
"Enough!" Everyone actually froze and looked at me. "Alpha Carson shall reveal the hidden prophecy!" I turn to Alpha Carson who recited,
"The white wolf shall look upon
The world with eyes of blue, accompanied by five others of her kind
To deal with those who deserve
A fate that is worth than death.
She shall have power of the Alphas, all shall bow to her will.
Be careful not to anger this female
Who can stop a war or start it,
This white wolf shall be the message to all of her power,
A message to all who be."
Everyone was shocked at the revelation. Arthur was mad, furious even. He announced to all exactly what he thought,
"It is impossible that Luna Isabella is the Alpha Queen of the prophecy. She is not even a white wolf." That managed to piss me off even more, so I shifted into my wolf. That shocked everyone, including the other Alphas. Even if the Alphas on our side, and agreed not to kill white wolves, they did not predict that I would be the white wolf. My pack had shifted also to prove my point. I shifted back immediately with clothes on, a benefit of being a white wolf. I angrily told my so called father,
"As you can see, I am a white wolf." Arthur spits in my direction,
"I will never bow down to a woman or any higher power." Oh the bastard! He made it sexist even! Asshole! Piece of shit! I felt my dominance within me rise up at this challenge. I stalked over to his direction. Belle took control and in a more animalistic voice ordered,
"Bow!" Immediately everyone bowed even my mate. I could see their wolves on the surface. None of them could resist my command. My father was in a half-bow, resisting for all he is worth. I repeat,
"Bow!" This makes everyone bow even more, forcing my father down. I finished walking up to him. "Do you believe me now? Never disrespect me! You started a useless war and heed the prophecy of your humans, 'She shall have power of the Alphas, all shall bow to her will. /Be careful not to anger this female / Who can stop a war or start it,' I am the Alpha Queen and no disrespect shall be tolerated!"
I regained control and forced Belle down. I turned away from him, but Arthur still resisted and said,
"Never!" I sighed and came back, bending down to snap his neck. I faced back towards everyone,
"Is there anyone else who wishes to challenge me?" The less dominant wolves literally buried their noses in the ground to show their submission while the Alphas still remain bowed going even lower. I only now realize that my White Wolves pack had been trailing me the entire time, half-bowed. I declare,
"Rise!" The wolves did, but still had their neck bowed in submission. It was funny to see all these powerful wolves all in submission to me. How the world has changed, from one of the famous six renegade Lunas to the first Luna Queen. Because our story had spread to the four corners of the Earth. Carson had earlier informed me that
I gather all the Alphas in front of me, including my brother, the new Alpha of the Thunder Manes pack. I hear Carson question me,
"What shall we do now, Alpha Queen?"
I nearly burst out laughing. It was hilarious to me to hear such fancy speech from my mate. I answer, trying to keep my cool,
"Well, Arthur has been disposed of, and we need to deal with his forces." Carson nods before advancing to my side as I turn back towards the two armies. Everyone is still standing there in shock. In a different situation, it would have been quite funny. Drawing on my power as Alpha Queen, my wolf had informed me that it was possible, I ordered,
"Those who stood with Alpha Carson come behind him! Those who fought under Arthur's orders stay in front of me!" Without even thinking, the werewolves' wolves took control and followed my command immediately. I could tell that there were a few potential troublemakers in the crowd by how jerky their movements were, like they were attempting to resist. In a few minutes, the two groups had been separated. I tell Carson,
"Talk to our people and lead them back towards the castle. I need to deal with the rogues and the leftover of the Thunder Mane pack." He growls in displeasure at the thought of being separated from me. I give him a look and he does as I asked, not happily of course. I hear him say to the others,
"The battle here is over. Our Alpha Queen can deal with the rest." There was a warrior who expressed his doubts,
"What do you mean, Alpha? She is just a female!" Carson growls lowly at him and the others back away from the stupid loud mouth warrior. He answers,
"I would suggest you watch your mouth, pup. If you missed it, the Alpha Queen single handedly stopped the war and killed their leader. She could kill you for your disrespect. Our Alpha Queen will lead us into a new age. She must command your respect at all times unless you wish to challenge her. Arthur tried and he could not even stop her from making him bow. You, pup, must be respectful and courteous at all time, especially to the Alpha Queen. And do not forget that I am a powerful Alpha in my own right and she is my mate. Do I make myself clear?" I was sort of touched by his speech. But I needed to focus on our other problems right now. When the others have left the field, I called out to the Thunder Mane pack and the rogues,
"Who shall speak for you?" Immediately, a buff warrior stepped up. From my perspective, it did not look as if he was the beta or even third in command, but rather someone who everyone liked or respected. I waited for him to speak. Eventually, he cleared his throat and asked,
"What are you planning on doing to us exactly, Alpha Queen?" I could tell he was very careful with the wording of his sentence. I nearly snorted, he expected me to be like all authority figures. I casually strolled over to him and answered him with a question of my own,
"Who are you?" I walked past him to some rocks where I sat down. He followed me and so did everyone's gazes. The warrior looked at me with what seemed like curiosity before replying,
"I am Mathieu, a rogue, Alpha Queen." It was interesting that a rogue also represented the Thunder Mane pack. The werewolves must really respect him.
