Taisol
Taisol is the goddess of sun, sky, and winds. Many people also refer to her as the goddess of the hearth. She is said to be one of the oldest gods, existing even before Tarmae. There are legends that state if she or Umae were to ever fall, the world would cease to function, given that their realms of power are so important.
Taisol is generally viewed as a friendly, yet strict goddess. If there is a conflict between the gods, she's often the one the matter is brought to, and then her judgement on the matter is seen as final.
This personality trait can also be seen in her harpies. If they're said to be punishing without reason, many times the harpy in question will disappear. Rumors say that Taisol ordered them back to her home, to be punished themselves.
At the same time, she's been said to love all her children. There's an open invitation for them to return to her on their own, and the general public avoids interfering with harpy business for fear of drawing Taisol's wrath. Unlike Inna, she doesn't always give harsh punishments for the harm of her children, as she's said that they've the right to live their own lives, and sometimes that life means danger that cannot be avoided. There have been times over the years, however, when she's reacted in anger over a death. Typically it was a death without reason--or when the harpy was young.
Taisol's godly twin is Umae. The two of them get along rather well, taking the parental-like roles in the pantheon of gods. Of course, this means they occasionally disagree over things the other gods do--Taisol views Umae as too lenient towards Inna, and Umae views the same of Taisol when it comes to Koun's antics. Seeing as their godly partners are good friends, and rather mischievous when put together, Taisol and Umae are said to often spend time together just to vent about their partners.
Taisol, Koun, and Aion have an open relationship. While legend says that Taisol rarely, if ever, takes advantage of this, it also states that Koun has often taken lovers--about once per century. Many believe that Taisol and Koun have a rule between the two of them about him taking human lovers--which is why the number has never been excessive. Aion is said to be closer to Koun than Taisol, but little is known about if these rumors are true.
It is said that Taisol's happiness when she and Koun are together lends to excellent weather. The sun is softer, and the winds light. When they argue, harsh summer heat and severe winds tend to be more common. That is, until Umae or Aion visits and Taisol calms.
Given her title as the goddess of the hearth, and mothers, her temples are seen as a refuge for children, and sometimes parents, who have nowhere to go. Halfway houses and orphanages are common attachments. Her followers are as much caretakers as they are priests. If one harms a child, or a parent, in their care they're said to be given harsh punishment by Taisol, to the point that death would be kinder.
