After the atypical Mikaelson reunion, Klaus grabbed Kiara's hand and led her out of the back door of the house. He used his vampire speed to bring them to the woods.

The siphon girl didn't want his family listening to the conversation and Valerie went to her apartment she was leaving to take her stuff before she would move to the mansion.

"What do you think about it?" Klaus asked Kiara. His voice was a bit quiet, from the stress of seeing his mother again.

"About your mom?" The siphon girl spoke.

The original nodded.

"How do you feel about what she said?"Kiara says.

"I don't feel like I can trust her. After all, I did kill her." Klaus admitted.

"Yeah. I didn't get the impression she was telling the truth. And I'm pretty sure Valerie felt the same way."Kiara told him, nodding.

"I value your thoughts and opinions, love. You don't have to hold back. You're my mate." Klaus told her.

"It's still your mother."Kiara stated.

The hybrid grabbed her hand. Suddenly, Kiara was aware of how close they were standing. He looked deep into her eyes and whispered "Tell me."

"I just have this really strong feeling that she wants to hurt you. It was like all of my instincts were screaming danger and I just can't shake my head of it. And what she said to us." Kiara says.

The original nodded. He moved their intertwined hands up and gently kissed the back of her hand.

It was silent for a few moments, although it wasn't awkward. The only sounds that could be heard was the occasional movement of squirrels or the sounds of tree branches blowing in the soft breeze.

Klaus kept his gaze on the ground as he says "My siblings hate me."

"They don't hate you, they just need time." Kiara told him as she copied his previous action, and raised their intertwined hands to her lips. She softly kissed the back of his hand.

He looked back up into her eyes. She felt like a lifeline, a breath of fresh air. It was like the rest of the world faded away when he looked into her eyes. The siphon girl drew him in, the shades of mischief that seemed to appear in her irises brought him a sense of peace.

Gazing into her eyes made him forget about his problems, even if only briefly. She was like a drug. And he couldn't help but get addicted.

"It'll be okay." The comforting words left her lips like a warm hug.

And the hybrid found himself believing her.

Because as long as he had her, these words would be true.

"I should probably go. "Kiara says.

"Let me give you a quick ride home. " Klaus told her.

They get out of the Mikaelson mansion.

Kiara and Klaus get into Klaus car as Klaus drove to her house. When they arrived, Kiara says goodbye to Klaus, kissing his cheek before getting inside her home. Klaus get inside his car and drove away after that.

At the hospital, it was nighttime. Matt was standing in a hallway and Elena walked up to him.

"How's Mr. Saltzman?" Matt asked.

"Resigned to spending the night in observation, so long as I promise to change the lock on the house. So I talked to Bonnie earlier. She and her mom are fine. Have you talked to Caroline?" Elena answered as they walked toward the exit.

"Yeah, she's holding it together, considering how close she and her dad used to be. Any word on who's behind these attacks?" Matt told her.

"No, Sheriff Forbes said there's no real suspects at all. How are you dealing with everything? I mean, you keep getting dragged into all of this." Elena replied as they were walking outside the hospital in the parking lot.

"Honestly...I'm kind of lucky, the only thing that I have to worry about for tomorrow, is showing up for my shift at the Grill." Matt admitted.

"Thank you, for everything today. Really." Elena smiled.

"Get home safe." Matt told her.

"Thanks." Elena said before she turned around.

She got to her car, trying to find her keys in her bag. She shut the car door then she does. She put her seatbelts as she waved to Matt who was in his truck. Elena put the keys in the ignition, before starting the car, the engine roaring to life. As she started to pull out, they came to an abrupt stop as Elena hit something. She gasped, surprised "What?"

She get out of the car and looking for what she hit. But there was nothing there.

Elena frowned in confusion, before dicing to get back into the car. As she turned around however, Rebekah was there. Elena gasped in surprise and shock.

"Drive much?" Rebekah asked.