"Well, Mathieu, what do you want?" He seemed shocked
"What do you mean, Alpha Queen?"
"I didn't stutter and stop with the Alpha Queen title. It is getting annoying." He looked at me like he was seeing me for the first time. Mathieu slowly said,
"You are a peculiar leader. Most men would be furious if I didn't." I smiled at him
"Lucky that I am not 'most men', I am not even a man." I got a chuckle out of him.
"I for one am grateful for your peculiarness. I feel like we will come to an understanding quickly."
"Good. Now answer my earlier question, Mathieu."
"Ah, yes. What do I want? The truth is as a rogue I speak for myself. I would like for the opportunity to join a pack. I miss pack life and being a rogue comes with hardships. Being forced to accept any kind of jobs like this one to make ends meet." I nod thoughtfully before facing the rest of the group,
"I want the Thunder Mane pack to go stand behind me and to my left, the rogues who wish to join a pack and to the right, those who wish to remain a rogue." The Thunder Mane pack quickly made its' way besides me. The majority of the rogues joined the left side. I added,
"Each group must pick a spokesperson who will speak for them." In a couple minutes, I had my three negotiators in front of me. One was Mathieu, another was James (the Beta of the Thunder Mane pack), and one was unknown to me. I asked him first,
"Introduce yourself." He bowed shortly and said,
"Lewis, Alpha Queen." Now that the introductions are out of the way. I explained out what I wanted from them,
"There are a lot of you, so I must trust you guys. From now until I say so, you are the leaders of each of your respective groups. For that, you must swear allegiance to me." They all looked suddenly very uncomfortable. I sighed. "Look, we all know the prophecy and honestly that means I am going to have deal with all the foreign werewolf royalty. What I do not need is fighting in North America to distract me. If you swear allegiance to me, all I want is your support and a promise that before getting involved in any huge conflicts you tell me. Is that okay?" I can see all of them are mind-linking their groups. I had made a non-permanent bond between each group. Eventually, they come back to me. Mathieu starts,
"My group agrees to your terms." He gets down on one knee and swears his allegiance and the one of his group. When he is done, James said,
"The Thunder Mane pack agrees to you terms on the condition that Zack is returned to us as Alpha." I smile at that because Zack is so well-loved by our pack. I nod my consent and he swears his allegiance. I turn to Lewis who says,
"My group agrees to your terms on the condition that an official "No Man's Land" is established for us to have a safe place." I nod and he swears his allegiance. At the end, I clap my hand together and declare,
"Now that that is done, we can get down to business. Beta James, I need you to tell me exactly how the Thunder Mane pack was involved in the war." He nods at me and answers,
"Our old Alpha Arthur was very ambitious and wished to call himself werewolf King. He dragged us into it by saying that you betrayed us by running away and later killing Zack and Zoe. You were all beloved in our pack. So, your pretended betrayal hit us hard. Arthur said he wanted vengeance on you for Zack and Zoe. I now know that this was a lie. I will personally deal with any troublemakers who truly follow your deceased father's ways will also follow him to their death."
"That is what I wanted to hear. You and your pack will stay near the castle until everything is sorted out. Now, Mathieu, is there any of your group which were forced to become rogues because they killed someone?" He quickly replies,
"All the murderous rogues were the crazy ones. All of those have been killed throughout the war. They were mostly used on the first attack on the castle and the others were all immediately killed when your power came through. They were weapons unto themselves, so your power recognized that and killed them." I looked at them thoughtfully before saying,
"None of you would be accepted in another pack, even mine. The wolves would be too nasty towards you. I guess then we have to make a new pack. What do you think?"
"It is true that rogues would be persecuted for what we are even if it is not our fault. I do like the idea of having a pack. I also have Alpha blood in my veins, and others here could hold different positions. This is a good idea." I clap my hands together,
"That is good. Come up with a name and find people to hold the different titles by the end of the day."
