Elena took a moment to process before she asked "Why did Mikael start hunting Klaus?" Elena asked.

"Didn't Elijah already explain this?"Kiara muttered to herself.

"When Nik made his first human kill, it triggered his werewolf gene. With that, he became my father's greatest shame."Rebekah sighed.

Elena spoke "Yeah. Elijah told me this part of the story. Your mother had had an affair with one of the werewolf villagers. Klaus wasn't his son."

"Your father Niklaus for his wife's adultery?"Kiara inquired, disbelief written on her face to which Rebekah nodded and said "She tried to make it right. She put the hybrid curse on Nik to suppress his werewolf side, and then she turned her back on him. But Mikael's greatest weakness as a human was his pride. As a vampire, that was magnified. He went on a rampage and killed half the village. Then he came home and killed her."

"Mikael killed your mother?"Elena whispered, stunned at the blonde's revelation.

Kiara stared blankly at the fireplace.

"He said she broke his heart so he would break hers. He tore it from her chest as Nik watched. Afterwards, my father took off in a rage, and the rest of my family scattered. Nik, so he could help me bury her. He knew I had to say goodbye to my mother. Then Elijah, Nik and I, we made a vow. To stick together as one. Always and forever." Rebekah explained.

Kiara smiled at it, knowing how much it meant to her. It signified family. Kiara respected the Mikaelson siblings and their vow of loyalty to each other.

"Always and forever...even though he locked you in a coffin for ninety years?"Elena  repeated the phrase and spoke in a judgy way to the Original

"They're still family."Kiara pointed out.

Rebekah said, nodding at her words "We're vampires. Our emotions are heightened. I'm stubborn, Elijah moral, and Nik...Nik has no tolerance for those who disappoint him. Over a thousand years as a family we've all made that mistake at least once. I've made it several times."

"But you still love him?" Elena asked.

"He's her brother., Elena."Kiara stated.

"And I'm immortal. Should I spend an eternity alone instead? You've heard the story, it's time for us to go. I'm leaving, Elena! I don't know what you're up to, but I'm no longer playing along." Rebekah snapped at Elena.

"I'm just looking for one good reason why we shouldn't wake Mikael." Elena remarked.

"And she has given you a thousand! How could possibly say that, Elena?"Valerie said furiously.

They ran toward the door, to leave.

"But you'll do it anyway, right Elena? Because that's what you do, anything to save your own skin, doesn't matter the consequences!" Kiara exclaimed.

"It's no secret that I want Klaus dead. He has a hold over Stefan's life, and over mine. Even Kiara's."Elena replied.

"I'm not your fucking bargaining chip. Use my fucking name to get your again again and I rip out your eyeballs."Kiara threatened.

"Do what you need. Wake Mikael at your own peril. But make no mistake, if you come after my brother, I will rip you apart. And I get my temper from my father." Rebekah threatened the doppelgänger.

Valerie, Kiara and Rebekah spun around and walked out the door.

Lesser than an hour later, Rebekah, Valerie and Kiara were at Kiara and Derek's house and while walking up the living room, Rebekah says to Kiara"You know I can't believe you and my brother are still not together."

"I am not in love with him for fuck sake, Bekah. I thought you understand that."Kiara said.

"I do. I do. Sorry, I brought it up."Rebekah told her.

"My feelings for your brother are complicated. I need time to figure them out."The siphon sighed.

They walked into the living room.

While Rebekah was pouring them drinks, Elena walked through the room.

Kiara gave her a glare but Elena was only focused on Rebekah.

"How dare you come to my home?! You have no place here. I could press charges against you for breaking into our home." The siphon girl exclaimed, glaring at the doppelgänger.

Elena forced herself inside the room.

They glared at her.

"How do you know that Mikael killed your mother?" Elena asked Rebekah.

"Nik was there. He told me."Rebekah replied, not understanding where the conversation was heading.

Kiara's eyes widened as she looked between the blonde and brunette before saying "This isn't going to end well."

Elena ignored the siphon once again and told the Original "He lied to you."

"And how do you know that?"Rebekah scoffed.

"The cave where you carved your family's names is covered in symbols. The story of your family: how your parents arrived, how they made peace, the spell that turned them into vampires, and this. This is the symbol for hybrid. It's a combination of the werewolf and the vampire symbol. And this is the symbol for tribrid. And this is the one for your mother." Elena said, looking at the original as she laid the images of the symbols on the table, pointing to the one that meant hybrid before pointing to the one that meant Elena's necklace.

"Her necklace." Rebekah whispered.

"And this is the story of her death. The hybrid killed the Original Witch. Not Mikael. Klaus."Elena stated.

"No! No, he wouldn't." Rebekah said, refusing to believe it. Valerie and Kiara could tell from her tone that she was on the verge of snapping.

"Alright, enough..."Valerie began.

Elena continued to talk, ignoring the heretic and the siphon who watched the blonde with concern "She put the curse on him, made it so that he would be the only one of his kind, and then she rejected him. With the werewolf gene comes aggression and violence...when he turned, all of that was heightened. He killed her, Rebekah. And then he made up this entire lie about your father, so that he wouldn't lose you."

"These mean nothing! They're just stupid drawings, done by stupid people who had no idea who my family was!"Rebekah yelled as she picked them up, walking over to the fireplace, tossing the images into the fire place.

"Then why are you so upset?" Elena asked.

"Stop, Elena! Can't you see it's upsetting her!"Valerie yelled.

"Why are you doing this to me? I've done nothing to you!" Rebekah said, tears in her eyes.

Kiara instantly stood in front of the vampire, stopping the doppelgänger from reaching her.

"Shut it!"Kiara yelled, concern washing over her at the blonde's state.

The curly haired girl clenched her fist, watching as Elena began gasping heavily for air and fell to the floor clutching her throat.

"Why are you hel... helping her? They're the bad guys. They're ruining my life."Elena managed to get out, trying to take more gulps of air in.

"Exactly. Yours. Not mine. Rebekah hasn't done anything and now you're using her to get to Klaus. I don't give a shit about your vendetta against him."Kiara stated before she released the spell making Elena breathe heavily.

Elena managed to clutch onto the armrest of the room and began yelling at Rebekah who looked seconds away from ripping the doppelgänger apart "Klaus killed your mother. He has a hold on you, on me, on everyone. He has for a thousand years. We have to make it stop!"

Rebekah became overwhelmed and instantly had the doppelgänger against the wall, hand wrapped around her throat, vampire eyes and fangs on full display as she yelled back "Shut up! Shut up! Don't talk anymore! Nothing!"

Kiara shoves Elena out of the Original's arms and holds her while she continued to break down. The two of them fell on their knees while the blonde released more heart-wrenching sobs.

"Get Out of My fucking house before I do something your boy toys won't like."Kiara spoke lowly, a dangerous tone in her voice as her gaze switched from the brunette to the blonde for a few seconds.

The doppelgänger froze for a few seconds making Kiara throw a fireball, only missing on purpose by an inch to which Elena shot up and out of the house.

Kiara and Valerie embraced Rebekah and Rebekah cried and sobbed in their arms.
