The Five Part Two
Lola stepped into the torture room where Connor is now conscious, chained to the torture device as she mused "It's very Christian Grey of you."
She slides beside Klaus, eyes looking the hunter up and down in glee before she taunted the hunter "Aw, hun, the shackles too tight?"
"Welcome home, sister."Klaus greeted causing Kiara to turn around to find Rebekah and Stefan entering the room.
"Is this a trick? How do you know he's one of the Five? Where's his bloody tattoo?"Rebekah questioned while studying the hunter.
"Oh, the tattoos aren't visible on this lot like they were on the last. Let's eat."Klaus said before collecting Kiara's hand and leading them out of the room. Rebekah and Stefan trailing after.
Klaus, Stefan, Rebekah and Lola were all sitting around a table with food in front of them and wine in their glasses.
A pretty girl was serving them food.
"Thank you, my lovely."Klaus says as the girl walked off after serving them their food.
Lola gritted her teeth, squashing down the petty jealously that spreads though her until Klaus' hand delicately lands on her right tight.
Klaus then said "I could kiss the Council for burning up all the vervain in town. They made my life so much easier. Rebekah, love, eat your veggies."
"I'm not eating until you apologize." Rebekah replied.
"For which indiscretion? There have been so many." Klaus shrugged, amused.
"You broke my neck." Rebekah spat.
"You threw away Elena's blood so I can't make any more hybrids." Klaus snapped back.
"Because you took me for granted." Rebekah hissed earning an eye roll from Klaus.
"That's what big brothers do, sweetheart!" Klaus gritted his teeth together.
"Fuck, this is bringing back memories of my family's dinner."Lola muttered, picking up her wine glass.
"Let me just name the million other people I'd rather be having dinner with right now." Stefan muttered under his breath.
"Nik. Apologize."Lola says sternly.
Klaus says instantly, flickering his eyes from Lola to Rebekah "Alright, fine. I'm sorry. I often forget how delicate you are. Forgive me?"
"I'll take it under consideration." Rebekah says, nodding her head slightly.
"Okay, good. Now, why don't you tell me about Rebekah's hunter?" Stefan suggested urgently.
"Right, Alexander. Nice chap foregoing the obvious issues. He was looking for creatures of the night which is why they felt quite safe around him wearing our daylight rings. We acted as if we wanted vampires dead and he told us about his little crusade. Five men bound to a single cause: the destruction of all vampires with the ultimate weapon."Klaus explained.
"So, that's what this is about? A weapon." Stefan says in disbelief.
"What kind of weapon?"Lola pressed, intrigued.
"Not just any weapon." Rebekah says, shaking her head.
"Rebekah, love, don't get ahead of the story."Klaus smirked as he lifted his wine glass to his lips. Earning a small annoyed huff from the blonde.
"How is a weapon the answer to all my prayers? Okay. Why don't we just skip with the theatrics and get right to the point?" Stefan asked, irritated.
"I agree."Lola piped in with raised brows.
"Not quite yet, because in order to find this weapon, we need to solve the puzzle. Which seems to have disappeared."Klaus revealed.
"What puzzle?" Stefan questioned in puzzlement.
"The tattoo?"Lola guessed, crossing her legs over, entrapping Klaus' hand from rising.
"Precisely." Klaus says, nodding with a smirk, as he pulled his hand out and resting it atop of her other thigh, gripping the flesh tightly.
"Well, what does it do?" Lola asked as she attempted to pry Klaus hand off her thigh as it slowly rose higher up her leg.
"A map. Leading us to its treasure." Klaus explained.
"Fat lot of good a tattoo's gonna do, if we can't see it."Rebekah muttered, tone laced in annoyance.
"We can't, but someone else can." Klaus says.
"Why don't you tell the hybrid to bring him in, love?" Klaus compelled the human girl.
The human girl walked away.
"You see, the hunter was so eager to get to the bottom of his mystery tattoos that he mentioned there was only one other person that can see them." Klaus continued with an amused grin.
Lola furrowed her bows as a hybrid walked into the room with Jeremy Gilbert, thrashing about in his hold. Lola pursed her lips as her eyes met the Gilbert's.
Stefan sped out of his chair, rushing toward the young boy only to get pushed away by Klaus who stood between them and said "I wouldn't."
The hybrid placed his hand on Stefan's chest as he continued "Lucky for us, young Jeremy here, is a bit of an artist."
"I'm not helping you with anything." Jeremy spat.
The hybrid grabs Jeremy's hand and takes his ring off. He tosses it to Klaus who catches it. He holds it up for Jeremy to see.
"Oh, I'm afraid you are."Klaus mused, tauntingly holding the ring up to the Gilbert's boy face as he ordered one of his hybrid's to take the teenager to the chained up hunter.
