The next day, Lola was at her work, the Java Brew, where she work part time as a barista.

Lola was wearing a top with a long skirt and some boots.

Lola was serving coffees to some clients when Elijah and Elena walked in.

"What are you doing here?" Lola asked.

"He want you to come with us. He won't tell me anything unless you come with us."Elena explained.

"Let me go see my boss and ask if I can go now.  Then we can go."Lola sighed before walking away to talk to her boss and her boss said it was okay.

When her boss told her it was okay, they left. 

Later, the three arrived at the Lockwood house.

"Why are we at the Lockwood's place?"Lola asked.

Elijah decided not to answer this question and knocked on the door.

Carol opened the door, saying "Elijah! Elena, Lola, what are you doing here?"

She caught sight of the man's appearance and asked "What happened?"

"I've had a bit of an incident, Carol. I'm hoping you could help."Elijah replied.

"Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I..." Carol started but Elijah compelled her "It won't take but a minute of your time."

Immediately, she responded with a smile "Of course. Anything you need."

"Thank you."Elijah said.

Elijah stepped in the house, the three girls following as he says "Well, first things first. I'm going to need a change of clothing."

"Well, we can try one of my husband's suits. I haven't boxed them up yet."Carol suggested and begins going upstairs towards one of their many bedrooms.

"Wonderful."Elijah responded coolly.

"How did you know she's not on vervain?"Elena asked while Lola was playing with her fingers.

"'Cause I'm the one who got her off it. Right before you and your friends, excluding Lola and Derek killed me. Twice. If you'll excuse me. I'll be down in a moment."Elijah remarked making Lola snort in amusement.

The three of them had seated themselves in the living room. Elijah and Lola were on the armchairs while Elena sat in the middle of the 3-person couch.

"So I assume that the Martin witches are no longer with us."Elijah implored, looking between the doppelgänger and the siphon girl.

"No, they killed them. That is what Elena and her stupid friends know what to do best. Fuck people's lives."Lola said.

Elena glared at her before she said to Elijah "No. I'm sorry."

"And Katerina? She would have been released from my compulsion when I died." The Original inquired.

"Klaus took her. We think that she may be dead." Elena said.

Lola scoffed making the duo turn their heads towards her as she rolled her eyes before explaining "I hightly doubt that after 500 years of chasing her, Klaus would just end her life immediately. If it was me, I would've prolongued it for as long as possible. "

"Yes, I doubt that. Not Klaus' style. Death would be too easy for her after what she did."Elijah agreed.

"I don't understand. You say that you want Klaus dead, but you still made Katherine pay for betraying him."Elena frowned.

"He has his own reasons for wanting Katerina to pay."Lola defended Elijah.

" There was a time...I'd have done anything for Klaus. You see, he is my brother."Elijah spoke.

"Tell me something I don't know."Lola retorted.

"You knew?" Elena asked.

"Yes, well you see the thing is Elene when you're raised in a supernatural household you tend to hear things about other supernatural beings. And the story of the first ever vampire family created is a pretty big one."Lola explained slowly like she was talking to an idiot child, in this moment she so wanted to punch Elena in the face.

"I'm still processing."The doppelgänger managed to get out.

"Yes, I'm a little behind on the times, but I believe the term you're searching for is O.M.G."Elijah smirked as he took a sip of his tea.

Lola laughed at his words and gave him a high five.

The Original stood up and walked up to the mirror on the wall and examined his appearance.

"There's a whole family of Originals?"Elena asked.

Elijah responded "My father was a wealthy land owner in a village in Eastern Europe. Our mother bore seven children."

"So your parents were human?"Elena asked.

"Well, vampires can't procreate."Lola pointed out.

Elijah nodded before speaking "That is correct, Lola. Our origin as vampires is a very long story, Elena. Just know...We're the oldest vampires in the world. We are the Original family, and from us all vampires were created."

Elena voiced her thoughts "Right, but Klaus is your brother. And you want him dead?"

"I need some air. I'm still feeling a tad...dead. Come."Elijah said and they walked outside in the garden.

Elijah began explaining "So as you've seen, nothing can kill an Original. Not Sun, not fire, not even a werewolf bite. Only the wood from one tree. A tree my family made sure burned."

"That's where the white ash for the dagger comes from."Lola concluded.

Elijah said, nodding "Yes. The witches won't allow anything truly immortal to walk the earth. Every creature needs to have a weakness in order to maintain the balance."

"Don't you just love witches? If anything isn't to their liking, they make it out to be impure. Even if you have no control over it."Lola remarked sarcastically.

"So the Sun can't kill an Original. Why is Klaus so obsessed with breaking the Sun and Moon curse?"Elena asked as she wanted to be included.

"Right. The curse of the sun and the moon. It's all so...biblical-sounding, don't you think?"Elijah smiled teasingly.

"What's so funny?" Elena frowned.

"You are really stupid. He's making fun of the curse and how it sounds. But for Klaus  to go through all this trouble, it must be hiding something or helping in some way."Lola scoffed.

Lola has always been really intelligent.

Elijah then explained how his brother Klaus drew the Aztec drawings.

"I don't understand..."Elena began.

"When do you ever?"Lola interrupted, rolling her eyes.

Elena continued making Lola sigh "So Klaus drew the Aztec sketches about the curse?"

"Are you really that dense?" Lola scoffed.

"Roman scrolls, African tribal etchings, and any other culture or continent we felt like planting in it."Elijah stated.

"But why?" Elena asked.

