INTERMISSION

"Um, hello?"

A head peers into a door and feebly whispers into the darkness. There wasn't anyone to be seen, the house was so silent. The fall of a single hair would have a resonating sound, such was the silence.

Mya made her way slowly into the house, her footsteps bringing out soft creaks and groans from the wooden floor. It had been dead for a long time. Abandoned and gone. Nobody even lived here, everyone had migrated back and continued with their own lives.

Traipsing towards the dust-caked sofa, she situated herself carefully so as to not send dust and parrot feathers flying everywhere. Those things were nasty, and required more than just anti-allergy tablets to revive from them.

Out of nowhere, the huge screen on the wall that was left blank for ages flickered with a hint of life. From minor static, the images formed and Mya was suddenly looking at a whole scene unfolding in front of her.

There were people running around what was once a fully-finished Guild house— purple parrot wallpapers, a smooth hardwood floor, purple couches, black coffee tables and that warmth of a true home.

"Is it illegal to move parrots across state lines?" Her own voice bit back at her as an echo. Old, fond memories were all coming back via this mysterious screen that came alive on its own.

"Party can turn into a parrot the size of a dragon."

"America has Apparation zoning for minors."

All the visuals came rolling in. The entry of Nik, the exhilaration of stealing a car, Party screaming merciless profanities, Rachel and her dog Pedro, Lani and her deformed katana, the sheep catastrophe.

Flash forward to the warm fireplace in the house, the holidays, the laughs and giggles, the BRAINS. Oh dear, the brains. What a lovely time that was.

Suddenly, a dark haired girl appeared on the screen, knocking her pale knuckles on the screen. Mya's eyes widened.

"You guys are so dead, oh my god. This needs to come back, eh?"

Mya nodded in stunned silence.

"Well guess what, it's going to come back very, very soon—OH!" the girl looked the other way with a huge grin. "Jungkook just showed his abs?!"

"Whitney, you're recording!" An annoyed voice came from behind. The girl shrugged and continued.

"Sorry, Ray! Um, what was I saying... yes! The Guild. Ahem, we love it as much as you do. And we are ready to bring it back, just like the old days."

"But who the hell is we?" Mya wondered out loud.

"You might be wondering who's the 'we' we're talking about. Huh?" Whitney questioned as if reading Mya's mind. "Well, we are the newest additions to the parrot family. Remember when you sent out those flyers—which could have used a better font choice and bevel option, by the way—asking for people to fill in to the Guild House? Well, we were given some 'simple' tasks," she huffed in exasperation, "which may or may not have included chasing mutant parrots around an entire farm." She muttered the last part.

Shaking her head, she continued. "Anyway—LUCAS! I told you not to eat my salad. It had shredded chicken on it, I loved it!"

"Don't worry, Whitney, I've got extras." A voice chirped.

"Thank you, Imogene! You're a sweetheart."

"Would you mind?" The voice which was earlier referred to as Ray's butted in.

"Whoops," Whitney grinned, "I keep losing track. Sigh."

"You also keep fake sighing." A male voice said.

"Shut up, Lucas."

For someone who looked so professional, Mya had never thought Whitney would have such an upbeat personality. These new additions were growing on her quite fast.

"So where was I again... The Guild! We are here to stay, and we won't leave until this place is back to its parroty glory again."

"Speaking of which, where is everyone anyway?" Whitney asked, half to herself, and half to the camera.

Where is everyone...