"Rebekah" Elena says before Rebekah put her in a chokehold, slamming her against the car.

"Surprised? You tried to drove a dagger through my back, Elena. You hurt my feelings." Rebekah then says and her vampire face came out. She then tried to bite Elena and Elena screamed. Suddenly, Elijah rushed and holds Rebekah against a car by her throat.

"Elijah" Rebekah breathed.

"Leave" Elijah says as he removed his hand from his sister's neck. Rebekah didn't make a move to leave, instead stepping closer.

"Are you challenging me?" Elijah questioned.

"You're pathetic." Rebekah stated before turning toward Elena.

"Both of you." She added before vamp speeding away.

Elijah then turned to Elena, saying "Well...I believe we have a little catching up to do."

The next day, Kiara walked at the Mikaelson Mansion to find music was playing. Rebekah and Valerie were having their nails polished by some assistants. Kol was standing before a full-length mirror wearing a black evening suit while a tailor adjusted it. Finn and Elijah were also standing in the room preparing for the ball.

Kiara was wearing a top with a jean and some boots.

"What in the hell going on here?" Kiara asked.

"We are doing a ball this evening in the honor of our dearest mother." Elijah explained.

"That make sense I guess. " Kiara commented.

Kol admired himself in the mirror as he says to his sister "Rebekah? Tell me how handsome I am."

"Ah Kol, you know I can't be compelled." The Original sister replied.

Kol walked towards Kiara and said "Hi, darling. We haven't been introduced. I am Kol."

"Kiara."Kiara smiled.

The door opened and Klaus walked in and up to Rebekah.

"You went after Elena? What is wrong with you?!" Klaus exclaimed.

"Here we go." Rebekah says, rolling her eyes.

"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus threatened.

"Again with the dagger threats? Don't you have any other tricks?" Kol defended Rebekah.

Klaus glanced back at his brother and mockingly responded "Oh, go back to staring at yourself."

"And who are you, my father?" Kol retorted.

"No, Kol, but you're in my house." Klaus scoffed.

Kol stepped toward his brother, saying "Then perhaps we should go outside."

The two brothers glared at each other. The drama ended when Esther appeared in the doorway.

"Enough!" She commanded.

" Niklaus. Come." The witch spoke to her son.

Kiara's body was back in fight mode. Her eyes immediately found the hybrid. He shook his head, assuring her that he would be fine.

Kiara watched as the original left the room to follow Esther.

She realized the witch wouldn't try anything right now. The thought calmed her, and she leaned back against the couch.

Kiara used her portals to teleport away.

In another room, Klaus asked Esther "Rebekah wasn't even out of her box a day before she tried to ruin my life. What happened to peace, acceptance, family?"

"You put daggers in their hearts. You want them to go down on their knees and kiss your feet for reuniting them?" Esther stated.

" So it's a crime to want our family to be as we were?" Klaus countered.

"You need to give it time, Niklaus. I've had a thousand years on the other side to be angry and to heal. I'm here to make sure this family does the same." Esther explained.

"I just don't understand.  I killed you, and still you forgive us." Klaus spoke.

Esther took a few steps closer to Klaus.

"It's been my dream for a thousand years that this family could be as one. Forgiveness is not a chore. It's a gift." Esther smiled, causing Klaus to give a small smile that only lasted a second before his face turned neutral again.

"Now, who are you bringing to the ball this evening? I think it'll be the beautiful girl that was here last night, Kiara was it? Kiara Parker?" Esther smiled. Klaus sighed with a slight chuckle, revealing his perfect teeth.

"Don't be ridiculous. You're lucky I'm even going." Klaus told her.

"Well, I wish you would reconsider. It is going to be a magical evening. And who knows? I believe Kiara would look lovely wearing one of those dresses that collects dust in storage." Esther smiled before walking out.

Klaus fully intended on Kiara attending as his date. When he thought to Kiara, and what she would look good in, the perfect dress came in mind. He smirked before walking out of the room.