The Original answered "Easiest way to discover the existence of a doppelgänger or to get your hands on some long, lost moonstone is to have every single member of two warring species on the lookout."

Elena asked "So it's not Aztec at all?"

"For fuck sake, Elena, use your damn brain. But then again you don't have any. The curse of the Sun and the Moon...is fake. It doesn't exist."Lola groaned.

"What?" Elena asked.

"Klaus and I faked the sun and moon curse dating back over a thousand years." Elijah informed.

"But if there's no curse..."The doppelgänger trailed off wanting to hear the reasoning behind Klaus wanting to kill her.

Elijah explained "There's a curse. Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus."

"What are you talking about?" Elena asked.

"Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years. And you are his only hope." Elijah said.

While saying this, Elena's phone keeps vibrating in Elijah's pocket.

"What is this curse?" Elena asked.

The vampire pulled out the phone out of his phone and said, handing Elena her phone "Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please."

The doppelgänger took the device, sighing as she answered it "Stefan. What's wrong? No. No, no, no, no. Okay, I'll be right there."

She hangs up and looked at Elijah and said "Klaus went after Jenna. I have to go to her."

"I'm afraid that wasn't part of today's arrangement."Elijah stated.

"She's my family, Elijah. I have to. I'll be back. You have my word." Elena told him.

"That doesn't mean anything to me until you live up to it."Elijah said.

"Thank you."Elena sighed before she left.

The two sat down on a bench as Elijah asked "So how are you?"

"I'm good."Lola replied.

"How is Derek?"Elijah asked as he was found of the werewolf.

"He's getting used to his new status as an evolved werewolf."Lola told him.

"What?"Elijah frowned.

"That's right. You missed it. I helped him by turning him into an evolved werewolf."Lola said.

"How?"Elijah asked.

"I used magic obviously. And the celestial event to do the ritual. And now he's stronger than the average werewolf. He can shift at will."Lola smirked.

They had continued talking for about half an hour and Elijah telling Lola about how their family once ruled New Orleans. 

"Welcome back."Elijah says as he watched Elena run over to them.

The three made their way inside and Elena removed her jacket from the heat she was feeling.

"Tell me. What is Klaus' curse?" The doppelgänger demanded.

"Please."Elijah said as he gestured to a chair.

Elena seemed a bit annoyed as she sat down in the seat.

"My family was quite close, but Klaus and my father did not get on too well. When we became vampires, we discovered the truth. Klaus was not my father's sons. My mother had been unfaithful many years before. This was her darkest secret. Klaus was from a different bloodline. Of course, when my father discovered this, he hunted down and he killed my mother's lover and his entire family. Not realizing, of course, that he was igniting a war between species that rages until this day."Elijah explained.

"A war between the species?"Elena questioned.

Lola stated "The vampires and the werewolves."

"This is correct."Elijah said, nodding.

Elena clarified his words "So Klaus' real father was from a werewolf bloodline. What does that make Klaus? A werewolf? Or a vampire?"

Lola realised "He's both. A hybrid. Part Vampire, Part Werewolf. The first of his kind."

"A hybrid would be deadlier than any werewolf or vampire. Nature would not stand for such an imbalance of power. Therefore the witches, the servants of nature, saw to it that my brother' werewolf side would become dormant."Elijah continued and the siphoner couldn't help but feel sympathy for the man. Having to go a thousand years with a part of you locked away would've been excruciating.

"That's the curse that Klaus wants to break?" The doppelgänger questioned.

"He wants to trigger that part of him that's a werewolf. "Lola said.

"If allowed, Klaus would sire his own bloodline. He'd build his own race. Endangering not just vampires, but everyone."Elijah added.

"But you helped him?"Elena asked in a confused manner.

"I helped him because I loved him. That's changed, now he must die."Elijah said.

Lola immediately stood up after he said that, and looked him in the eye before telling him "You can't have stopped loving him. It's almost impossible, especially since he is your brother. He always will be your brother. As much as you might try, you are never going to stop loving him."

"We have the dagger now. We can stop him."Elena said, not really wanting to think about what Lola  had just said because she didn't want to accept the truth.

"It won't work. When a werewolf is wounded by silver, it heals. Klaus was born a werewolf and despite it being locked away it's still technically there. An Original can't be killed by anything but white oak ash on a silver dagger. The dagger does not work."Lola stated.

"What, are you saying that Klaus can't be killed?"The doppelgänger cried out, worried that there will be no way to stop them.

"There's one way to kill any supernatural species...at the hands of the servants of nature themselves."Elijah responded.

"A witch. If they can channel that much power. But it would kill them."Elena realized.

"The curse must be broken during the full moon. When Klaus is in transition. That's when he'll be at his most vulnerable. A witch with enough power...can kill Klaus."Elijah informed.

"What if I told you that I knew a witch that could channel that much power? Lola could even siphon the moonstone and..."Elena begins but Lola cut her off "No."

"What do you mean 'no'?" Elena asked.

"As much as I love my sister, this is too risky. Risking our fucking lives to kill Klaus just for you. I won't lose another sibling because of you being alive. No way, no. And I happen to not like you at all. Your life doesn't mean anything to me Ellen and I sure as hell won't risk a temperamental hybrid hunting me and Derek like he did Katherine for 500 years just for you."Lola said, shaking her head.

Elijah understood where she was coming from before Lola told the doppelgänger "Enjoy your life, Ellen. It happens to be numbered."

Lola then created a portal to teleport away.