"So, tell me more about this tattoo."Stefan demanded, looking towards the hybrid with a pointed look.
"Our sister's suitor was unwilling to tell us anything. Rebekah, however, was more than willing to investigate. Isn't that right?" Klaus revealed, walking across the room to pour himself another drink.
Rebekah looked down at the table in shame as her mind flooded with the memories of 1114 Italy.
"He showed Rebekah the dagger and the white oak ash before plunging it in her heart. Our sister's boyfriend threw a slumber party that night. He and his brothers put us all down in our sleep. Elijah, Kol, Finn, and me." Klaus continued as he looked toward his sister with raised eyebrows.
"How was I supposed to know?" Rebekah scoffed slightly, the guilt easting at her.
"Cheers, to my sister's uncanny ability to choose men." Klaus taunted with a smirk, mockingly raising his glass.
Lola shoots Klaus a look and the hybrid lowers his glass as she said "Stop being a dick, it's not her fault."
" I thought the daggers didn't work on you because of your werewolf side."Stefan inputs.
"They don't. As soon as I realized what had happened, we killed them all an undaggered our siblings. "Klaus smirked.
He then turned to his sister and says "Go ahead, Rebekah. Tell him. Tell him what the hunter told you the tattoo leads to. What is this great weapon that could bring about the end of the vampire species?"
Lola and Stefan looked eagerly toward Rebekah.
Rebekah breathed "A cure. He said there was a cure."
"There is no cure for vampirism."Stefan says, shaking his head in disbelief.
" He's telling the truth, Stefan." Rebekah told Stefan.
"Why didn't you look for it, then?" Lola asked.
"Because when the hunters drew their final breath that night, the marks disappeared from their body, the map was gone, the brotherhood of the Five extinct. For nine hundred years, there was not a whisper of another hunter, until our friend in there showed up in town." Klaus explained.
"Well, now we have the map, what do we do next?" Rebekah asked.
"We don't do anything. You can't be trusted, little sister. You'll be blabbing this secret to the first boy who calls you pretty. I mean, it's pathetic, really, isn't it? How she continues to hand her heart to any man who shows her a hint of affection. You'd think she would have learned by now from the endless cycle of disappointment and deception."Klaus told her.
Rebekah yelled "But, I haven't, instead I stayed with you and let you leech every moment of happiness from my life! You know, at least I fared better then Finn, Klaus left him daggered because he was tired of his judgment."
Klaus snapped "No, Finn was a dullard. He was more interesting lying in a box."
"You want the cure for Elena, don't you? So you can go back to mass producing your hybrids. That's why you brought Stefan here, because you knew that he'd help you even though he hates your guts! You know what? You can shove your cure."Rebekah scoffed.
Rebekah then stalks out of the mansion and Klaus smirked only until Kiara smacked his chest.
"Well, I hope you got what you wanted out of her before you chased her off."Stefan says.
Lola narrowed her eyes at Klaus as she said "I hope you didn't."
"She never would have told me what I needed to know. But she'll tell you."Klaus told Stefan, a gleam in his eyes.
Stefan asked hesitantly "What do you need me to find out?"
"The map is useless without the tool to decipher it."Klaus said, as he glanced at Kiara, waiting for her to answer but the siphon ignored him.
"The sword."Stefan says instead.
Klaus grinned "She knows where it is. And you're gonna get her to tell you. You have a chance to save Elena from the very thing that is going to destroy her. You can call it a deal with the devil, if you like. But you know you won't walk away from it."
Later on, Lola was sitting at the edge of the desk, phone tucked underneath her chin when she heard Klaus' light footsteps approach as she prompted "Rebekah's not picking up the phone."
She glanced up at Klaus, noting the grim expression and shakes her head before she scoffed "I can't believe you... no that's not true, I cannot believe you've done this, again."
"I did what I had to do."Klaus defended, sliding in front of Kiara, hovering over her.
Lola tilted her head up, brown eyes narrowing into blue as she asked "How is that hard to trust her? We know she wants the cure; she won't do anything to jeopardise it, Nik."
"I can't take the chance that she will, unintentionally or otherwise."Klaus said.
Lola pinched the bridge of her nose and shakes her head and doesn't know what else to say so she just sighed "I'm going back at my place."
Klaus' eyes widen as she begins head out of the room.
Klaus pleaded quietly, latching his hand on her forearm and spinning her around "No, Lola. Stay. Please stay."
Lola sucks in a breath as his thumb caressed her cheekbone and murmured "I'll make it up to you."
"Undagger Rebekah."She demanded.
Klaus sighed and shakes his head making a frustrated noise climb from Kiara's throat "I can't, sweetheart."
"You're such a big pain in my ass."Lola groaned.
Klaus smirked "Perhaps, dinner in Italy can makes up for it."