"Of course. If I might be so bold, I suggest that we return to the castle before your people believe that we kidnapped you." I laugh at him
"I think they would be more worried about you guys rather than me. My reputation is quite infamous." Lewis joins in my laughter while Mathieu just stares at us confused. Lewis explains through his light chuckles,
"Our Alpha Queen Isabella here ran from her mate, Carson, when they first met." Mathieu starts to smile and comments,
"Oh." Lewis continues,
"That is not even the best part. From there, she managed to get all of the other five bloodthirsty Alpha's mates safely away from them. It was hilarious because they were nicknamed the renegade Lunas because the Alpha did not want them to be rogues. This woman here escaped them for over two months, then let herself get caught to bargain with them. After that, the Alphas made a mistake and she ran again." Mathieu starts to laugh too. "Our Alpha Queen doesn't let anything happen that isn't on her own terms. I admire her for it and how annoyed the Alphas were when they were gone." James adds,
"She was a symbol of hope for all to end the total control that these bloodthirsty Alphas had on everyone. I guess she did in a way." I finally manage to get my laughter under control to say,
"That is just my reputation. Didn't Arthur tell you exactly what happened at the attack on the castle?" Now, everyone is interested because no one else had known. They all shake their heads to answer my question. "Elina, my beta for my very small, White Wolves Pack, was nearly killed in the battle. My powers let me heal her and then I went in a killing spree. Single-handedly killing all the remaining rogues over four hundred all by myself." Their mouths were hanging open in shock. Lewis recovers first,
"You're shitting us!" I smile even more
"No joke!"
"Huh, no wonder you're scary..."
"Hey, that's not nice!" He holds up his hands,
"I meant it in the best way possible." I playfully glare at him while he comments,
"You'll make a great Queen." I blush a deep crimson red and I don't usually blush at all,
"Seriously? Why?" He smiles at me,
"You don't give a fuck about the proper protocol, just keeping people safe. You are also not at all like other authority figures." I snort,
"I hope not, I personally have a very deep issue with authority." Lewis chuckles and the others finally recover from the shock my story gave them. I start walking towards the castle, leaving the others to follow. They do with Lewis still chuckling all to himself. I walk rather fast, leading the group to be able to make sure that no one accidentally attacks us. I mind-link Carson,
"I am heading back with everyone." Carson quickly replies,
"Everyone?"
"Yup, we solved our problems."
"Huh, should I send someone to clean up the bodies?" he joked.
"Not this time, I got along quite well with James, Mathieu and Lewis."
"YOU SPENT TIME ALONE WITH THEM?" I can literally feel the jealousy and possessiveness through the link. I try to calm him down,
"Of course not, Carson. They are the appointed leaders of each of their groups, and we talked in front of every one. You are my mate, Carson, no one else." The line was cheesy as fuck, but I needed to calm him down quickly before he went and did something stupid. It worked!
"Okay, Bella (nickname), but you better be here soon!"
"I will," I answer as I shut down the link. Soon enough, I am in front of the castle with a lot of warriors out front. Even if we won, they are still paranoid. I announce,
"Everyone in this group is under my protection. If you attack them without CLEAR provocation, I will have to kill you. Is that understood?" I hear a lot of,
"Yes, Alpha Queen." Great, they are already calling me by my title! I turn to those behind me,
"As for you guys, if any of you attack someone from my group, I will also end you. Even if they provoke you, stand strong and prove yourself as stronger. Only fight if they attack first! And don't provoke them unless you want to die!" Inside the castle, I use my enhanced hearing to listen in on a meeting between Alphas. I hear,
"What are we going to do about those nasty rogues?" Another answers,
"Kill them of course and torture them. I don't care what anyone says." This makes me insanely mad. Immediately, my dominance rises at such a challenge along with my powers. Every wolf around me can feel it and take a step back. No one wants to cross me in my state of anger. I nod at Mathieu, Lewis, James and my warriors to signal that I won't hurt any of them. They visibly relax at that. I turn to a the warrior nearest to me and order,
'Tell me where are the Alphas!" The poor guy is about to shit his pants, but he manages to mutter,
"The council room." I face away from him and growl out,
"I am going to kill them." The warriors tense up again at the thought of me killing their Alphas, but no one stops me. I make sure that no one can mind-link them to warn the Alphas of my coming. Hell was going to rain down on them! I storm into the castle, it was crowded, but people parted like the sea in front of me. I approach the room that they are in in time to hear,
"My wolf is freaking out! What is going on? . . . Shit!" I slam the door open to see all the Alphas excepting Carson (thank god!) and my brother. They all look up at me in a face of pure fear. I take a step forward and they take a step back unconsciously. I say in a very low and dangerous voice,
"What is going on here?" No one answers. Outside the room, I feel Elina, Sam, Emma, Emilia, and Miya rush in. I flood their brains with what happened and they become pissed. Their mates who had reached out to them now took a step away. I stare at them for a while into they are all on their knees with their neck exposed in submission. No one can match my glare. Carson walks clearly knowing nothing and takes into the situation. He smirks and comments,
"You know Shakespeare had it right when he said that 'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned'."
